The River Inn

Everything was very nice. The pillows were too flat for our liking but that was the only thing that kept us from giving a score of excellent for comfort. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean inside and outside.

We had a very large, clean and comfortable room. Great location. The staff and valet were wonderful.

We had a very nice and spacious room. Very clean. Was surprised it had a small kitchen. Was also surprised about our bill for one night of valet parking. $50!!! Yes 50. The most i ever paid for one night of parking!! No prices listed or given prior.

The hotel restaurant is excellent. Staff most courteous and helpful. Taxis were always out front so that made it easy to get around the city.

We enjoyed eating at the hotel restaurant "Dish." The location is excellent--close to Georgetown, the Kennedy Center, and Metro.

On a quiet street, the River Inn is a beautiful hotel with a friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Close to M street walking and theres a bus stop 4 min walking to union station. The room was a bit dark, can use more light. Not a new hotel, but serves the purpose. The bed was comfy.

Very nice and confortable. Rooms are clean and well kept. staff attentive and very patient. Like my stay very much.

Excellent and helpful staff. Room was spotless everyday when we returned from our day in the city. Would stay here again. Safe neighborhood and enjoyed walking around the area even at night. Food at Restaurant was very good and priced inline with similar.

The hotel is conveniently located in Georgetown and a few blocks from Foggy Bottom. You can walk to the river and almost everywhere or take the metro/subway. The rooms are generously spacious with amenities not found in regular hotels, like full kitchen-a full size refrigerator, dishes, cups, utensils, toaster and a microwave. The bed was firm and comfortable. The room(5the floor) had a view of Watergate Buildings and a slight portion of the Potomac. Some higher floors must have better view. Staff was very friendly. Clean facilities all around. I will probably choose this hotel deliberately next time I visit Washington DC.

great hotel with pet friendly and clean. It has kitchen large room

Great location for hopping on the Big Bus. Our room was wonderful with a full kitchen and living room and bedroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was pricey, but then it is DC. But the room rate was reasonable so that made up for it. My whole family was totally pleased with my choice of hotel.

We stayed at the River Inn , a hotel we have stayed at for almost 49 years, after knit being there fir a few years. Happy to see it's as pleasant as always , the suites are updated, staff is friendly, location is picture perfect. Keep checking travel sites etc fir the occasional fantastic deal!!

Staying for a long weekend in a Potomac Room, the view upon entry was wonderful. Large windows frame a beautiful view of the river. The room(s) itself comes with a large bedroom, a living room, small bathroom, and a kitchenette, along with the largest shower head I've ever seen...Living at this hotel full time would be a joy! The location offered easy access to the GW area where we were visiting, a short walk to the Metro stop, an easy walk to the Georgetown waterfront, and we even popped over to the Watergate for higher-up views of the city. We were often out late at night, and always felt safe walking through the neighborhood, which is a mix of residential homes and commercial stores. Pricing for the stay was reasonable for the area. We will certainly re-visit on future trips.

Very nice hotel with a 'boutique-y' feel to it. Room was clean, check-in & out were painless, staff was great. (Very) minor nit-picks - the disposal in the kitchen sink was leaking and the cupboard was wet on the bottom. Not a major deal, but it should be fixed sooner rather than later. Also on our last day we did spot one roach in the top corner of the shower area in the bathroom. Not a deal-breaker for me, but my wife was a little freaked out. Let's face it - *every* building in the city has 'em. Everything else about the room was very clean and nice, so I didn't mention it to staff. Suite was do-able for our family of 4 (2 teenagers).

Room provides giant space including kitchen, kitchen table and etc. excellent service! Impressive!

Excellent room. Great staff, super friendly. The trash removal at 6 on Monday and everyday that week was horrible so don't recommend first floor room.

I requested early check in, easily accommodated even though they were at capacity the previous night. Very friendly staff, scheduled a cab pick up at 415AM, arrived early too! Clean, comfortable rooms, in a great neighborhood in Georgetown, very good value.

Great comfortable beds, extra large family suite, quiet safe neighborhood close to good restaurants, friendly accommodating staff, clean and updated, comfortable warm decor and 10 minutes walk to national mall. All that and Reasonably priced! Will definitely make this my regular hotel when I visit again.

One night stay close to my son's apartment. Way better than I had expected or even hoped for.
