Hyatt Regency Washington DC

We like to take the train to DC and walk to the hotel, which is only a block away. The staff are very helpful and hospitable. When we arrived for our most recent visit, the room we got was right beside the elevator, which we could hear. We asked for another room and were accommodated right away. We had a light meal in the bar. Our server was helpful and I enjoyed my selection. My husband found his food to be overcooked. We also visited the gift shop, which has almost anything you need. I would stay at the Hyatt Regency again.

Chose this hotel for the inside pool and location. The pace was nice but the pool was too cold for the kids and the room was too warm for the adults. After the first day we came back from the museums around 2:00 pm and the room had not had service. I called the front desk and they sent someone back up. The place was nice but the issues with the pool and room temperature would prevent me from booking here again.

Like the location of hotel, it is very close to major attractions, such as Capitol Hill, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress.

Walkable distance to museums. Housekeeping wasn't great.

Location is great, walking distance to major monuments and attractions, easy to find transportation. However the after hours ROOM service menu is really bad and extremely expensive. Overall staff from the bar were very kind and good was nice.

We stayed in 201during the week of Thanksgiving. The bathroom did not have a heat vent and it was freezing every single morning. Also the toilet ran off and on nightly. The room was clean but this made for an unpleasant stay at this hotel. I would suggest to offer your guests complementary coffee in the Lobby. We have stayed numerous hotels in our travels and never were not offered coffee in the Lobby. A hot cup on our way out exploring would have been lovely . We will not be returning to this property. Thank you

The location is Good but the beds are full beds instead of queen sizes. Small rooms. Old rooms, also at the bar the menus was discussing. This hotel looks 1 or 2 starts hotel not a 4 stars. Never again for the price.

Wifi didn't allow for business use as it was blocking proxy service. TV service was horrible. Bed was mediocre. No mini fridge. Bar closed early. In room coffee is horrible.

Everyone was very nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The best part is that we could walk to the Capital and Union Station, the National Mall was very close. Taxi's were available at all hours right outside the entrance and good restaurants were in easy walking distance.

The room was nice and kept spotless during our stay. We only ate 1 time in the hotel (breakfast) and the concierge was very helpful in choosing Restaurants .

Great place to stay. There is alot to do in the nearby area. Metro station located two blocks away.

Great location, very convenient...great staff, very friendly and attentive.

Everyone on staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location was close to all the areas of the city we wanted to be.

Good location. Dirty rooms, floors, bed sheets....stained. GROSS. Dining room/restaurant disappointing.

Great experience, friendly staff, but needs a refrigerator. Towels should be changed daily when room is cleaned.

Walking distance to all of the main attractions, great location. Not as pricey with packaged deal. Awesome staff. Expensive to dine in

My view was a homeless shelter. We took a wrong turn had to walk by a man urinating on the wall in front of our kids. Only thing this is close to is union station. We had to Uber all over. They kept deactivating my key card .The hotel was over run with law student interviews being held in guest rooms randomly instead of one area. This seems to be more like a convention hotel! Staff was friendly enough but they are slow to remove food trays from outside the rooms or deliver anything you might need to your room. I ask for band aids got trash bags at 7:00 am instead of the night before. Oh well!

This hotel was a perfect location one block from the Circulator bus that takes you to the National Mall. Also, we used the Metro train from the airport and the hotel is two blocks from the Union Station. The room was great, but the windows don't open. Also, we found limited gluten free dining here, but that is consistent for around DC. I would stay at this hotel again!

Great location to see US Capitol national mall, etc. neighborhood was safe and nice places to eat. Room service dishes sat in the hall from breakfast until evening from our neighbors. Our neighbors spent 2 hours try to get into the room. There were enough elevators. It was HOT they really ripped you off on the basics of water just keep people hydrated! I would not stay here again.
