I flew into Pearson Airport (code YYZ) in Toronto to board a cruise, and I needed a hotel room for one night. This hotel is near the airport, has a 24-hour shuttle, and has been very nice. The large suite allows me to do some work (such as write this review), watch the U.S. Open Golf Tournament on the large T.V., and it has a full kitchen in case I were staying longer. I enjoyed the hearty complimentary breakfast this morning, and the staff have all been very friendly and helpful. It's a shame I can't stay for longer, but I'm also excited to be joining an amazing cruise.
Great staff. Great breakfast. Pet-friendly. Well equipped kitchen. Internet and power at the kitchen table. Comfy couch and huge walk-in shower. Price on small snack items at convenience store levels. I could move in and live happily. Special thanks to Frey and Elny for their warm and careful attention to my extreme Celiac sensitivities.
I stayed here for 2 nights as I was attending a trade show at Toronto Congress center, which was walking distance from this hotel. Slightly older structure, rooms were not bad, good bed, so sleep quality was good. Breakfast was elaborate, staff very nice. Offers free shuttle to & from the airport, which was great. I enjoyed my stay here..
While the lobby has been updated, rooms are starting to show their age. However the rooms were very clean & staff was great. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. I was impressed with housekeeping staff in particular.
Typically the Residence Inn brand is Marriott's is not known for higher end finishes but this site is an upgrade from the typical generic finishes found at other sites in this brand. Appreciated the upgraded bathroom finishes and televisions. The breakfast buffet was average but good enough when included. Always a dependable stay whenever using Marriott.
We stayed for a hockey tournament. The breakfast was excellent. the food was fresh, hot and tasty. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Very good value for the price. They put up with our hockey team which was I'm sure, a tough one for them.
The hotel is the usual Marriott with courteous and helpful staff. The young chap that checked us in that night was exceptionally friendly and funny; he really made us feel welcome. Interestingly the lady that checked us out was also exceptional, she came to get us to ensure we didn't miss the shuttle. The room was clean in pretty good condition, the wallpaper is coming off in the bathroom though. The hotel has no on-site dining but options are within walking distance, and at least one of them did delivery to the hotel. The hotel also does grocery shopping for guests apparently, so although its not my style, I can't say finding food is a problem. My only complaints were that the pillows were hard and something about the bed caused my nose/throat to be irritated while sleeping. If I'm facing up I'm fine, but I sleep on a side. The ice maker is noisy but thankfully it rarely pushed out ice. When we finally discovered what was making the noise we saw that the ice tray was full, so that caused the ice to role down the pile into the freezer. The lady that cleaned was very pleasant and helped to support the overall all atmosphere of the hotel. Only because sleeping is important I would think twice about returning, but everything else honestly made up for that, so its still an option.
I hadn't been to this location in a while although I had beef to several other Residence Inns (which are really convenient for families) over the last couple of years. This one is top notch... clean well maintained room and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. You might think that all of the breakfasts are the same in chain hotels but actually the fact that this one was always hot, fresh and everything was full is really unusual and a nice surprise. The staff and management here seem to have it right.
We had a small group staying at this hotel before flying out to Punta Cana for a spring break trip. The hotel was super accommodating and we were very pleased with the service we received by everyone throughout our stay. Rooms were clean, quiet and well equipped, shuttles were on time, front desk was helpful and friendly, parking worked perfectly. They even offered our group grab and go breakfast bags because we were leaving so early. I would stay here again without hesitation.
We spend two nights here on local business. The general appearance of the hotel, including the rooms is in need of some serious updates. Upon entering the hotel there's only one sliding door and the second one requires manual opening, which is inconvenient when you have luggage and your arms full. The rooms are quite dated and in need of furniture updates. The bed itself was comfortable. The pool and hot tub was closed for repairs and this sounds like a good thing considering the previous review. We did book this hotel as we did want to use these facilities. They did send us to a neighboring hotel to use their pool when we inquired. The breakfast was quite good. We probably wouldn't stay here again.
