The property location is beautiful located by the creek overlooking the red rocks.

Expensive tiny rooms and I didn’t love the checkin process

nice hotel and great view close to town would use again on our next trip to Sedona

Large suite, spectacular view at dinner, great location, dog very friendly.

awesome hotel and staff. great location in town. only negative is the walk up the hill to town, it's short but a bit steep. although it does give you a chance to burn off some vacation calories ;-)

originally booked for just one night but loved it so much and decided to extend my stay. definitely take advantage of the free yoga class if possible!

The "spa" hotel is so full of chemical/perfume it almost sent me to the hospital. The rooms are funky and shower very difficult to use. There is NOTHING spa like about the rooms. I had to depart early am to save myself. NIGHMARE! I must say the staff were all so friendly and kind. Julie Moore

Loved the hotel location. It is walking distance to downtown Sedona shops and restaurants. The hotel also offers free shuttle rides to anywhere within 1 mile from the hotel. Valet parking is free. The rooms were comfortable as well. I liked how they had a water dispenser in the lobby and by the pool- because I always felt parched from the dry heat. I also liked the happy hour when they served prickly pear juice and wine. Cons- I wish the pool was bigger and actually heated as they advertised. The views around the hotel are also hidden by the trees because you are lower down by the creek.

As soon I drove up I was greeted & welcomed by the valet. These guys were the best! They were quick, efficient and so helpful! Always there to great you when you came back! The waiters & waitresses were also very friendly & helpful. Offered suggestions & answered questions. Room was always cleaned promptly. The concierges were nice but compared to the other staff I was a bit disappointed. The pool area is nice, fills up quickly! They are pet friendly - but that also meant a few evenings of barking dogs, which was a little irritating. Overall, I would return in a heartbeat, beautiful views, close to shopping, restaurants and everything you need!

To start with the good. The view was second to none, from the patio area. Our first room overlooked a generator, and smelled. Asked to change. 2nd room (which we were charged more) was great except that the carpets were all wet with some brown liquid. Asked to change again. Moved next door. This was ok. Looks like they threw a coat of paint on it and called it a day. Areas of room very dusty, including HVAC vents. Also sounded like a jet engine when it went on. Depending on what day it was room was cleaned well, sometimes not. Food in restaurant was great but: a. Very overpriced b. No kids menu c. Closes at 9 p.m. on the dot! So does rest of the town, apparently. When I ordered food at 903 was told kitchen was closed. After some arguing, kitchen re-opened as if they were doing me (and several other patrons) a favor! My favorite surprise came upon checkout, when I received my incidental bill. I had no problem with it, except: 1) Was charged additional $ per day because we had to change our room 2x. 2) Had to pay what are called "resort fees" for valet parking (which you have no choice, there is nowhere to park) and the shuttle bus (which takes you to the top of this heart attack hill) I assumed this was part of the cost of the room which we paid mucho money for 6 nights. I was tipping the guys every time they got my car because I felt bad only to find out they already get paid. This was not told to us when we checked in.

The hotel is at the bottom of a hill but has complimentary valet. The valet guys were so friendly and super fast. Our room had absolutely no view but the inside rooms (facing the pool) have amazing views. The restaurant is fantastic. Great food and sitting outside was a perfect way to end the day. Seats around the fire pit too. The pool was relaxing. Drink service. Towels provided. The cable was not working in our room but otherwise, the room felt like home. A nice patio on each room too. The employees were all really nice. We would stay here again!

I would definitely will stay here again! Good location and excellent customer service.

Staff is excellent. We were thoroughly impressed with the valet, check-in, concierge and housekeeping. Shuttle service within 1 mile radius is great and needed for those who want to avoid the uphill and downhill walks to the hotel entrance. I was disappointed with the unfortable beds, poorly lit hallways, and the insuffiencent outdoor casual seating. The Pool and in room Bathrooms were smaller than expected. Last, Amara didnt have discounts to surrounding restaurants available whereas others do (per staff at restaurants I spoke with).

Beautiful setting....wonderful location ....staff was friendly and welcoming I will definitely return to this hotel.

Nice lobby - good restaurant - complimentary wine in lobby at 5pm - decent room (although washrooms are tired) good valet service - good yoga class but small room. Great pool and inner courtyard

We really enjoyed staying at the Amara. I liked the free yoga classes, free shuttle within a mile from the resort, and coffee/tea time. The resort was beautiful. We got a free upgrade and they were very welcoming when we arrived. All of the staff were very nice and they had great food at their restaurant.
