Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk

Walked everywhere. Close to everything. Great restaurants. Friendly people. History abounds. We will be back.

The only negative experience was the fact that the pool was closed for repairs. It was. Dry hot while we were there and would have liked to spend an hour at the pool.

I live in Houston and I needed to visit San Antonio to compete in a golf tournament. My girlfriend used to live in San Antonio, and now takes every opportunity to visit, especially during Fiesta, so I had to take her with me. In planning for the trip, I had to make it convenient for her to entertain herself while I was at the golf tournament for 5 to 6 hours. I have stayed at several hotels in downtown San Antonio, but have always favored the Hyatt Regency on the Riverwalk. The hotel is only a block away from the Riverwalk Mall and the Alamo. The hotel lobby has a beautiful view of the Riverwalk, and two bars that serve great drinks, and without a doubt a great little ice cream and candy parlor. Given all these amenities and the comfortable rooms, picking the Hyatt Regency was a no-brainer. In fact, when I got back from tournament and for most of the weekend, my girlfriend was out and about.

Great location on the RiverWalk of San Antonio Tx. Access to all the restaurants and all historical and cultural activities.

Nice hotel. Convenient location. Only problem was the tv messed up but they automatically sent someone up to fix it. Very nice and friendly staff

We enjoyed it except the elevator being slow other than that we loved it and will being staying there again

Convenient to all things around the riverwalk. Rooms face toward each other not the riverwalk, difficult to open shades without neighbors looking at you. Beautiful inside this hotel with running water falls and walk out to the riverwalk one way and then to the Alamo in the other direction. Beds very comfortable and rooms reasonably quiet unless you have noisy neighbors that we had one night. Did not try any of the restaurants but did get ice cream on the lower level that was excellent and the kids seem to like things on the lower level. We bought tickets for the Christmas Riverwalk parade. We were told by the Hyatt they did not have seating when we called in advance but they did have reserved seating. We purchased seats elsewhere but absolutely this was so much fun, glad we had a room there because traffic was crazy. Sunday brunch at Las Canarias, pricey but it was very good, sat outside right on the river, so nice.Acenar Mexican restaurant excellent.

Great Hotel above the river walk in San Antonio Texas!!!

Traveling from out of town and interested in the downtown stay in the Riverwalk area. This hotel was perfect. In the heart of the romantic Riverwalk scene with restaurants, attraction, and activities. The XMAS holiday season has everything lit up in the festivities once the sun goes down. Alamo square has the most lights and XMAS decorations I have seen in years. The ability to walk out of the hotel room and into the fun was brilliant. The Hyatt had a terrific breakfast and lunch meal. I'm not one to commit the vacation to the "hotel experience", I'm there to explore.

It was great experience with Hyatt regency. Nice view and try to get river view room. Don't forget to ask swimming pool because pool was close this time.

Great staff, unfortunately my stay was interrupted during the night with incessantly loud noises coming from a malfunctioning air conditioning unit. I had to be moved to another room at 2:30am, however, Amber at the front desk was more than accommodating. She removed the valet charge from my bill and gave me complimentary breakfast, so all in all Amber restored my faith in the Hyatt chain.

The location of this hotel is great. It is right on the Riverwalk and close to so many good places to eat and shop. It is a five minute walk from the Alamo and close to other tourist destinations. The hotel was very clean, the room was so comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Antonio and would stay there again myself.

Very good. Good food and service. Close to everything.

Centrally located to all of the Major activities. Perfect for first time visitors to learn about San Antonio.

Close to everything, just steps from Alamo, spacious room, very friendly staff. Riverwalk is at the doorstep with a lot of restaurants. 5 out of 5 rating.

Perfect location for accessing the River walk and Alamo. No complaints!!

The room I rented for my daughter and I was just ok - not really worth the $255 I spent for just the night. We were supposed to have a river view and what the view was of the river going under the road below. The room was small with the bathroom especially small. Overall comfortable, but not quite what I would have expected for the amount of money spent. The wait staff were quite good and very friendly.
