Most of the staff were very friendly and kind. The only issue with staff was halfway my own fault. I accidentally left my Nintendo switch 2 in my room. I called the hotel as soon as I realized after we had checked out. We checked out around 11 and I believe I called around 3 or 4 that day. A man at the front desk answered. He said he’d check the lost and found and then didn’t find anything. He said he’d send his houseman up to check the room and I could call back in about 30 minutes to check back in. Which I did, and he said nothing was found. He said I could call in the next day and ask to speak to housekeeping if I wanted. He didn’t take my information. And that was that. So on the basis of that experience alone, I can’t recommend this place. I know it’s my fault for forgetting the switch but you want to know that a hotel isn’t going to just steal your things if something happens to get left behind. Beyond that we had several problems with our bathroom. The sink didn’t drain properly. The toilet wobbled and moved around. There was no fan in the bathroom. It’s a fine hotel if you have to stay there. But it’s not worth the price and it sounds like some of the staff have sticky fingers- whether it’s the maid service or the front desk, I couldn’t tell you. But the front desk guy really didn’t seem to be concerned.

Love seeing the smoke stacks from my room! My Dad used to work in the mill. Beautiful fireplace out back, looking at the mon river. Everything was excellent and enjoyed my stay!

Good: The hotel was in a great location, with shopping and dining options across the street. The room had a great view of a river, was large, and was quiet. The price was decent. Mediocre: The breakfast selection was small and the food not great, but it was included. Bad: The first room had the door pulled out of the top hinge so it was very difficult to open and close and the toilet paper holder was pulled out of the wall. The second room was better, but the door was still hard to open/close and the toilet paper holder leaned downwards, which meant the roll would fall off when moved. This room had a constant chemical smell, the carpet didn't look vacuumed, and the bathroom was pretty small given the space elsewhere. The housekeeper left the door ajar after cleaning, which meant anyone could have walked in and stolen our items - luckily that didn't happen when we came back about 6 hours later. The air conditioning was not working in the lobby, dining area, and hallways due to a failed part.
