Due to the sudden passing of a family member, we had to return to the U.S. immediately. The front desk guaranteed a refund for the second night at checkout, yet the hotel never honored it. Both we and Orbitz made multiple attempts to contact hotel management by phone and email — no response. As a Platinum member for many years, I have never experienced such a lack of follow-through or basic accountability. Deeply disappointing.

The Pacific was always a great option for staying in Toronto but it has sharply declined in quality. 3 big problems arose this trip. 1. The water in the bathroom only arrived at 1 temperature, boiling hot. Making showers and getting ready difficult and impossible to drink water. A ticket was issued after the first night of have it fixed and nothing changed. 2. The rooms AC doesn’t work. The loud fan would run constantly but never cool the room down. It was too hot to sleep. 3. Finally there was blood on the shower curtain and the pillows bunched into balls of filling. Over all this was a terrible experience followed up but a lacklustre response by the duty manger. It’s too bad this used to be such a good hotel option.
