The hotel complex is huge, but we were a short 5 minute walk to the beach and warm water, which is the biggest draw. The beach here is good while further down in either direction not as pleasing and one area has a foul smell. So location is great. Food was very good but I lack supreme epicurean tastes that some reviewers obviously have. The room was huge and clean with a jacuzzi that worked. The phone had a short in it and made calls to the front desk a challenge, as you had to unplug the phone and reconnect. The TV was good but the remote needed new batteries as I couldn't change channels or turn the thing off. The mini fridge was stocked with drinks but after day 1 we had to write a note to the maid to replenish. One day she forgot and we called the front desk for 2 large bottles of water - nobody ever came. So I agree with other reviewers that the customer service is spotty. When we checked in a guy came up to us and said if we needed anything just let him know. He then left us and nobody ever came to take our bags to the room. At dinner and breakfast the wait staff is slow to fill your coffee. It's kind of humorous in a way, as it is not a 5 star place, but pretty good for the money. I think it is a good value for the dollar. Swimming pools nice, some better than others and some swarming with kids. Stick to the beach if you can find a place under the shade umbrellas or trees. Great! My girlfriend got a massage on the beach and raved about it!

Basically, TV never worked, shower head was loose, got 2 pairs of shoes stolen AND two bottles of Henny White. Will never stay here again or reccomend this hotel. Food wasnt all that at all, really was kinda to just get us by. As for filing a report, they just have us a number to call because, really they did not seem to care as they should have. And we missed our flight because they took so long to "investigate".

Overall good experience. I stayed in a luxury junior suite. Only complaint is that the food was so so.

Hotel was overall a good place to stay. The food was very tasty and cooked well. The service was mixed. Upon checking in it took over 2 hours for them to prepare a room for us. The dining service was also very slow. It would take too long to get anything to drink and the servers would often ignore requests. The rooms however, were cleaned well by the maids and were done quickly. The phones in the room as well as the t.v. set were not working. I called the front desk to fix the problem and they arrived over 5 hours later. I was not able to communicate with others who traveled with me because the phones did not work. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff at the bars did a great job with the drinks. I would visit again if they could improve the service during dining as well as checking in.

Everything is so far away. Not enough carts and to get anyway you need at least 1/2 hour and you got lost. Worst food I ever had in any resort and I go twice in year on vacation different places. However staff was very nice. This resort definitely need more carts and not just for travel members but for everyone and definitely better food. Thank you

I enjoyed the whole trip but I really hated the customer service. It was soooo bad. I feel like they need more training in customer service. They were just not as helpful and always make us figure things out on our own. If we knew these things, then we wouldn't even ask them right? Also, the resort is so big that you need a shuttle to go around but the shuttle is not always available so you'll have to walk and it stops at 2am which is way to early if you just got out from partying.

Is a very large Hotel, difficult transportation around, very strict the schedule of the restaurant, only one for breakfast, the rest strict with nor flexibility if you are 3 mints late, the attendances look very tire with no motivation to work, look like they work for a long time with no rest. is an stressful trip, very long to be a pleasant

The hotel grounds are great, the beaching pools are beautiful but it was almost too big. A lot of walking to get around. Long waits for the restaurants at dinner time and no reservations. There were buffets so you can't get hungry but I would rate the buffet food a 2 out of 5.

When I first booked the trip I didn't except everything the resort offered when I got there. It was an amazing experience and I would go there for every time I plan to go to the Dominican Republic. The workers were so nice and welcoming. It was worth every penny and more. The amount of activities and places to eat were endless. We enjoyed the pool and the bar at the pool quite a lot. I recommend doing the buggies you drive around Dominican Republic. Let's you see the world outside of the resort. Next time I go I plan to stay longer! I was so sad to leave and would go back in a heart beat.

This hotel is in a park like environment with beautiful and exotic trees and plants. The miles long white sand beach is unbeatable. Plenty of beach lounge chairs for everyone. We stayed at the Bavaro Suite which I believe is the newer side of the property. There are four lobbies in this hotel so please study the material carefully before booking your trip. The room is large with a huge bathroom. The staff is mostly friendly and they make you feel comfortable and welcome. However, the front desk staff seems very unfriendly. They seems annoyed when they are asked a question. If you need to get something done, don't call the front desk from your room. You need to walk down there and look them in the eye to make sure that they follow up with what they promise to do. The cleaning service is substandard. Our shower didn't drain properly. We talked to the front desk several times but no one ever came to fix the problem. In the end, we had to stand in the soiled water for the shower. I have mixed feelings. I like this property very much as it's one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been to. But the shower incident is a nightmare. I have mixed feelings about recommending this hotel to a friend.

We often found ourselves waiting in line to eat mediocre Buffet Food. The resort restaurants' did not take reservations. We were forced to wait an 1 to 1 1/2 hours to be seated. Once again find the food was mediocre at best. At the steak house my wife returned her "Burned Lobster" and received a raw filet. The rooms were average at best. The Ocean and the Sandy beaches were beautiful... I suggest you spend time on them at another resort.

Good experience with staff Food options were ok - I was under the impression we could take advantage of the other facilities restaurant, that was not the case. Surprised the wine selections were not the best brand unless additional fee was paid. Italian food could have been better. Good getaway for 3 or 4 days not longer.

This is my second time at this resort and once again a great experience. There was 4 in our group and 2 more joined half way through. The entertainment staff made our trip for the second time, always friendly and fun. Games down on the beach in the morning and around 4 at the bavaro pool will definitely not leave you bored. If you are wanting to relax there are plenty of spots for that. The only bad thing I would say is that there is not many fruity drink choices and the disco is not usually busy enough. So if you are going to Dominican this is the place to stay.

close to the beach, nice room

Everything is so far away. Not enough carts and to get anyway you need at least 1/2 hour and you got lost. Worst food I ever had in any resort and I go twice in year on vacation different places. it was a fun trip but customer service was really bad!
