The staff was amazingly friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was delicious. Room was comfortable and spotless.

I would stay here again. The hotel was clean, quiet, and the staff was efficient (time-wise) at check-in and check- out. Not sure why the hotel charges the extra amenity/resort fee as these are items most hotels include in the cost of the room except for a Happy Hour drink cart that is available daily in the lobby for about an hour (I was never there to participate). The policy around servicing rooms is not well communicated. I understood that I was to ask for servicing daily or as needed (which I did). However, on the second day, I did not request service, but my room was serviced late in the afternoon. I was quite surprised when I got home that evening. The next day, it was not serviced until I asked. At each service, at least one item was not resupplied ( coffee, coffee cups, bottled water, tissues, soap, etc.). I learned on the fourth evening that I could request a beverage from the cooler behind the check-in desk at no additional charge (water, sodas, etc.). I had been buying water when I was out and about up until then. Not huge issues; just generally inconsistent. Communication at check-in around these policies could improve the experience.

Great service

The website clearly states in faq: Valet parking is available for $60 per night. Day parking (no in/out privileges) is available for $25/day, inclusive of tax, or $15 with Gerrard Street Kitchen validation. Guess what? I got charged 60 per night after agreeing on day parking with no in/out privileges. Called hotel just to be told that if car stays overnight it’s 60$. Very misleading if you ask me. I could have used local garage for less.

The property is perfectly located and it’s beautiful! The team at the hotel was amazing to work with and they made us feel so welcome. The bar was AMAZING and Simone the outrageous bartender made specialty cocktails that were some of the best we’ve had on the East coast. Plus she’s really funny and friendly! This hotel will definitely be a go to stay for us!

Too small no drawers bathroom was so small, closet to small and not enough lights

Good location

The Darcey was nicely placed in the city with the quietest room I've ever had

The hotel was perfectly located for business and entertainment!

The beds are SO comfortable! They even had umbrellas available for guests in the surprise rainstorm!

I think a $25 a day amenities “tax” is ridiculous. Unless this is the norm in DC. The amenities are usually free at most hotels. The WiFi was great but that would be expected in DC. The cleaning staff seemed subpar in that our glasses were never replaced though we used them daily, our Kierig coffeemaker didn’t work and we asked for but did nor get a replacement. Location and room were good.

From the lobby to the room The Darcy was impeccable. The staff friendly and inviting Was a great stay

Spent 4 nights here. The bathroom is very narrow and had 1 sink. The sink faucet was loose and had a funky on/off knob BEHIND the spigot! Had to use 2 hands to turn it on. No aerator so full blast, solid, splashing stream of water each time it was used. You had to go through all cold to get to hot! Terrible design. Sink plug didn't work. Called maintenance twice, they came once. Toilet sits too close to shower, Showerhead too high for wife to reach. Good luck trying to wash just your hair! You have to be a contortionist to attempt that! Keurig was stored in the closet so had to get it out, find a spot, plug it in. Mini fridge was full of high -priced stuff so couldn't put my items in without taking theirs out. Watch out when closing shower doors as the knobs can crush fingers- especially kids who are unaware the first time! Ironically there is an extra 2 feet of unused space in the bedroom which a designer could've used to make a spacious, accommodating bathroom. Whoever designed these rooms was a moron! All that said...the staff was good, location was fine but who cares -with Uber it's a $6 ride to main sites.
