Great resort, staff, hill country views, pools, amenities, location...

I always try to stay here if I can get it at discounted price. Just double check bill at checkout because they sometimes forget to apply savings to food and drinks. Great pool area with separate adult pool, and excellent views. Only other gripe is lack of carts to bring you back from self parking which is far from lobby.

The manager on duty at the hotel was the most experienced personnel I've ever come to know at a hotel property. She was accommodating, professional, empathetic, and well versed. She could have easily been hired at an upper management level position for any Mandarían Oriental, One and Only, or Four Seasons hotel across the globe due to her precise methodology of executing perfection in the customer interaction realm. I will most definitely be staying here over and over, as this property is the paramount in customer service in San Antonio.

Found a caterpillar crawling in our room. Outlet was falling out of the wall, ac filter vent on wall was doing the same as well. Scratched up furniture and whole room just looked worn out.

Is a nice hotel, located on the new area, closer to the Mall and restaurants.

This hotel is very nice. Our plan was to go to six flags fiesta tx and could not have asked for a better location. Six flags was just a 1 minute car ride literally. Very elegant clean and very nice staff will stay here again in future.

Beautiful location, great staff, wonderful golf course

La Cantera is a very nice play to stay. It is situated on a hill on the outskirts of San Antonio. I have stayed here over 10 times, I always enjoy it. Beauty, golf, spa, and very good restaurants. Shopping and Fiesta Texas Park is close by.

The property is absolutely beautiful. My only criticism is that the dining options on the property are a little limited, but there's plenty to do nearby.

Beautiful hotel located in the hill country of San Antonio. The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly. My wife and I also played golf at the resort course and the Palmer course. Both are very beautiful and we would definitely recommend them. We enjoyed the Palmer course a little more because it is a little more secluded and not as crowded. Overall we had an awesome experience and look forward to doing it again.

We wen to San Antonio because is a small city,I like the hotel but I thought for the cost shoud be better

This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is excellent. It is great place for families to get together because there is a lot to do, in the hotel and surrounding area. We weren't too thrilled with the food though. Neither Francesca's, nor Brennan's nor room service was really worth the price. It was all pretty tepid, not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel. Also, we booked and pre-paid months in advance, however, when we arrived, we didn't get the rooms we requested (one king, one double bed#. The hotel said because we booked thru a third party, our requests weren't honored.

Did a family stay at the La Cantera over the July 4th weekend. Was very satisfied with the family friendliness and staff! Pool, kids centers... They had it all. For us adults, there was a nice gym, golfing and spa as well. Hotel offers a lot of different shuttle services that take you to the mall, Six Flags and also within the resort as well. There was a bit of general noice that could be heard from the hallways from the rooms but nothing that stood out of the normal. Also, resort fee was a little run the higher side (29USD) but there are so many activities/amenitites provided so it was actually acceptable (in comparison, at some resorts/hotels you have to pay +20USD for a bottle of water and free WiFi)

My bride and I arrived late after our wedding. The valet told us congratulations and took our bags and parked our car at no charge. The concierge sent us wine and food to the room, also complementary. All of this happened after midnight and was completely unexpected. I highly recommend this resort as one of the top hotels in Texas. Thank you for the excellent time!

Excellent service and facility. My privacy sign and complementary bottled water were missing when I checked in.

I think you are paying for view and location. View from balcony was very nice but rooms are over priced. I think Adam at the service desk went above and beyond.

Hotel and staff are very nice - lots of activities, including hiking trails, several pools, spa, two golf courses, and great scenery. Resort is on the north side of San Antonio, about 25 minues to the riverwalk, and a great escape.

I had not been back to the area for over six years, but staying at this hotel made the experience wonderful. My only criticism was that the hamburger from the late night dining was not very good. However, room service was generally good and the staff was very helpful.

Wonderful hill country setting...Christmas decor, with a pinch of cowboy magic.

Massage, rooms, everything was great!
