Phoenix Park Hotel

Great hotel on top of a cool Irish Pub with another Irish Pub next to it. So they have great food, music and drinks in an awesome location. Only downer are the noisy ambulances if your room is street side.

Customer service was excellent. Room was very clean.

This hotel met by needs -- near the train station and my meeting on 2nd St. It was warm and comfortable, I felt safe and access to the Dubliner made it even better.

This hotel is a great option for convenience and cost while being close to the sights of DC. It's nicely decorated and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here. Because I book so much through orbitz we were upgraded and our room was a corner room with lots of windows which did make it a bit drafty. If you're prone to being chilly, ask for a room with less exposed walls and carpeted floor. Orbitz also treated us to a bag of trail mix, and little nightcap of Baileys laid out with bathrobes! Such a nice welcome! However, if we had young children we would choose a different property that better serves the little people. Without a close Walgreens or CVS and no vending machines or snacks available catering to the whims of hungry children might be tough. There are plenty of other hotels a short distance away by bus or subway that have free breakfast, pools, and game rooms. Save this hotel for a romantic night in DC. Pros: friendly staff, large rooms, coffee lounge, convenient to train, Circulator bus, other buses, walking distance to Capital, comfortable bed, historical hotel, clean and updated rooms, Corner Bakery close by for breakfast items Cons: $4 water bottles, no ice water in coffee lounge, not too many reasonably priced restaurants within a block, no snacks available for purchase that I could see, drafty without storms, not much to offer for kids

The hotel is right outside Union Station..I got there at 130 pm and was allowed in my room right away...the room is small, elegant super clean..good shower...great bed! my room had a good view of the station...also I asked for a late checkout and got it with no problem...the restaurant downstairs does have a little bit of a smell which you get in the lobby right away...

Great stay. Very comfortable and clean. It had me on Google, looking up the mattress and sheets! Lol. Great hotel! Keep it up!

A clean hotel and quite, walking distance to most things or inexpensive uber ride, would recommend to friends

Friendly staff, close to attractions, loved the pub downstairs.

Great location. Very Clean. Newly Renovated. Great Staff.

Hotel and staff were excellent, the hotel were recently renovated..

Next to Union Station; agre that the pillows were too hard but overall a lovely place to stay

Plumbing problems but staff was responsive Trouble is when purchased from a third party there is limited compensation available when there are issues, as with the plumbing

This hotel is very conveniently located. The bed was very comfortable though the room was overheated. I tried to lower the temperature on the thermostat but it was either broken or automatically overridden. The room lacks a desk which is problematic if you would like to work in your room. But on the whole I would recommend this hotel.

Great restaurant and bar adjacent to the hotel. Hotel is located in the heart of DC.

Great hotel and location. We will definitely be back.

I took my son and a friend to DC for the weekend. The Phoenix Park was so convenient to our monument tour, the museums, and we walked to the White House! The staff is so friendly and my bed was cozy.

The hotel was in a great location! It is about 2 blocks from Union Station (subway, buses, and trains) and about 4 from the Capital. The hotel is very nice. The bathrooms could use a little TLC but the rest of the place more than makes up for it. We saw signs of renovation. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were hoping for a clean room that was close to the Department of Labor. It was perfect. I needed to make copies for a presentation and the front desk was SO helpful

Parking is exhorbitant but staff are very nice and room rate is very good for this location. Have stayed a number of times. Hotel always undergoing some kind of renovation. Bar and restaurant adequate.

Irish charm, DC vibe easy access to the Union Station trains and Metro, the Washington Mall, Capitol Hill, etc
