Great location. We have already chosen this hotel as our go to for our next DC stay. Blocks from the train station and an easy walk to the National Mall.

Excellent location - 3 minutes walk from Union Station - the reason I chose this hotel and made full use of the location - I went back and forth 5 times in 24 hours! I got a decent room, helpful staff. They were able to check me in earlier and were able to hold my luggage for 6 hours post check-out. I was pretty happy with my stay. The only downside - had stale food in the room refrigerator - I did not have time to make a complaint (it didn't matter to me - I don't eat that stuff).

Very convenient to Union Station & Metro. Handsome, smartly appointed historic hotel at reasonable rate. Very friendly staff & great Dubliner Restaurant attached to hotel. Made DC stay memorable. Definitely will return!

Very close to everything. Staff was very friendly. Clean hotel!

Excellent service! When a place makes you forget that you are not home. Priceless....

Friendly staff, beautiful decor & design but since it is an older but beautifully renovated hotel the rooms are a bit small

A very nice hotel. Staff was great. We walked to many attractions.

Fix 706 door. Had trouble getting in. Otherwise a perfect stay.

When you away from home, and wake up in the morning and forget you are not home is a great experience.... Thank you again..see you soon!

This stay makes me not want to come back. The front desk staff were bothered by my need to check in. The elevator is so small only 1person with a suitcase really fits so you can imagine what it's like when the bellman shoves a luggage cart and himself on the lift with you and your luggage so he doesn't have to wait for the next lift. The room was actually larger than I'd stayed in before (this was about my 5th stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel), but as their disclaimer says there may be street noise (they provide foam ear plugs). What they didn't say was that there was a bulldozer that would begin digging up the street at 6:30AM Saturday morning right outside my window. No ear plug manufactured can overcome the sound of digging up concrete. The only option for parking is either walking 3 blocks to a parking garage or using valet at a cost of $57. It just no longer seems worth it to say here when the surrounding hotels have more to offer. Sad to say this was once a charming boutique hotel. The size and other limitations once overcome by a wonderful staff who wanted to please the guest, have been replaced by people just collecting a paycheck.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service this hotel offers. Hotel staff (Jerry, Fifi, Brenda, etc.) were all very professional and accommodating. The room we stayed in was on the 9th floor - spotless and tastefully decorated. The location can't be beat, near public transit! We look forward to staying here again :)

My check in was seamless and the front desk attendant was very pleasant. I was surprised by the room size. It was smaller than I thought. Clean but just very small.

Great location, right across the street from Union Station. Next door to a great Irish pub and also walking distance to the Capitol. We booked this hotel while in town for the Red Sox game against the Nationals and with some Orbitz rewards got a great deal for a one night stay. Very nicely/recently renovated it seemed and the beds were so comfortable. After a long day sitting in the hot sun at the baseball game, it was wonderful to come back to such a comfortable bed! Staff was also very friendly and accommodated us with an early check in! We arrived 4 hours before our checkin time and they had our room ready for us which was great and allowed us to do a lot of sight seeing before the game.

The hotel location was perfect for our weekend at graduation, close to where we needed to be, the train station, and the DC attractions. The staff was gracious, the hotel room was quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed the pub on the first floor on Friday afternoon as we all arrived.

Check in was great and they accommodated us according to our desire of room placement. Front desk, bell hops and room attendants were very hospitable and nice. Clean and updated room and the hotel in general, not a lot of frills but perfect.
