The room bathroom tub was very slow to drain making water stay in the tub overnight. The tub design is very poor, water gets all over the floor while showering. And water pressure was horrible. The power outlets on both sides of the bed did not work. The AC in the room was horrible too. The lowest we could set it for was 71 degrees F making it difficult to sleep at night. The staff and staff service was great everywhere throughout the resort. The concierge person Cesar was amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great. The place has great potential, just needs to be updated (all bathrooms and bedrooms)

We fell in love with this place ,not because is a wow resort ,it is nice place but because of the staff there.They are by far friendliest and nicest people we have seen in DR after so many trips.So helpful ,happy ,just interacting and smiling.Rafael at front desk went above and checked on us every day(no,we did not have privileged or premium )he made sure we have reservation and just was there from start to end(and i am a tough customer to please). We felt like family not just another customer..All staff is exceptional but of course Rafael was amazing so big Thank You Rafael !Girls at lobby:Denis ,Genesis ,There was couple more but unfortunately don't have their names.Angela -Spa, We spent a lot of times sitting at lobby with drinks and coffee and watched them.Majority of people did not tip at all ,but they still gave them same service and smiles.Just amazing people .From front desk to housekeeping ,servers,landscaping .Definitely they are the reason to come back. Thank you all beautiful souls for making our Holiday special.

Beautiful resort in a beautiful spot on the beach. Staff were all very friendly and Cesar at concierge was very helpful and made sure everything was great for us. We would definitely like to return at some point. Our room was the ocean front loft and was a fantastic place to sit and relax privately.

5/5 Exceptional Service and Memorable Stay Despite the Weather I travel frequently and have stayed at a wide variety of hotels around the world, but my experience at The Palace Hotel in the Dominican Republic was truly different — in the best way. From the moment I arrived, the staff impressed me with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Everyone was very helpful and polite, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I personally value the quality of service more than the facilities, and in this case, both were commendable. The infrastructure was in great condition, and I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The restaurants offered delicious, beautifully presented meals, and the dining experience was consistently enjoyable. A special mention goes to my personal concierge, César, who went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. His excellent communication and attentive service made my stay even more pleasant. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on my side during my visit — Storm Melissa brought rain almost every day. Still, the hotel staff did their best to make sure guests remained comfortable and entertained despite the conditions. The only downside of my stay was the time spent at the breakfast timeshare invitation. I’ve never been interested in timeshares, and I would have preferred not to spend part of my trip on that. This resort was amazing the room upgrade was also phenomenal. The only thing that I did not personally like was that we were promised an exclusive breakfast the morning after and we were really excited, only to be brought to the buffet and spoken about getting a timeshare. We received listened to the 40 minute time share presentation so we could get 2 comp spa passes but other than that everything was pretty amazing. Cesar was super attentive.
