When I got there my father used my restroom after checked in and told us later that he found a bug on him in the bathroom. Because I didn't see the bug, I didn't know if it came from outside or was a bed bug. I called the hotel and asked them if they could send someone up to check the room. No one called back so I spent my afternoon sight seeing worrying that there were possibly bed bugs in my room. my husband had to go back to the room to grab something and while he was there he did a full sweep of the room and didn't find anything. Later that night I found a note from housekeeping saying they checked the room and didn't find anything. I don't know if they came before or after my husband checked the room. If they had just called back then he wouldn't have wasted his time. With a concern like that I was disappointed that they didn't take the time to just make a quick call. Other observations: you can't see the capital from the hotel like the pictures lead you to believe and the hotel is a little outdated and there's no fridge in the room. Otherwise it was fine. The concierge was nice but the valet and front desk people were not friendly.

Great location, incredible buffet, walking distance to Union Station, Metro, Capitol Hill, and Smithsonian museums.

I was looking something closer to mall and this turned out to be good option. Hotel is 2 minutes distance from Capitol and less than 10 mins walk from air and space museum. Room was ok .... to be honest I had higher expectations from Hyatt Regency as far room goes. Didn't turn out to be as great. Hotel had good swimming pool. We didn't get enough time to enjoy it . Breakfast was best part of hotel. Great hot breakfast with numerous options. Overall I recommend it to anyone looking for nice place closer to capitol and national mall.

Great location to the Capital building and a block away from Union Station. Really nice deli restaurant for breakfast and lunch located next to hotel. Very affordable compare to the rest of DC. The staff found out we got married on a Saturday of one of several night's stay, and gave us a complementary bottle of Champagne. Very nice of them. All staff were exceptionally kind.

Very small rooms. Slow elevators for hotel size. Over-priced but well located for the Capitol and related offices.

I was quite surprised that a Hyatt did not have a mini frig in the room It was inconvenient walking through the lobby to get to the pool and fitness center

Megan, at the front desk is great. I needed to print four passes and she did it for me. The maids were helpful and kind.

1. Restaurant staff need training on how to treat customers 2. Rooms are missing basic emminties, such as microwave and small refigirator 3. Bathroom needs to be upgrade for more convenience 4. AC doesn't work right And many other issues

This hotel is beautiful and very accommodating. It's in a great spot. Within walking distance of Union station and not far from National Mall, half hour walk. The one downside is there are not too many great places to eat nearby so you would have to travel a bit. However I loved my stay and I have already told family and friends to stay there.

All fine. Conference across the street worked well

We like to take the train to DC and walk to the hotel, which is only a block away. The staff are very helpful and hospitable. When we arrived for our most recent visit, the room we got was right beside the elevator, which we could hear. We asked for another room and were accommodated right away. We had a light meal in the bar. Our server was helpful and I enjoyed my selection. My husband found his food to be overcooked. We also visited the gift shop, which has almost anything you need. I would stay at the Hyatt Regency again.

Chose this hotel for the inside pool and location. The pace was nice but the pool was too cold for the kids and the room was too warm for the adults. After the first day we came back from the museums around 2:00 pm and the room had not had service. I called the front desk and they sent someone back up. The place was nice but the issues with the pool and room temperature would prevent me from booking here again.

Like the location of hotel, it is very close to major attractions, such as Capitol Hill, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress.

Walkable distance to museums. Housekeeping wasn't great.

Location is great, walking distance to major monuments and attractions, easy to find transportation. However the after hours ROOM service menu is really bad and extremely expensive. Overall staff from the bar were very kind and good was nice.

We stayed in 201during the week of Thanksgiving. The bathroom did not have a heat vent and it was freezing every single morning. Also the toilet ran off and on nightly. The room was clean but this made for an unpleasant stay at this hotel. I would suggest to offer your guests complementary coffee in the Lobby. We have stayed numerous hotels in our travels and never were not offered coffee in the Lobby. A hot cup on our way out exploring would have been lovely . We will not be returning to this property. Thank you

The location is Good but the beds are full beds instead of queen sizes. Small rooms. Old rooms, also at the bar the menus was discussing. This hotel looks 1 or 2 starts hotel not a 4 stars. Never again for the price.

Wifi didn't allow for business use as it was blocking proxy service. TV service was horrible. Bed was mediocre. No mini fridge. Bar closed early. In room coffee is horrible.

Everyone was very nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The best part is that we could walk to the Capital and Union Station, the National Mall was very close. Taxi's were available at all hours right outside the entrance and good restaurants were in easy walking distance.

The room was nice and kept spotless during our stay. We only ate 1 time in the hotel (breakfast) and the concierge was very helpful in choosing Restaurants .
