Located in a beautiful cottage like setting. Very relaxing with a comfortable area to sit and enjoy the scenery especially sunrise and sunset. Great access to all the main attractions

The views from the wedding patio of sunset are outstanding and the stargazing is incredible.

The hotel is older, is renovated so very nice & clean. The views from the wedding patio are outstanding for sunset. My only comment for improvement would be better wi-fi coverage.

View's were unbelievable.... Beds very nice and room super clean. The spa was not working while we were there, bathroom toilet kinda shaky but overall nice.

Lovely grounds. Great location by hiking trails & amazing views. Restaurant was a 2 minute walk.

Dated motel style rooms. Had a decent view on the second floor.

Upgraded for to a room w full view of red rocks and a fireplace! Bliss.

The room is, simple large and clean. The view from the garden was great for the sunset over Sedona. The pool is ok.

The Sky Ranch is a great and relaxing place, very well run and very comfortable. The bonus is that it's 2 minutes walking distance to the airport's excellent restaurant and to the scenic overlook of Sedona; the perfect vantage point for sunsets.

The rest of the story (as Paul Harvey would say) is that the website photos promote a view which you may not have access to - at least from hotel grounds. I envisioned drinking coffee and enjoying the incredible view - just as shown on the website. Alas, the gate leading to that wonderful view was locked all but one of the days during our stay. On that day (Thurs.) the gate was unlocked in preparation for a special event. We were advised at 9:00 AM that we have to leave within the hour for wedding prep. Perhaps there are early morning weddings. Posted restrictions advised that area was reserved for special events. The word Spartan comes to mind when viewing the room with a "partial view". Ah yes, between the tree limbs one had a partial view of Thunder Mountain. Two small to medium sized drawers hardly seems adequate for a couple staying awhile. I suspect the sole business plan is to cater to wedding guests for a single overnight. They'll have access to the view during the event. Two upright grated chairs are situated with a table. There is a bed. Wifi is really slow and frequently overwhelmed with such complex tasks as banking. The size/shape of the "garden" reminds me of a miniature golf course. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and courteous. The restaurant at the nearby airport was actually decent. A kale quinoa salad was fabulous. Location is adjacent to a trailhead. A short jaunt with put you on top of a rock formation with a 360 view - breathtaking.

Beautiful grounds and views. Rooms mostly in good condition but could use some updates. Nice pool and hottub.

We stayed here on our way making a loop to Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion Nat'l Park, and the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon. This was my favorite place of all the places we stayed over a week's time. Comfortable room/bed. Great view too!

Excellent place. Very pretty grounds. Room very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Rooms were very clean and comfortable to stay in. Loved the free wifi.

We stayed on a week night on a road trip of America. We were greeted by a hostess after about a 10 minute wait. She appeared to be about 15 years old but was efficient and cheerful. Our hotel room key was still the metal kind you put on a key chain and we had to drive around to our motel room (bungalow?) around the back closest to the airport next door. Our roll away bed was delivered to our room while we searched for a late night dinner. First thing we noticed was a newspaper sitting on the table but when I picked it up, I noticed that it was a week old. My first thought was the room was not cleaned from the prior occupant and though the carpet did not feel clean, the room appeared to be in OK un-updated condition. I don't remember seeing a TV in the room but the wifi worked pretty well. The room had a front and back door and I was fine with the retro/low tech security. During our one night stay, we did not hear the planes taking off or landing so not an issue in my opinion. There is no free breakfast and while it's a negative, it does force you to explore Sedona in search of some excellent breakfast food. The negative reviews could be from competing hotels or people unfortunate enough to have their stay coincide with a wedding party which almost always happens on a weekend. I did not hear my neighbors and nobody complained about my 3 kids arguing so it worked well for us and satisfied our needs. We would have wanted to stay an extra night to explore Sedona.

Long winding drive up, but the view was worth it.. Nice secluded place with pretty flowers

The limited check-in time was a little concerning, but we made it before they closed.

It was a great location which provided a great private lookout to view the sunrise and subset

This was a great little escape. The room was a little pricy but not compared to other Sedona hotels. It is a little older and more of a motel style. Staff was great and very nice! Would stay again!!!

We were there only one day, but the time we were there was nice. Located on a hillside with great views of the red rocks within walking distance. The lodge units were set up where there were court yards in between that were nicely landscaped.

This is our second stay at Sky Ranch. We stay for the view and the affordability! The rooms are nice and clean but dated... but who stays in the room when you are in Sedona?! There is a private viewing veranda for the hotel. Everyone else in town drives up to this point and crams in an adjacent area. We sit out with a glass of wine and snacks and enjoy the view without the crowds. It is PERFECT!! When you get sick of the view there, walk down to the airport (about 2 minute walk) and sit out by the fire and watch that view. We will go back. Affordable, great location, and friendly!
