Had a wonderful stay!! We will be coming back. Clean rooms and great staff.

Perfect centralized location. Walking distance to many things. The free breakfast snd dinners, with cocktails, was a great money saver. Not gourmet food but what do you expect it was COMPLIMENTARY!!! Great stay.

Stayed here for one with with extended family. We booked the hotel since it was reasonably priced and was right on the river walk. What we didn't know and was the best feature was their 5:30 to 7:00 KICKBACK time- aka happy hour - with free food and drinks. This worked out the best for us as we were able to then have a late dinner beating the Friday night rush and had a very comfortable and relaxing time at the walk. Do have to mention that the room didn't have shower curtains - had to ask room service for it which was then quickly installed Great hotel, great location at a great price!

The Hotel is a beautiful landmark building just moments from the river walk. The staff are very friendlyand helpfull. The free breakfast and happy hour are nice as well. I would definitely recommend staying here.

First of all, the location is great. In the past, we stayed on the Riverwalk in a hotel further east, toward the middle of the "horseshoe", like the Hyatt or a Marriott. Turns out, the Drury Plaza is a much better location, now that the Riverwalk goes so far north and south. From this location, it's a reasonable walk to the new Pearl area, or Southtown, or museums, the Alamo, La Villita, or the Mexican Market (all our must-do's). Second, the staff try VERY HARD to satisfy you. From Annette, the bartender at the 5:30pm cocktail hour who will size you up and custom design a cocktail just for you, to the desk clerk who took us to a hidden closet so we could pick out just the right size cardboard box to send home the Fiesta paraphernalia that we bought, to the manager who volunteered to go into the kitchen during a busy Happy Hour to check on the ingredients of the soup on the free food bar. The valet car guys were quick and friendly. The "oversized" suite we stayed in, for the price of a regular room at the Hyatt or Hilton, was huge, and came with many features we appreciated, like black-out curtains that really worked, 4 bath towels in the bathroom, and a large refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen. The room cleaners were generally good; once, we didn't get all 4 towels back; they never cleaned the soap dish on the counter; a sheet with a bloody smudge wasn't changed for a few days. Mostly, they did a fine job. Great views!

This was a great hotel. Highly recommend it. The hotel was right on the river walk and we got a terrace view facing the cathedral. There was a light show we were able to enjoy from our terrace. It was awesome!

Love love love this hotel this was my second time to stay here and it was just as good as the first time. Stayed on my birthday and they gave me some snack and a bottle of wine. Everyone is very nice and waits on you hand and foot it felt good to have to just sit and not do anything I don't get to do that very often. Thanks dury plaza hotel for a wonderful stay.

The staff was incredibly friendly. They also offer a great free breakfast and happy hour snacks and cocktails with your stay. The room was really nice and comfortable. However, the doors to the rooms are very thin and light, which makes them terrible at blocking out noise. I was near the elevators and I could hear them all night. I could also hear the staff in the morning on their walkie-talkies. Also, there was only one light switch in the bathroom that turned on all four lights in there. So in the middle of the night, you either had to use it in the complete darkness or blind yourself with the lights. I would definitely recommending at a nightlight in the bathrooms.

Great hote, friendly staff, nice location right on the riverwalk and walking distance to The Alamo, The Market, and the Cathedral. There is free hot breakfast and a "kickback" with hot snacks and up to 3 free alcoholic drinks every evening too. We stayed with an infant and getting a crib wasn't a problem, just make sure to request it when you book. We would stay here again. I recommend requesting the Cathedral View.

We loved the hotel and the staff...very cordial, informative, and friendly. We loved being able to walk out to the Riverwalk and was an easy walk to the Alamo something we didn't expect. Unfortunately 2 days were a lot colder than we expected and had not prepared for the colder temperatures but we understood it happens....great place to visit but you really need more than 3 days...so much to enjoy and see...great place to relax and take your time looking at all the sights etc. We did not do the riverboat tour as it was cold and didn't want to subject ourselves to that but spring or summer I think it would have been wonderful to do....it takes a lot of time to walk the entire Riverwalk and we just couldn't do it all in the time we had...definitely want to come back and would stay at the Druery again! The hotel offered a hot breakfast and the late afternoon drinks and food was a nice added benefit.

Drury Traffic noise was awful on the eighth floor. Got food poisoning from the free evening buffet - spent early morning hours hugging the ( admittedly nice and clean ) toilet.

We had a good time but the hotel amenities were not as good, as we expected, compared to another Drury hotel we were in. Sylvia who checked us in was a little curt, not very friendly. Breakfast was not at par. I overheard the guy server (chef?) said that there were too many guest so he can't cook someone's request. So unlike Embassy hotel where they cook your eggs to your liking and they have more choices. Even their happy hour wasn't so great except maybe the drinks because the lady bar tender was so accomodating.

Very nice stay. Beautiful lobby but very cold-not somewhere to sit and relax. Hotel is in a convenient location an easily accessible. Room large and comfortable. Despite being right next to the elevators it was very quiet. Amazing happy hour! I'll stay here again.

Excellent value with free breakfast and happy hour.

Because we had heard so many good things about San Antonio we decided to spend a week there and see for ourselves. We were not disappointed. San Antonio is a beautiful city with tons of very nice and friendly people. We enjoyed learning about the history of the area and seeing all the great sites. We thoroughly enjoyed out time there and would recommend San Antonio to anyone looking for a great vacation.

Nice location. Very good service. Only disappointment was we asked for a Cathedral view and they said we already had it but we didn't.

Compared to the price of the "premium" hotels located on the Riverwalk, this was an amazing find. We originally chose it because it allowed our 72 pound golden retriever to stay, but were amazed at everything - the architecture, the huge beautiful room and the wonderful breakfast buffet and afternoon hors d'ouerves.

This was our 1st time at a Drury Inn and we will be looking forward to staying again. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Also the shower was nicely done! The pools were very clean and well kept, and the rooftop pool had a beautiful view at night. The staff was very friendly, even when you ran into them in the hall or elevator. The breakfast was very good and go was the kickback time, which we didn't know about until arriving. It was great being able to walk to The Alamo and we could go onto the Riverwalk right from the hotel. Also walking distance to the Market Square. We never took out our car. We will look for the Drury Inn on all future trips!

Place smells like moldy socks and cigarette smoke combined. We even gave it the benefit of the doubt and switched rooms and the second room smelled worse than the first. we cancelled our room and went to the Marriott down the street. I will say that the staff was friendly and did try to accommodate, they gave us a refund due to our dissatisfaction.

Great location on the RiverWalk! Has a full breakfast every morning which is hard to find. Also has a daily snacks and drinks from 5:30pm - 7pm! Each adult can receive 3 cocktails per night! Staff was great and will definitely stay there again!
