The Fairfax at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C.

Was not informed prior to stay that hotel was under renovation. Room was clean but shower head was broken and tv went in and out. View wasn’t great and hotel is only close to the red metro line. Would recommend to others when updates have been done.

Second stay here. Lobby and restaurant undergoing construction but staff went out of their way to accommodate

The Fairfax is a nice hotel, with nice charm. It's everything you need and a great location.

Staff always friendly. Doormen always willing to help made our stay memorable. The hotel is close to many restaurants. Nice and fancy embassy area. If you stay at the Fairfaxdon't miss the chance to hava a comfort food dinner at Bistro Bistro, wirthin 5 minutes walking. Super friendly staff and great food, reasonable prices. Enjoy!

Very warm staff, elegantly furnished, good location

The amenities were very nice. Ina nice neighborhood with many restaurants nearby. We had empanadas for lunch and pub food for dinner. It was about a two Mille walk to the National Mall which was fine with us. The room was very comfortable. I would recommend to my friends!

The staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean.

Don't be put off by the hard-to-open front door and the crowded check-in area. The Fairfax is a beautiful, well-run, super-comfortable hotel in one of the best locations in DC. (The Phillips Gallery is only one block away!) Decor is classically elegant, food and drink are reasonably priced and high quality. My room was blissfully quiet and well-appointed. Extra points for the over-sized, soft and absorbent bath towels. I will be staying here on all my visits to DC! You should too.

Orbitz listed this as a four star hotel. The first room I was placed in had old stinky food in the fridge with a sickening smell that took over the entire room. I was then moved to another room that had filthy and stained white chairs. I did not stay the night and yet my credit card was billed for MORE than what was listed by orbitz.

Located in a great area. We were able to walk to the metro everyday Also several nice restaurants nearby.

Great hotel, friendly staff, convenient location (Close to the metro). The room was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great... We would stay here again...

Wonderful! Staff was great, room was great and location is unbeatable...close to the subway and restaurants in D. Circle and walking distance to restaurants at Foggy Bottom. I visited D.C. many times but my first stay at this hotel. I will definetly stay here again.

Although close to the metro trains we felt uncomfortable walking around the immediate neighborhood because of many panhandlers/homeless people that approached us (not just on the sidewalks but actually within some of the restaurants while we were eating). The hotel staff were polite and helpful, responding quickly to any of our concerns and requests. The room itself was spotlessly clean however very small for the two of us; the furniture was literally squeezed in (we had to keep stepping aside for each other just to walk around the bed). And the only place to sit to watch the TV was side-by-side on the bed. There was a chilly draft near both windows (i.e. along the far side of the bed and in the bathroom directly behind the commode)

Nice older hotel with a great staff and convenient location

This historical hotel is located in a nice area with a lot of restaurants, close to Dupont Circle Metro Station. There is a Circulator bus stop close to the hotel to get to Georgetown, where is a tremendous variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel has a gym with several treadmills, universal machine and set of dumbells as well as a bar.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was very cost and the staff was very polite and willing to help you check in and out smoothly

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel from Monday thru Wednesday. Staff was pleasant, hotel was clean and neat. Historic hotel ; the pictures are great to look at.

The location worked well for my recent business trip to DC.

I stayed two nights, ate breakfast at the restaurant, and used the fitness facilities. Overall this was a great stay and I would recommend it to others visiting the area.

This is my second time staying in this hotel...my wife loved it...very convinient...clean and relaxing. Nice area surround the hotel...good restaurants within a block away...airport 15 min away. I will be loyal to this fantastic hotel for years to come....
