I came to this hotel with family. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The one thing that I did like was no breakfast of any sort was included. I found this to be odd. Furthermore the restaurant that is in the hotel is good but expensive. If you have anyone with you that cannot travel down the block to a more reasonable restaurant you may find yourself paying far too much for your regular morning breakfast. I would stay here again but i would make sure whomever i am with has the ability to walk down the block.
I stay here on a regular basis and continue to be impressed with the staff. The hotel is nice and clean however it is the staff that go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. This is why I continue to use this hotel on my business travels. Big KUDOS to Val & Aneesa (Club Lounge & Front Desk), they make the stay particularly enjoyable.
Spent two nights on business. If you need to stay here there isn’t anything wrong with it. Rooms are clean and reasonably modern. I did notice a second hand smoke smell in the bathroom from the vent to the point that I closed the door and kept the window open overnight. It kind of defeats the purpose of a smoke free room!!!? Expect airplane noise as the hotel is right under flight path of primary runway. And no real food options beyond road house fair.
After having a positive experience last year we chose to stay here again. We come uop from Buffalo to get direct flights out of Toronto. Easy reservation process, I phoned about one month in advance. I prefer speaking with someone to confirm any parking limitations. The check-in process was quick and easy and we were able to get into our room ahead of official check in time. Lots of restaurants to choose from to grab a bite. We gave visited Jack Astors across the street both times but don't think we'll be returning there. Free shuttle service to and from the airport was timely, friendly and clean. Returned to the hotel after nine nights to find our vehicle safe and sound. Another great stay here, it'll remain our go-to place to stay when traveling from Toronto.
I called in to check availability for a day room at the hotel, and the gal was so quick to dismiss me!! no suggestions of where else i could get a day room!! Awful and brutal and would definitely suggest staying here!!
We had a clean quiet room with two comfortable beds, a small desk and corner lounger and lots of USB charging stations. With Starbucks coffee in the rooms and available in the bar area we were able to complete the last second changes required for the Saturday night presentation in lots of time. The event room was well set up, the food was great and the service quick and efficient, our only complaint would be the too quick clean-up at desert, when our entire table walked to the side of the room for a picture, our coffee and half finished food was removed from the table.
I am an SPG member so I stay on that preferred floor, always. They know it. Thursday it took 1½ hours to check in - no room ready on two floors ! I did get the room then found: no bag for ice bucket only one computer in lobby had internet connection remote control channel selector only goes down not up so they switch with another room leaving them the defective one light hanging down out of ceiling in bathroom no wash cloths pillows slide off of bed behind headboard second day of stay - no service to replace shampoo, dirty towels On checkout, asked for map to address in Oakville, they gave me that address in North York. Good thing I looked at map before I embarked. You'd think if they are charging you top price you'd get those basic things that are included with your visit. Room was nice overall, but so much was missing.
Very clean large rooms, terrific views of planes landing , great bar and restaurant as well! Excellent value for the the night stay, shuttle service to airport and parking your car for 12 days...Can’t beat being relaxed for your early morning flight! I highly recommend!
Our travel agent booked this beautiful hotel for us as a Stay, Park & Fly option before our cruise last month. What an excellent choice. Room was quiet, modern and clean, upscale furnishings and linens, front desk staff super helpful and friendly. Eight days of parking came with the room just in case we were delayed returning. Unfortunately the restaurant on sight is very upscale and Mediterranean. Not our taste but there are lots of other options near by. This will be our go to hotel anytime we travel now.
It has been awhile since I have posted a review for the Sheraton on Dixon. Mainly because I think of this as OUR little home away from home. Whenever we travel (easy convenient shuttle to yyz) or have conference in town we stay here and there is really no reason to stay anywhere else. The staff are awesome, the newly renovated rooms are beautiful and quiet (hello ..big white Sheraton duvets!) and the food and service in the restaurant Olio is absolutely amazing. I will say we haven't checked out the "satellite" restaurant Chop yet, but simply because Olio has always been perfect and we love the atmosphere. So if you are looking for the perfect place to stay....The Sheraton is always Perfect... PS please bring back the Tex Mex mix at the bar :-)
