Price from was good, need improvement walking shower, shower mat not provided, power failure staff for 4-6 hours staff were on hand to comfort guests. No fee repayment while the power was out or free hotel stay for 1 night in the future. Hotel charge $1.50 for safe use on each night stay had to call back to get reimbursement. Front desk not trained on computer use to give remibursements or take off charges. Overall would stay if unable to fing other accomdations.

We stayed here during the Final 4. The customer service was a 0 star. The outside looks much better than the rooms. They are not the cleanest. I moved our pullout couch to find crumbs that had probably been there for a while. Janet at the front desk could use a little more training on how to be friendly.

This stay was the worst ever!!! There was blood on the sheets and towels. There was shaved hair piled around the bathroom sink faucet. There was a musty odor to the room and to top it all off the lights went out in the room and the manager on staff that night didn't even want to let us change rooms, housekeeping had to step in and tell him to switch us to another room. It was just a horrible two nights!!!

Check in was fast and easy. The lady checking us in was very friendly and gave us all details for the hotel. The front desk gentleman was able to print our tickets out for us to the Zoo at no charge. The bed was amazing, very comfortable. The room was very clean and we didn't have to bother the front desk for anything. It really needs to have a bigger breakfast room, way to small for this hotel. My experience here was great! My family also enjoyed there stay here as well. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip.

Dirty rooms. Bed cover had stains and hair. Told the manager and all she did was give me a small blanket. Poor customer service by manager. Complimentary snacks in room were over 2 months expired.

Although the hotel presents nicely on the outside, the attention to details wasn’t there. Blood on the sheets and missing lock on the door, which didn’t make me feel secure. Barely any toilet paper left on the roll and there wasn’t an extra. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. We won’t stay again.

this hotel is convenient to where we wanted to go. the breakfast area is very small and didn't have very many options and on the 2nd day had even less options. some of the towels were still dirty and housekeeping did not come to our room to clean. kept hearing the people in the room above us walk around.

We were in San Antonio for my daughters graduation from AIT at Fort Sam Houston. Checking in the lady was great. The second day our room had been left un cleaned. I ask housekeeping who was in our hallway at 9:00PM if they could clean it. The one young lady got verbally abusive with me. She used the F word several times. I did not engage her. We went downstairs while the older lady cleaned our room. I tried to move hotels but nothing was available within our distance to FSH. I have filed a complaint and will also be reporting her further. She was very nasty in the way she came at me. She should not be working with the public.

I’ve stayed at Microtels before and was very pleased. If my experience at the San Antonio Microtel had been like the others, I wouldn’t have felt so uncomfortable and disgusted. First, I booked a suite and it was just a regular room divided down the middle with a counter and sink. I could have ignored their poor definition of a suite if it had been clean. The hallway leading to my room looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time. It was late at night, about 10:30 PM, so when I entered my room I needed to unpack, get a quick shower, and get my toddler ready to sleep. The floor of our room obviously hadn’t been vacuumed. Our beds had, thankfully been made, but it was all that had been done. The counter and sink needed wiped down, the fridge had old bits of food all over the top, and the bathtub didn’t drain properly and there was somebody else’s hair all over the drain. I complained in the morning, since my child was just ready for bed. The front desk heard my complaint and said they’d handle it. The breakfast bar was unkempt and I soon began to realise the place was understaffed. When I came in late that evening from visiting friends, my room still hadn’t been cleaned. My kid needed a bath and I wouldn’t give her a bath in a dirty tub, so I went down to the desk to complain. The lady at the desk told me that the cleaning crew was gone for the day and everything was locked up. I thought to myself, “You need to fire this cleaning crew.” She offered to clean my tub with a wash cloth and shampoo. This was the solution, even though I asked for another room. I’m guessing there wasn’t one available. She did wipe it down and I gave my kid a bath, but I impressed upon her that my room needed cleaned while I was out the next day. The next morning, I mentioned it to the lady behind the counter. She was very tidy and kept the breakfast bar well kept. However, she informed me that there was only one cleaner for the entirety of the three floor building working that day and she didn’t know if they’d get to our room. I told her it had’t been cleaned when we arrived, so it needed to be a priority. She said she’d do what she could. When we arrived back later that night, the hallway had finally been vacuumed and our room had been mostly cleaned. It was the last night of our stay and we felt much more relaxed knowing the previous guests’ nasty had finally been removed. I don’t know why in the world this was acceptable. I was a paying guest and my room was not ready.

The staff was nice. But the hotel itself is in terrible condition. We walked into our room and couldn’t get any of the lights to work. They flicker on and off. We over heard another guest saying in one of their rooms the AC went out. And there was something wrong with their other room. Then while taking a shower I noticed mold in the bathtub. The rooms are tiny, way smaller than they look in the photos. And we couldn’t switch rooms because they were fully booked.
