The hotel is very nice and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The AC is quiet but the top covers on the bed were fairly light and it got too cold with the AC on at night and it was too hot without it :( On the 3rd night, though, I finally found a comfortable setting. Overall, this was a very nice hotel but what really took away from the experience was the additional $48/day parking fee (which is in addition to $12/hour if you come and go), and the $15 daily "resort" fee that they charge for Wi-Fi (up to 3 devices) and two bottles of water. None of those costs show up when comparing hotel rates, and it was frustrating having to pay so much in additional fees every day, especially since there was no discount from the public parking rate despite the hotel elevators being the only way to access the garage. If I'd taken public transportation I'd have probably given a 5-star review, and even a $10-20 discount would have been greatly appreciated

The hotel staff canceled my reservation without contacting me. I got an email the day of arrival that it had been canceled because my card was declined. I called the hotel and spoke to the manager who informed me that my room had been given away and the hotel was booked. I could have easily given them another form of payment but was not even given the chance. Very bad customer service and I will never book a room at liaison hotel again. Also, will discourage my friends from booking with them. The hotel looks nice from the pictures but if you want a guaranteed room when you're traveling, go with another hotel.

Good location but I specific looked for a place with a pool. Day one closed the pool for a private party and day 2 closed the pool for a 21+ event. The kids were not happy. We should have been informed.

Front desk was very rude each and every time I had an opportunity to engage with them.

Easy axis to the US Capital, Mall, and walking distance to Union Station. West Wing Cafe is a nice sandwich shop across the street from the hotel. Only draw back is the CCNV homeless Shelter two blocks away.

Perfect location. Walking distance to everywhere that we wanted to go.

I stayed here for an event in the area. It was a great location and easy to walk places from here. It was easy to get a ride too when that was needed. The hotel facilities were good though they charge for use of the business center and the prices for other services are expensive. The restaurant on site looks good but also seems pricey. Luckily, there is a starbucks, billy goat tavern that serves cheap breakfast, and lunch counter nearby. There are also places to eat in the Union station area a few blocks away. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and I'll probably stay here again on future visits.

I was delighted that this hotel was the closest available to the capitol and congressional buildings and yet at such an affordable rate. It far exceeded my expectations.

hotel staff very friendly food good directions given helpful tips provided for transportation excellent

The room we stayed in smelled of cigarette smoke. The sheet on the bed that covers the mattress did not cover all way through the feet area causing our feet to rest directly on the mattress, which is an undesirable situation. The room was clean though. No free wifi. To get wifi, you must pay $16 a day.

When we arrived, it took several minutes for a valet to come for our car. We eventually had to go over to them and ask for help. At the front desk, we were informed that they were renovating the elevators and so two of the four were not operational and the other two would be shut down from midnight until 8 AM. That meant using the stairs if we needed to enter or exit the building to and from our room. We were placed next to a stairwell on the 4th floor so it wasn't too much of a climb. The two elevators that were running shook and bounced every time they started and stopped. The lobby bar closes at 10:30 every night, even on weekends which was inconvenient if you wanted a late snack or beverage. The room was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom was VERY tiny. A nice addition was the pump bottles of Jonathan Adler body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. No tiny little travel bottles to try hang onto if you didn't bring your own! There was a tray of half eaten food in the hall all day that had been left outside a room near ours. Even after housekeeping went through it was still there. It only changed when room service brought another meal and then took away the old food. Then the leftovers from new meal were left in the hall.

I stayed here on vacation with my granddaughter. I can't really complain about pool hours for kids because it is more of an 'adult' biel and wasn't billed as family friendly so we worked around the unusual hours for family swimming. The hotel was beautiful and in an exceptional location. The lobby and front desk staff were wonderful. Although the rooms were well maintained and clean, housekeeping staff needs a little training in customer service. We frequently had to wait for the next elevator because housekeeping had the one or two that seemed to be in service tied up filed with carts, etc. The elevators themselves were a bit of an issue as well. I never saw one of the four working and a second one made unnerving noises and shuddered often. Other than that, all was well.

Clean and comfortable. Location was a bit sketchy but within walking distance of sites. No refrigerator or microwave and not free wifi.

No wifi and not bathroom vents. Comfortable bed and good location

Went for the Together 2016 event. Room was nice and clean but amazing rooftop pool closed way too early because there is a bar also. No fridge, micro or even laundry facility. Close to Union Station and Capital but a ways to go if walking to National Mall or museums.

Very clean modern hotel. Didn't get to see the rooftop pool because it was under construction. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip to DC.

I have stayed at the Liaison twice in recent months for business trips. It is lovely - conveniently close to Union Station and Congressional buildings, very clean and comfortable, and it has a great on-site restaurant. Wifi was speedy and reliable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My overall experience was very good. Close to Union Station. Quiet room.

Great location close to the Capitol for walking. Also, enjoyed the restaurant greatly.

Easy walk to National Mall, and the Capitol. Once at the National Mall, found that all museums closed at 5:30pm, so we just enjoyed a walk and the beautiful sunset over the National Monument. Walked back to hotel area, and stopped at an Irish bar, but was way too loud, so decided to have dinner at our hotel. Bit expensive for type of place but good.
