Great hotel
This is not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are cheap with scratched furniture. Mini fridge not plugged in and not stocked. Had to call 5 times to get room service. The lights are wired to different switches that make no sense. Buttons to elevator don’t work. Gym only open until 7pm. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Always a great stay at the Fairmont. Their staff members are courteous and friendly. And the hotel and rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.
Dirty, noisy, and not worth the money in any way. There are much nicer hotels in downtown Pittsburgh for a lot less.
Great room, beautiful views, wonderful staff!
The Fairmont was beautiful! The staff was so friendly and helpful! The location was phenomenal as it was walking distance to virtually everything! The only things I would consider for them as potential improvements would be to adjust the room rate to include parking and WiFi. Was a bit off-putting to have to think about these as extras in such a nice hotel.
My family and I had just driven 7 hours from New York and we’re supposed to check-in at 3pm and be at the Pittsburgh game a few hours after… our room was not ready. They told me to walk around for 30 minutes to kill some time and then return. At 3:25, I returned… they needed 30 more minutes. We were ALL exhausted, the kids were cranky. They offered us a drink at the bar, I told them I do not drink and I’m with children….
Gorgeous hotel close to everything downtown! Staff was very welcoming and accommodating.
This hotel is in a great location, adjacent to Market Square and a ton of restaurants and tourist destinations. The Fairmont was modern, clean and updated. We received great service from the front desk. Easy spot for Uber/Lyft pickup. We used the self-parking which was $30 per day but super convenient if you aren't planning on driving during your trip. Valet is $40 per day.
Absolutely beautiful view of the city overlooking Market Square. Room needed a better dusting but overall clean. Beds and pillows were amazing. Quiet during our stay. People were respectful and common sense reigned on covid precautions/mask wearing. Lovely to see all the brides and wedding parties. Cons...smashed potato chips on rug in the elevator area, we did not have any glasses or coffee/mugs in the room....no coffee for the keurig. There was no mini fridge in the room. For the price...these are not excusable oversights. Also...room not ready when we got there at 330pm. Luckily we zipped over to Market Square and watched the Pens game and had a few drinks. My last con is to me a biggie...no signage on paying for parking before exiting hotel... taking ticket with you...needing to pay to get out of the garage. Please improve your signage about where the ticket kiosk is and to pay BEFORE going to your car
Beautiful hotel and great service
The parking was very expensive. $30/day. It would’ve been fantastic if parking was validated.
