The hotel is the usual Marriott with courteous and helpful staff. The young chap that checked us in that night was exceptionally friendly and funny; he really made us feel welcome. Interestingly the lady that checked us out was also exceptional, she came to get us to ensure we didn't miss the shuttle. The room was clean in pretty good condition, the wallpaper is coming off in the bathroom though. The hotel has no on-site dining but options are within walking distance, and at least one of them did delivery to the hotel. The hotel also does grocery shopping for guests apparently, so although its not my style, I can't say finding food is a problem. My only complaints were that the pillows were hard and something about the bed caused my nose/throat to be irritated while sleeping. If I'm facing up I'm fine, but I sleep on a side. The ice maker is noisy but thankfully it rarely pushed out ice. When we finally discovered what was making the noise we saw that the ice tray was full, so that caused the ice to role down the pile into the freezer. The lady that cleaned was very pleasant and helped to support the overall all atmosphere of the hotel. Only because sleeping is important I would think twice about returning, but everything else honestly made up for that, so its still an option.
I hadn't been to this location in a while although I had beef to several other Residence Inns (which are really convenient for families) over the last couple of years. This one is top notch... clean well maintained room and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. You might think that all of the breakfasts are the same in chain hotels but actually the fact that this one was always hot, fresh and everything was full is really unusual and a nice surprise. The staff and management here seem to have it right.
We had a small group staying at this hotel before flying out to Punta Cana for a spring break trip. The hotel was super accommodating and we were very pleased with the service we received by everyone throughout our stay. Rooms were clean, quiet and well equipped, shuttles were on time, front desk was helpful and friendly, parking worked perfectly. They even offered our group grab and go breakfast bags because we were leaving so early. I would stay here again without hesitation.
We spend two nights here on local business. The general appearance of the hotel, including the rooms is in need of some serious updates. Upon entering the hotel there's only one sliding door and the second one requires manual opening, which is inconvenient when you have luggage and your arms full. The rooms are quite dated and in need of furniture updates. The bed itself was comfortable. The pool and hot tub was closed for repairs and this sounds like a good thing considering the previous review. We did book this hotel as we did want to use these facilities. They did send us to a neighboring hotel to use their pool when we inquired. The breakfast was quite good. We probably wouldn't stay here again.
We stayed for 4 nights for a hockey tournament. The rooms were great, the breakfast was exceptional. The pool gave 17 of the children in our group rashes. We approached the front desk staff and they brushed us off stating that some of the other hotel guests didn't seem to be having a problem. 3 of our children required doctor treatment. 1 required oral steroids, 2 required prescription topical cream and all 3 doctors diagnosed the cause as contaminated pool water. The hotel has still not addressed our concerns (4 days later). The pool rashes occurred on day 2 of our stay. We were promised that someone from management would come and address our concerns the next day. It never happened. Now hotel management still brushes us off. Many phone calls have been made. Not attempt has been made to address this situation. The health of our children (5 year olds) does not seem to concern them. All other aspects of our stay was exceptional. However, we will never return to this hotel.
Having arrived in Toronto after a 16 hour flight, this proved to be an excellent hotel to recharge our batteries before heading off on our trip. Airport shuttle worked well and check in service was helpful and efficient. Staff were both efficient and pleasant.
We stayed here when leaving from Toronto to go to Ixtapa and then returning to Toronto and wanted a spot where we could leave our car. The first night was spent in a lovely two bedroom suite with a fireplace which was great after our drive from Ottawa. The staff were wonderful and made sure that our shuttle to the airport was ready for us. Our return was not as great as the flight was very late ie we arrived at 2am and because my luggage was taken by someone else, we did not leave the airport until almost 4 am. It was cold and I had to call three times to the hotel to arrange the shuttle. It took a very long time ( almost 45-55 minutes) which meant that we were frozen by the time it arrived. Needless to say our sleeping time was limited although the gal checking us in let us check out an hour later and did not bill the full price. The one bedroom is not as nice as the two - no fireplace. I ended up Becoming ill and had to endure our drive home so the return experience was not great, partly due to the hotel's lack of responsiveness when arranging the shuttle. Aside from that the staff were again very good. The only other issue was that there is no food available except for the breakfast which was 7-9 am. But it is a residence hotel Overall, I would highly recommend it and would use it again.
I stayed here on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff are very pleasant and the service is good. Although the hotel does look a little dated, my room was large and spacious, with a separate bathroom and washroom, plus a separate sitting room. I also had a nice kitchen area. Being close to the highway and the airport, I was expecting the place to be noisy but my room was very quiet. My only real complaint would be the heating/aircon which although effective, was very loud.
Great stay before catching flight. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. Service at front desk was quick and friendly. Shuttle to and from airport was great. Breakfast was open before 6:00 with lots of choices for all tastes. Would definetly go back.
Due to weather we missed our connection and stranded in Toronto. Booked two nights on points. The first morning I took shuttle to airport to try to go standby on flight. Able to get on. My wife and kids needed to quickly meet me at airport. The staff and shuttle driver were incredibly helpful coordinating shuttle with my wife who was packing in room. Staff helped load all luggage (multiple suitcases & car seats) onto cart, brought down and quickly/safely got them to meet me at airport with ongoing communication. The hotel was fine but the staff, particularly Krista at front desk, is why we so highly recommend as everyone was most helpful and accommodating. Such wonderful service should be celebrated. Also refunded unused 2nd night points.
