stayed here for 4 weeks in AUGUST 2019. they don't make up beds daily, they don't give fresh towels daily as you must ask daily. rooms not the cleanest by a long shot, furniture was old scratched up and needed dusted badly. Breakfast was late lost mornings but was good even though they didn't always have what was on menu. lobby an library was far from clean. location was good, the surroundings of neighborhood is also good, if going to sea world and obviously kid friendly as kids are all over the lobby an eating area, but as far as quality for business stay I'd say no, i have recommended to company change locations as again for a family stay probably ok, business stay NO. car spaces are so small that my car got a dent and a paint chip down to metal from car next to it, that really upset me, as i take pride in my things and had to pay to get it fixed so for that alone I'd never stay again.
This hotel was great for all of our needs. We were about 20 minutes from base. Great pool, laundry room 4 washers and dryers and a great breakfast that they do put it out sooner if you ask. Very accommodating, would definately stay here again.
Fantastic hotel. Since there were six of us we stayed in a two bedroom/ two bathroom suite. It was great also having a living area and small kitchen (with large refrigerator, two burner stove, and dishwasher, plus dishes, glasses, silverware and pots). We had a convenient free shuttle to and from Sea World which worked out very well as we didn't all stay there the same amount of time. There was a nice outdoor pool that we enjoyed and they had pool towels available whenever we needed them. Their breakfast had hot food and great variety. Also, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening they had mini-meals (wings, burgers, and such on different nights) plus salad and drinks (sodas, beer, and wine) all included at no additional cost. Housekeeping was wonderful, servicing the room when needed as well as providing additional needs promptly when requested. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
I traveled to San Antonio to watch my son graduate Air Force basic training at Lackland AFB. I chose this hotel because of the great experiences I have consistently had at Staybridges in the past. However, I was sorely disappointed in my stay at this particular hotel. I am usually greeted as a platinum member when I check in and I barely got any greeting at all. I became worried as soon as I saw the dirty carpeting in the common areas and hallways of the hotel on the way to my room. I was further disappointed when I entered my room. It smelled of mildew and the furnishing were very worn out. I didn't pack shampoo because of flying in and I have never had a problem with toiletries at the Staybridge chain. As it turned out the shampoo and body washes in my shower hadn't been filled for a while as they were empty after the first shower. The kitchen sink hadn't been cleaned in a while. So long, in fact that there was black mold growing around the drain. The beds are probably fairly old because they do not sleep as well as any other Staybridge I have been to. The furniture all felt damp as well. The outdoor areas are kept in very poor shape as well. There is litter and mildew everywhere. The whole place has a feel that there is not much effort put into maintaining it. There were a lot more small problems such as no coffee early in the mornings. I really wish I had booked somewhere else. It has severely damaged my opinion of the IHG hotel group and the Staybridge chain.
The hotel itself and room especially had a stale sour stench. Not all lights work in the room and the tub showed a little rust. The bed is so hard it feels like you are sleeping on concrete. The staff was friendly and there are grills to use which are positives. I’ve stayed at much nicer hotels for the same price.
Manager sent and email to me about my future stay. I responded by asking for a room on the first floor near the gym. My room is on the third floor about as far as you can get from the gym. The email stated the room would be ready by 4:00 pm. We checked in at 5:30 and our room wasn't ready but they did quickly provide us an alternate room. The room was missing a desk chair. For some strange reason, they decided to paint the lobby and other areas during the opening weekend of Seaward.
Original reservation was nearby with Hilton Hill Country Resort to attend a conference. However, they overbooked the group and my reservation was relocated to Stonebridge. Upon arriving, there was no place to pull to the front for convenient check in. Parking lot is not very large, crowded, and I had to park at the rear of the building and carry my bags to the front. Very small lobby and check in desk (a la Motel 6). Elevator area was being prepared for painting (paper-covered flooring, tape, workers in the was of cramped area). No “excuse our appearance” explanation from the front desk or signage. There were several large obvious carpet stains (ugh!), rather uncomfortable bed, rough towels, poorly Kaye’s our breakfast in the morning (where’s the napkins?). Very big let down. I guess if you had a family needing extra room, this Seaworld-area would work.
I’m on the road for work often and most of my trips involve long term stays. In 10 years of being on the road, I have never met a staff that would absolutely go out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable. Lisa at the front desk and Mannie as the house man are kindest hotel staff I have ever met. Not only did they provide excellent service during my 7 week stay, they also provided trumendous friendship and kindness. This hotel has the best staff I’ve ever experienced.
Here for some training and stayed at the Staybridge for 6 weeks. They give a pretty good breakfast along with coffee all day and night. My room was basically a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen minus an oven. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the hotel provides dinner and free beer and wine. The staff was amazing and I will absolutely return!
Stayed here for our sons surgery 1st night in our room it's like that hardly cleaned felt the need to go to HEB and get some cleaning supplies then our AC went out yes it was dec but that's how we sleep Maintence came the next morning and they changed to another room which was ok since something was wrong with it but during breakfast time we barely made it to downstairs and while i told the lady that we were made to change it didn't faze her any and kept picking up the food 4th night we requested for housing to come which never did so we didn't get clean up service As far as what other staybridge suites that we've stayed at was not impressed with this location
