I chose this hotel for its location, the fact there is a coffee maker in the room and price (because I had to beat the bloc my conference had at another hotel). Those three delivered but I would hesitate to stay here again, in part because of the long waits involved any time I had to interact with the front desk. There was always a long line until they staffed up to three people, which should have been accomplished before the line grew to 8 or 9 deep. This was bad when you had a small need such as rekeying your card. A resort charge is levied for a free cup of coffee (not available until after 7 am) , free phone calls (phone did not work) and electronic versions of newspapers (not used). It's ridiculous to levy a resort charge given that level of service for these items.

I stayed here because I was attending a conference at the hotel across the street. I had a great experience at this hotel. The location was walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, a Starbucks and the Capitol Building. The staff were ALL very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. The room was clean, attractive and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

No USB ports in the room (Unless you want to plug your phone in the back of your TV).

We only really wanted to go down to the restaurant to have a few drinks and get some milk for our kids. The waitress gave us a disapproving look when we told her that we would just have drinks, so we felt forced into ordering something. They also charged us $5 per cup of milk (less than 8oz in each cup). So we ended up getting $100 bill for something we didn't even really want as we had dinner elsewhere. The room was ok overall, but we were on the 7th floor and could hear everything that the guys were talking about all the way down outside of the hotel! It almost felt like the windows were open, but I suppose they are just cheap window with no soundproof at all. We stayed in various hotels in Chicago and New York, so right in the city, but we never had such flimsy windows in any other hotels.

Everything was great except for the construction noise. The construction was on the 10th floor and we were on the 9th floor so it was pretty unbearable from 9 in the morning till 5 in the evening...on a Saturday nonetheless.

D'Angelo (sp?) at the front desk was fantastic addressing my questions and requests first via text before check-in and during check-in as well. Great customer service!!!

Dirty Toilet. Toilet Flush is not strong. Flies and gnats in the rooms Squeaky sound of water filling up toilet tank from next door. Bellman was rude if no tip is given.

Enjoyed our stay at the Liason Capital Hill Hotel. Very convenient location, friendly staff, nice rooms. Compared to other major hotels in the area, the room rates were very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to a family member or friend.

Friendly, competent staff. Nice lobby bar and restaurant. GREAT Location.

Large room, nicely decorated, good bed and bedding. Professional and cordial staff.

The hotel was less than a 10 minute walk to Union Station where we picked up the DC Circulator to head to the Mall. We walked most of the time, which was great. The hotel is older and was surprised they did not have an electrical outlet in the bathroom, so be prepared to sit on the floor to dry your hair while staring into a huge floor mirror. However, some remodeling has been done and the rooms were nice. There is a daily "resort fee" tacked on to the rate, which I understand is becoming more common. Make sure you are aware of all the extra charges. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located near the capital and within walking distance from many of the important Washington monuments/museums. There is a Starbucks close by and a Walmart within a half mile. The hotel has a nice restaurant as well. Overall the hotel is in a great, safe location and has nice amenities, including a standard large screen TV. I would definitely stay at the Liason on a return trip to Washington.

I used to work in DC so this trip was a chance to play tourist in my old haunts. The hotel is in a prime location, easy walking distance to museums, restaurants and the two metro stops. Note that is is also close to the D.C. Police headquarters so the sirens can be pretty loud on weekend nights. The staff members, from maintenance to management, are all polite and eager to please. If you book through Orbiz, pay close attention to what is covered by the resort fee to avoid double charges.

Excellent location. In walking distance of so many of the tourist destinations Rooftop Pool affords an excellent break for children between sightseeing destinations. Excellent food in adjacent restaurant.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The AC is quiet but the top covers on the bed were fairly light and it got too cold with the AC on at night and it was too hot without it :( On the 3rd night, though, I finally found a comfortable setting. Overall, this was a very nice hotel but what really took away from the experience was the additional $48/day parking fee (which is in addition to $12/hour if you come and go), and the $15 daily "resort" fee that they charge for Wi-Fi (up to 3 devices) and two bottles of water. None of those costs show up when comparing hotel rates, and it was frustrating having to pay so much in additional fees every day, especially since there was no discount from the public parking rate despite the hotel elevators being the only way to access the garage. If I'd taken public transportation I'd have probably given a 5-star review, and even a $10-20 discount would have been greatly appreciated

The hotel staff canceled my reservation without contacting me. I got an email the day of arrival that it had been canceled because my card was declined. I called the hotel and spoke to the manager who informed me that my room had been given away and the hotel was booked. I could have easily given them another form of payment but was not even given the chance. Very bad customer service and I will never book a room at liaison hotel again. Also, will discourage my friends from booking with them. The hotel looks nice from the pictures but if you want a guaranteed room when you're traveling, go with another hotel.

Good location but I specific looked for a place with a pool. Day one closed the pool for a private party and day 2 closed the pool for a 21+ event. The kids were not happy. We should have been informed.

Front desk was very rude each and every time I had an opportunity to engage with them.

Easy axis to the US Capital, Mall, and walking distance to Union Station. West Wing Cafe is a nice sandwich shop across the street from the hotel. Only draw back is the CCNV homeless Shelter two blocks away.

Perfect location. Walking distance to everywhere that we wanted to go.
