Nice location to walk everywhere we wanted to go with wonderful restaurants & transportation if needed. It was wonderful to see the world by looling ar the international embassies as a beginning to our trip!

great people to check you in and take luggage to the room. Had dinner 1 night in hotel, food was good, bar tender awesome. Breakfast was buffet style, limited choices but did the trick. Rooms were good, everything needed was included, ie, nail file, q tips, soaps, coffee maker and coffee, fridge. No complaints at all

My recommendation is that they relocate the check-in desk. It's pretty cramped and also un-air conditioned -- not the best first impression. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities nice. They don't scrimp on the quality of the bed linens and the number of bath towels given. Very clean. The strip of black duct tape holding down the electric cord running across the entry was a feat of masterful engineering :). And the cloth bench at the foot of the bed has seen far better days. It's a $15 Uber ride from DCA. I'll try a different hotel next time.

Only one night, but the place is great. The room is really classy.

My daughter and I stayed at the Fairfax in DC recently. Everything at this hotel was wonderful! Friendly staff and very comfortable beds to sleep in. Great location for restaurants too.

Great location. Loved this hotel. Great staff!!! Cute room

The Fairfax is beautiful, and clean. The food is good, and fairly priced. The location is great. You're about a five minute walk from Dupont Circle where you can find many kinds of restaurants and shops. The Wi-Fi is too expensive at $11 per day. It's way cheaper to add data to your phone. Concerning TV the channel selection is pathetic and in SD. But you're not really in DC to watch TV. We stayed for 6 nights. The exhaust fan in the bathroom broke the first afternoon. We reported it twice, but they never fixed it. The bathroom sink started to leak, but they fixed that fairly promptly.

Really fine location in Washington with comfortable and spacious rooms. Quiet and with excellent service. Will come back at next visit to the area.

Very good, clean and confortable,, personal so nice

Embassy Row is a world geography lesson. Great place to walk Georgetown Kalo Rama Dupont circle all within walking distance The Internet connection fees are exorbitant only drawback

The hotel is located in a beautful residential area of Washington. There are lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood and metro access is about 3oo meters away. The room was spacious and up to par with what we were expecting. A beautiful historical building with friendly staff.

My experience at Fairfax was OK ... I came with my husband and son and stayed 2 nights. We wanted beverages in the night and there weren't any vending machines =( Also their restaurant is not open all day =( When my husband came down in the middle of the night to ask the front desk something .... No One Was There ! I had to call from my cell phone in the room 'cause the room phone didn't work and finally he picked up and I told them the situation. Their response was that they do administrative work in the back ...

Overall it was nice. Our partners received bath robes in their rooms. We did not. We were told that they had suites. However one couple did not, yet they also had bath robes. The night manager said she was sending us complimentary robes, but never did. Why say something and not follow through? The breakfast was overpriced and they serve the same thing every day. The day manager Q,is excellent and made our stay memorable. She deserves a pay raise.

First time in Washington DC and our experience was very positive.

I had to give a low rating to the staff because a barmaid was THE RUDEST staff person I ever have seen! I complained to the management about her but no compensation nor any reply was given to me so far...more than 4 days later! Also, they have NO room service and be sure to bring your bedroom slippers! They don't offer them! Hotel is in a nice location and rooms are lovely, quiet and spacious.

Great staff at check in. prompt ancd courteous service. nice location. room was nice althouh would have preferred queen size beds as compared to double beds. overall cannot say anything bad about experience.

Very nice but no bathrobes in the room. Love the toiletries, everything is very comfortable, nice. Excellent location!

The room and bathroom are a a nice size. had repeated problems thermostat. woke up to a freezing room the first two days of my stay because the thermostat/heating would shutdown. staff didnt really seem to care. had to call and go to the front desk to get something done.

We went to DC to visit 3 colleges. Fairfax located on Embassy Row was the perfect location to see American University, Georgetown & George Washington. The proximity to great diverse restaurants was a plus and the accommodations were fantastic! Great beds & bedding! Loved it!

The hotel was nice but way overpriced even for D.C. I spent more money on my room than Anyone in the area and even in the same hotel. Paying $740.00 per day for a room with worn chairs and very few amenities -breakfast was not included; should have stayed at a Comfort or Holiday Inn. The staff was pleasant however.
