DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

The server at the restaurant charged us 15% on a party of 5 dinner bill. We believe this occurred because the same waiter served us drinks the night before and we did not tip on the drink order. Normally we never tip on drink orders. It was insulting that he imposed a set tip on the dinner order.

Great location, near various restaurants, shopping centers and tourist attractions at walking distance. If you are driving then prepare to pay a parking charge for the night.

We stayed here six nights, and were very pleased with the hotel. Good location, nice facilities, and very reasonable price.

The accomodations, staff, and hotel were excellent. Everyone was really nice, and went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers. Thank you. Jerry A Johnson

This is a nice hotel and it is close to a lot of different attractions which is good if you plan on walking. Also it is close to the city sightseeing hop on hop off bus starting location at eaton centre.

Disappointed with long delays to get an elevator. Disappointed with supply of carpark places despite premium charge. Liked the free cookies at check in.

The Doubletree downtown Toronto is in a convenient location. It is clean and the decor is refreshing. The beds and rooms are on the small side - I believe full-sized instead of queens. The staff is friendly, and parking is available on-site.

Except for the parking space, -extremely small and expensive ($35 usd per night), I would recommend it. Room very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, nice bathroom, and staff always courteous, supportive, and helpful. Highly satisfy with the service. Like to visit it again.

Nice, clean and staff were very nice ! Location was great. Totally worth it. But no breakfast was included ;( But Starbucks 1 block away

We recently stayed at the hotel for a 4 night stay. Our room was quite tiny (we had a corner room) and difficult to navigate through tight aisle spaces, especially with 2 people walking past each other. My biggest issue with the room was it was right next to the elevators and the ice machine....very noisy in the room when either were being used!!!! The location of the hotel is very central making it easy to get around to many different neighborhoods of the city.

Great hotel, everything about it was excellent - location, staff and quality/comfort of room. The only downside is the wifi - unusable at peak times which was frustrating.

Clean and modern, this hotel was perfectly functional and predictable. Staff were consistently friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was good. This is a large hotel with A LOT of guests so the elevators were always slow, but as I was on vacation, I was never in a big rush. The location was central with the subway nearby and trolley at the corner. Just wish there were some interesting cocktail bars nearby or live music within walking distance. The hotel bar was more business people than anything else. Otherwise, a nice stay.

We came for my birthday/Caribana/Drake concert. The Queen bed seems smaller than other queen beds I've slept in & there was a rather significant dip in the middle of the bed. So I can't say we had a very good sleep. I asked for a King bed but they didn't have any available. The temperature in the room basically went from freezing to muggy. The rooms are small. When we checked in the front desk clerk said there would be police in the lobby during the weekend we stayed-I thought that was odd. I don't know if they usually have police around on busy weekends or what, but it's not something that I'm used to in hotels. I don't think the area was bad so I'm not totally sure why there needed to be armed police in the lobby and in front of the hotel. The staff was nice-the welcome cookies were a delight. The hotel is centrally located and a quick walk to just about all of the downtown sites. Great little mini mart downstairs. Would probably recommend for brief stays.

Very comfortable hotel within walking distance of the main attractions, shopping, public transportation. Nothing fancy but recommended.

The staff was extremely helpful , they were very friendly .

Very convenient, good breakfast, good location. Cabs always waiting on the curb by the enterence

Arrrived mid-morning and was able to park and check in. Walked to Chinatown, university of Toronto, Youge street....all was so very convenient. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

We walked to it from the train station, easy to get to. Very central to downtown. The staff was exceptional and very helpful. Great value for the money.

Very good experience in Double Tree by Hilton Totonto. Service like 5 star hotel.

Great place to stay, especially if you are in Toronto for a baseball game
