The Watergate redesign is phenomenal. The staff was wonderful. Only issue was that they accidentally billed me an extra $312 for parking after already billing me $52 for parking.

Excellent Service. Great Restaurant five stars👏👏👏😊😊😊😂

We checked in at 5:00 p.m., however our room was not ready. This was a bit unusual as check in is at 3:00 p.m. The front desk assistant couldn't have been nicer and provided a complimentary drink for my wife and I at their Kingbird bar. Service at the property was fantastic.

The property was fantastic. The staff was polite, helpful, and professional. The room was clean and very nice. The bathroom was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the "Scandal" room by Mr. Zacharia Powers. It was absolutely fascinating.

Didn’t like the restaurant and their limited dinner menu. No Steak on the menu, unless you ordered through room service??

We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it. It's slightly away from the crowds & noise, yet easy access to everything. The staff was very friendly, nostalgic history and the view of the river was stunning. Enjoyed the rooftop bar at sunset and everyone needs to add this to their list of fabulous spots in DC. Very easy walk to The Kennedy Center and Georgetown shops & waterfront was a bonus. Book it...

Room was nice, king bed comfortable. Very good shower/vanity. Staff was up and down. Front desk great, remainder not so great. Friday late afternoon, went to rooftop bar to get light dinner/drinks before a concert. When it seemed like our two appetizers were taking forever, I went back to the bar to ask how much longer, as we had to go to the show. Bartender said, my bad, forgot to put in your order. Here’s your tab. No apology, no offer to make it up. Later that night the bar staff was far better. Saturday I called housekeeping to say all we needed was towels and a couple of pillows, no need to clean. Late afternoon Saturday, we went back for a nap and put the do not disturb on. 20 minutes into the nap, we get a knock on the door..towel delivery. No pillows. I told the guy we had the do not disturb sign on because we were sleeping and he just stared at me, maybe looking for a tip. Inquired about the pillows and he said he would get them. I asked him to please wait to deliver until the do not disturb light was on. 30 minutes later, another knock on the door, here are the pillows. So now we’ve been woken twice with the do not disturb on. Not what you expect at this level of hotel. Upon checkout, when I looked at the room bill, there was a food charge for the rooftop bar, from Friday. Glad I looked it over because there was an $85+ charge for food we didn’t get. Front desk help was very kind and got it removed, although she said there was a signature on the bill.

DO NOT recommend, at least when booking through Orbitz. We were treated like we did not have a reservation. Our keycards were both deactivated within less than two hours of arrival and we were asked to repeatedly prove that we were guests by the manager, who'd seen us check in. The AC in our room was broken and hotel staff walked in on us three times in under 24 hours. We asked to be moved to a different room, even offering to pay the difference, but were told we could not. I received additional charges to my credit card despite not using any additional service, room service, wetbar, or other amenities. Overall, my wife and I felt that our romantic getaway would have been better serviced, for the same price, by my business travel hotel in DC.

This is a great Hotel. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay one of the best vacations we have ever had.

I liked everything about the hotel friendly staff... beautiful hotel...great customer service...great room service... housekeeping was perfect and clean and beautiful room best hotel

Everyone was very friendly and the overall cleanliness of the facility was exceptional.

very convenient location with few restaurants and shop. staff are friendly and quick. room was spacious and comfortable. true five star hotel

The location is convenient- other than that they did everything else horribly. Check in was slow, staff was arrogant and not very helpful. Asked for room not near elevator - gave me room next to elevator. Spa service waisted 1.5 hrs of my time - never received treatment. Hotel manager never called back as he promised to resolve the issue. Was accosted and embarrass by security in front of guests bringing my bike into hotel. Front desk service just terrible no real sense of urgency or willingness to assist when things don’t go right. Old 70’s eta hotel with nothing special run by Euro capital properties, do your self a favor and stay at Marriott properties, you’ll be glad you did.

This property is nicely located in proximity to the national Mall. The structure is old. Depending on the room your view can be of concrete. The bathroom is nice but shower door wouldn't close completely. Don't believe this should be a five star hotel.

Good location. Great view. Great shower. Large bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Very friendly and usually helpful staff, particularly at concierge/reception. Not enough lighting in room. No lighting switches on many of the lights. Turning lighting off and on required programing lights in a hard to reach, hard to read black input screen. Same problems with fan/heating system on hard to read black screen. . Pre-programmed to have top temperature of 73 degrees. Had to ask housekeeping for help reprogramming temperature. Asked for newspaper to be delivered to room. Only happened once after I complained to staff. Lousy, expensive restaurant with nice but incompetent hostesses.

This is a fun hotel with great style and historical interest. Seemed well suited to business travelers and couples. Nice fasciitis and bar/restaurant options. Might not be the most convenient location for some, but easy walk into Georgetown or to National Mall and very scenic. I gladly would return to The Watergate Hotel on a future visit to DC.
