I had a great stay at the Fairmont! The hotel is a very lovely retreat. Clean and inviting. The staff are top notch and will take care of all your needs. Their concierge Marc was very helpful and recommended a great local restaurant. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with my stay!

The ambiance, friendly staff and comfortable room won me over for my one-night stay in Georgetown. The room was clean and the furniture was not outdated. The bathroom was spacious and modern. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in DC. It's fairly close to restaurants, but you may have to take a short cab ride if you don't want to walk a few blocks. I found the parking fee very high at $51/day so I opted to park across the street, however it was 2-hour parking from 7am-6:30pm so I eventually moved my car to a garage across the street for $19/12hrs.

One the cleanest beautiful hotel with great staff in the DC area

Awful horrible customer service. I had an issue and was given the run around. Waste of money

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. I had stayed at this hotel before and was not disappointed when I returned several years later. The hotel is classy and clean. The Staff is attentive and go out of their way to please. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are oh, so comfortable! We lucked out with a king room w/ balcony overlooking the atrium gardens - along with 70-80 degree temp days in mid-October! Beside the lush and clean accommodations we met some great Staff members who we can't wait to see again! Hardworking, kind, loving people - really added to our get-away: Matthew at registration Mundu & Tazika in the Lounge Tracey & Richard at outside valet check-in...thanks for making our stay extra special.

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont. Everyone from our arrival to departure were very kind and helpful to us. The restaurant staff were particularly attentive not only to our nutritional needs but treated us like family. You could not ask for a better home away from home.

Really nice hotel, great decor and clean! Everything in our room was perfect. Had a great view and slept amazing.

The hotel was very nice. However, the parking was $48 a night which I thought that was very steep. The advertising and my confirmation indicated this hotel had complimentary breakfast, Which was the main reason why we picked this hotel. When we arrived we were told to get the complimentary breakfast you have to be part of the gold something or other. To be a gold member you have to pay an additional $150 a night to get the breakfast amenity. I have never heard of such a thing. Why would anyone pay $150 addl a night for breakfast? Not a place I would ever go back to.

Great hotel in a great location. Plenty of services and classy place

Overall a good experience. I would recommend to friend.

Recent working trip where I needed convenient place to stay and would be spending significant time in the room working. This hotel met my needs perfectly. Clean, spacious room. Quiet. Staff was very nice and accommodating. I needed to change plans and extend my stay several days and the front desk staff worked with me to figure out a reasonable rate to do so. Convenient to Georgetown where there is plenty of shopping and restaurants, including a nice grocery store to stock up on water and snacks. Not too close to government offices and tourist attractions, but overall a great place in a very nice location.

Great hospitality by all the staff at the hotel. TheJuniper restaurant is a good choice for dinner. The Pianno at night st lobby a great place to have a drink and eat small bites.

Very pleasant experience, nice location, I enjoyed my stay

We arrived at the hotel expecting to check into the hotel room we were promised by this discount organization, which was an oversized corner with double beds and a sitting area. The clerk, instead, confirmed that our room with a King bed was ready (I was standing at the counter with my two children). I showed her my confirmation for the room I was promised and she told me that it wasn't available. Instead we were given a room (2 double beds) with a "courtyard" view. There was no courtyard; there was no view. Within 50 feet across from us was what looked like an office building window. Below us was a driveway. When I asked to speak with the manager, he stated that the discount travel organization has no authority to promise us a specific room. We were in the hotel for less than 24 hours so, for me, it wasn't worth the time I would waste in arguing. I, instead, asked the manager for a late checkout the next day; the hotel was booked and I was denied. The location (Foggy Bottom) was great. Next time, I'll try the Westin, across the street.

We were given a corner room on the 10th floor, which was clean, quiet and comfortable. The king size bed was super comfy, as were the goose down/feather pillows. Upon arrival, they asked if we preferred feather or foam pillows, which was a nice touch. (The worst is having to sleep on a hard foam pillow in a hotel). The shower pressure was great, also. Air conditioning worked really well, which was a welcome relief from the heat and humidity of the DC summer weather. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had an issue in the business center trying to print out a document, and the Concierge assisted us until the problem was resolved. We ordered room service for breakfast, and it arrived quickly. Food was good quality, warm, and coffee was hot. The details matter, and the Fairmont delivered.

The Fairmont was top notch. The lobby is beautiful, the room spacious. The service was great! The location is very convenient. The only negative was the gym. For such a nice hotel the gym felt like it was in a basement and it was tiny. There was an independent health club in the hotel that you had to pay $10 to use but for such a high end hotel they should have a gym equal to the rest of the amenities

We recently celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary and the Fairmont, Washington, DC was the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful hotel, best staff in the world, wonderful food at a great value. We visited the Riverfront and Mount Vernon and ate at several local seafood restaurants. We stayed at the same Fairmont last year for our 38th anniversary and my husband and I agreed that our experience was even better this year!

This definitely one of finest Luxury Hotels in DC. An absolute wonderful experience.

I really enjoyed the hotel. The staff and the facility was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the lounge in the lobby with the piano bar and snacks. The restaurant is a separate entity that does not live up to the excellence of the hotel. The food was great but the service not so slow and non-engaging. Five stars to the hotel, 2.5 stars to the restaurant. Not to worry, there are plenty of great places to eat near by. Peace....AMS

Checkin was handled very well. Attendant was very courteous. Room was initially as advertised - spacious and well appointed. However later in the after a day waling and touring it became clear that this was an old hotel building with some very antiquated mechanical services. By far the worst was the air conditioner/ heater. It was extraordinarily loud and very abrupt in its frequent on-off cycling. In retrospect I should have immediately asked for another room. When I mentioned the loud a/c on checkout I was told "Yes we are going floor by floor to replace outmoded fixtures." New guests should clearly request an updated floor. The description clearly states that high-speed internet is available in the room. It is deceptive to read that and then we told the charge was $14.00/day. When communicating with a receptionist asking for my frequent flyer perk of free internet, I was frustrated with the rudeness and dismissiveness of the agent who begrudgingly gave me my upgrade. In all, a less than positive experience.
