Customer Service at the front desk

It’s my second time in this hotel. First time back in 2018 everything was just excellent. This time there were few major complaints. One of them is related to room cleanliness. It was obvious that the room was not cleaned very well after previous guests: hairs in the shower area, small pieces of food under the table. Nothing major, but still not something you would expect from InterContinental. Second issue was about dining. Their restaurants were fully booked during memorial weekend, thus we decided to dine in the room, they advertise this option a lot throughout the hotel. Called a number and were said that they do not take orders and do not deliver food to the room due to COVID. To dine in the room, we need to go to the restaurant, wait in the line, do the to-go order, wait till it is ready and take it to the room. Not sure what is the logic here and how it helps with COVID, but it was a major inconvenience. Third thing was about multiple non-working options on their TV’s interactive menu. They have lot’s of controls there, e.g. to reserve a restaurant, order drinks, check out, etc. but nothing worked when I tried to use them - some error message was shown. Maybe it was an issue with my TV only, not sure.

The room was not what I expected. I selected a premium water view and expected to have the water view front and center instead it was to my far left. I wouldn’t have paid extra to only see the water from the side. Additionally, we have no control over the air conditioner. I had to call to have it turned on or the ability to adjust it. In the middle of the night it got warm again and I did not feel like calling again to adjust the temperature. We shouldn’t have to ask to change the temperature!

The staff was actually really great and catered to all our requests, really set the bar high for other hotels

The location was excellent and service was great too

Several issues came up with our room (wet carpet, non-functioning mini-fridge, no sheets for sofa bed), however all issues were resolved promptly and all staff members were very friendly, apologetic, and professional. Nevertheless, the north-facing suite was incredible and the view was stunning. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel as a whole was great, staff with the exception of one person was awesome very polite and willing to assist where needed. In room late night dining was horrible with service and very expensive. First night we ordered food and it never showed up I finally called an hour later and canceled. Second time I made sure to call after 30 minutes and was told it was on the way up 45 minutes later it arrived and the order wasn’t correct.

I love the vibe and the setting it was a very nice hotel !

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very helpful and nice. The view from the lobby was amazing!

The property was clean. Staff was accommodating.

Thank you for taking the time to write this detailed review and providing us with valuable feedback about your stay. Please accept my sincere apologies for the cleanliness issue you discovered in your room. I will personally review this with our Housekeeping and make sure they understand the importance of cleaning the rooms thoroughly. Unfortunately we have limited some of our hours and services because of the COVID Pandemic but we are starting to bring back some but we certainly aren't complete yet. I will have our IT Team make sure our systems are working and ask our team to check all the rooms as we clean or conduct maintenance to ensure systems are working properly. Once again my sincere apologies but thank you for allowing us to learn from your experience. We hope we have another opportunity to serve you in the future.
