The Priory Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I've stayed here a few times and every one has been lovely. This time I went down to the bar and met some very friendly people. The bartender was a sweet young lady who just came home from several tours in military service.

This is a unique hotel, built from an old priory, hence the name. Much nicer inside than you'd expect. It has free on-site and secure parking, breakfast included, and there are restaurants in walking distance. Interesting bar with simple food service and an enclosed patio where you can have your drinks and breakfast. Just across the river from downtown Pittsburgh.

The hotel is quite nice. Old feel vibe, but very comfortable. I loved the small patio where you can have breakfast (which is quite good) or a drink. Location is very convinient to PNC park, Warhol Museum, Childrens Museum, etc. Room was very clean with good size. Staff very helpful and friendly. My only down point is that the neighborhood felt a bit unfriendly, specially walking back at night from a ballgame.

It rocks best time walk down Ohio st for the shops

We loved the Priory Hotel and have already recommended it to some friends traveling to Pittsburgh. We were in town for a Cubs-Pirates game and the location was perfect. The Cubs also won and it was their 100th win of the season, so it will never be forgotten! The complimentary shuttle service was of great benefit and the gentleman was super nice and informative. Breakfast area was also very well appointed and included an outdoor patio area. There was a cute little bar off of the lobby area.

The hotel staff were excellent and the shuttle service was wonderful

Nice hotel within walking distance to PNC park, Warhol museum and downtown. Cool history to this hotel. Nice staff and decent breakfast.

We always like to stay in historic hotels & properties when we travel and this one is right up there with some of the best! Quite often, we travel to see a major league baseball game, so we chose this hotel because it was within walking distance of PNC Park. The property is beautiful, with a lovely courtyard in which to rest, have a drink, or read a book. Our room was perfect, and the staff was very, very helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.

lovely place out of another era. great staff too, delightful

The hotel was beautiful and had a lot of character. The neighborhood isn't dangerous at all and the staff was wonderful.

Very cool historic hotel. Great beds. Decent breakfast. Small bar. Van driver was very helpful.

First time to PIttsburgh, and went for a Steelers game. The hotel was conveniently located, rooms were nice, staff was helpful, and breakfast was really good.

Clean room, good A/C, central location, nice breakfast.

this was a great rate and perfect location for downtown Pittsburgh activities. the historic priory with its unique charm is comfortable, convenient, and it has aged well. perfect for Pittsburgh sporting events or exploring downtown. great local bars and restaurants too.

Good location, lots of history, amazing staff. A great onsite hidden bar.

Lovely old building remade into a hotel w/bar. Breakfast included. Only annoyance... the bathroom door couldn't be closed.

We stayed here at the last minute to go the the Pirates game. The hotel is a beautiful historic building hidden a few blocks from PNC Park. It was quiet, very clean, offers a free breakfast and free parking. Just the perfect place to stay to walk to everything. Will stay here again.

Stayed here for the Steelers game and had a great weekend! Hotel staff was great and very friendly. King size room was big and spacious, also breakfast was extra delicious! Great value and walking distance to Heinz Field. Would definitely stay again!

Close to the Pirates game and nothing else. Very nice staff and the room was terrific. But the area is not welcoming.

I would recommend (and do) the Priory as an outstanding place to stay for anyone visiting Pittsburgh. Not only are the rooms beautiful, clean and comfortable, but the Monks bar is a great place to have a late night drink and relax. The breakfast in the morning is amazing, fresh eggs and pastry! We sat out in the beautiful courtyard to eat our food, we didn't want to leave the place!
