This hotel is close to both the Smithsonian and the metro. You can get anywhere in the city from this location. Rooms are exceptionally clean. My only feedback is they are a little dated... however the location and cleanliness make this a great stay!

Staff not so fresh when I arrived. There bar area closes at 10 pm so good luck trying to finish a game on TV. They need to upgrade there TV’s in the room to smart TV’s, so bring an IPad or laptop to watch your Apps.

Our room was near railroad tracks and they offered to change our room but noise was not to much for us. Staff is super nice and helpful. Location to transit and national mall is exceptional. Starbucks in lobby and decent bar and grill with good food. Overall a pretty nice stay.

This hotel is in a perfect location if you are going to the National Mall. There are plenty of food options in the hotel as well as a McDonalds and Starbucks on the same block. Staff was wonderful and attentive. Roof top pool was a nice place to relax and the pool bar is the MVP! Rooms are spacious and lots of counter space. Bed was comfortable and the water pressure was great and plenty of hot water. I had a great stay and can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Holiday Inn Staff!

Positives Great Location. Good Breakfast. Family friendly Pool. Adult sufficient gym. Mostly lovely staff. Parking Garage next door. We left the car from Check-in to out, and walked or took the bus to everything that we wanted to see. Negatives:: The Linens were not as clean as I would like. Checkout seemed poorly managed. A long line grew while the only clerk tried to round up 6 adults from one-party (only one in the lobby) to copy their ID cards. I think they should have been put aside until all members of the party arrived.

It had a lot of Food trucks, McDonalds, Starbucks, and the breakfast buffet option was very convenient. I would like a microwave in the room because I went with my baby and I needed to go downstairs to be able to warm his milk inside the reception shop. The hotel was located about one block from the National Mall, near the Air and Space Museum, and about a block from L’Enfant Metro Station, which was very convenient. It was about a half mile walk to the National Archives, about a half mile to a mile walk to most of the museums, about a mile and a half walk to White House, a mile walk Washington Monument, abiut a mile to the wharf, about a mile to the Capitol, and about two miles to walk to the Lincoln Memorial. The hotel itself was fairly nice, but definitely had some issues. A couple of decent dining options, but we never tried them. It had a water-filling station near one of the restaurants (not easy to see from the lobby, so we had to ask someone if there was one), and a little market that sold essentials (snacks, drinks, and toiletries). Not many dining or grocery options near the hotel. We had to walk about a mile to go buy some snacks and milk for the week. Room had refrigerator but no microwave. Our TV did not work well (channels had a lot of static, the guide didn’t work so we had to scroll very slowly, and remote didn’t work… it took 2-3 days to get them to replace the remote.) We asked for more blankets a couple of times which took 2-3 days to deliver. Our bathroom door was broken. The room was comfortable, but a bit dated. Some staff was very friendly, but most were not at all. Pool was small, but warm with a lifeguard. View of the U.S. Capitol building from the roof. This was one of the less expensive hotels.

Disappointed

Hotel room was looking very rundown. The staff member I spoke to at check in said very little, was rude and zero help. We stayed here two years ago and it was much cleaner and the front desk staff so were friendly and helpful . Did not have the same experience this time around.
