Hotel was nice, very friendly staff, other guest were out of control (loud) party for 3hrs they woke me up!

Convenient location and attractive, updated rooms with nice amenities, but some staff were inconsiderate and not very efficient in responding to our requests. Person at desk during check-in was quite rude. We booked a room for 5 and found only 2 towels and it took 30 mins to get more and 45 mins to get an extra blanket at bedtime.

Came to Pittsburgh for a last minute get away over Spring Break. Hotel is located in South Side along the River within walking distance to restaurants, etc. Great for families. The complimentary breakfast was very good, especially the personalized omelets made by a very friendly chef who managed a busy Saturday morning with ease. Our suite was spacious and perfect for a family of 4.

Clean, nice stay for family. Provided home away from home. Nothing more to add.

Loved the room and it was for an affordable price.

Beautiful hotel Staff was amazing And it was near some really good restaurants

We love staying here mainly for the nice, spacious room. It is great to be able to have some degree of separation when we travel with two kids. Having a full kitchen with microwave could be nice for longer stays. We just enjoyed the kitchen table as a separate area where one of us could sit down to work. I enjoyed the breakfast, which includes omelets made to order, a nice addition to the standard hotel fare. Parking is valet only and I expected delays but it all worked very smoothly.

From the moment you drive up and are greeted, you will be impressed. Hyatt House Southside's staff go out of their way for you. The Hotel is about 3 years old and sits close enough to Carson Street to walk, and is about 1.5 miles from Carnegie Museums. Breakfast is included with your stay, and you can either do self serve, or have Jesse make you a made to order omelet. The view from our room was spectacular as well. We had a mini suite overlooking the water, and could watch the sunrise, the barges on the water, or just people walking by. An absolutely great hotel in an awesome area. We can't wait to come back. The walls are a little thin... so you may want to be considerate of your "neighbors" or bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The workout room was nice. The pool was there, but we didn't use it. They also have coin operated laundry onsite.

First time at a Hyatt Place hotel and very pleasantly surprised by property. High on list to stay here on next trip.

What a fine hotel. Greatly enjoyed the room. Unquestionably the best suite we have been in. And the staff, all questions were answered immediately to our satisfaction, which is not common at other properties. An omlet cooked to order for breakfast accomidating and well staffed. Only issue is that the parking is not complimentary, though the valet parking is well handled. And local parking lots charge more for an overnight stay. So all in all, very good.

It was a great location for walking to all sorts of shopping and bars and exercise... right on the river path. Really wonderful breakfast and breakfast staff. Two disappointments: no complimentary bottled water and $14 per night for your car. Take a page from the Res Inn next door - free parking.

The valet staff was awesome. The room exceeded my expectations and the complimentary breakfast was good.

A few friends and I decided to stay at a hotel over the Labor Day weekend. The hotel was beautiful and in a great location! Most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only thing that I have to say that was negative is that it didn't seem like we fit in with everyone else there. As young African American women, it felt like we were being watched not only by desk staff, but by hotel customers as well. It was awkward and embarrassing. Overall, our stay was great. We'd stay again.

Stayed for my nephew's wedding which was nearby. This hotel is located in Southside Works which is a nice area. Stores, restaurants, and other entertainment. I would stay here again.

The room that we stayed in was great! The kitchenette was a welcomed surprise as well as the layout and modern design of the overall room. The staff was very cordial and I will stay at this hotel on our next trip to the 'Burgh.

We booked a king suite to take our daughter and two friends to Pittsburgh overnight for a birthday present. Valet parking was only $14!! That was nice. Upon entering the hotel I was a bit confused about where the lobby was (up a floor). I figured it out. The staff at the desk was quick to check us in and we went to our room. Unfortunately, we discovered that we were in a room with just a partial wall between the bed/bedroom and the living room area where the girls were going to sleep on a pull out couch. That would never work (teenage girls). So, we asked at the desk if we could change to a different room. For $10 additional, we were able to move to a room that had a door between the bed and the living room area. That was nice! The hotel was clean and easy to get around. It's located in an area that has nice shops, a movie theater, several restaurants, and overlooks the river. The patio outside was a nice feature at night, while the girls swam in the nearby indoor pool. We walked two blocks away to the Pittsburgh double decker bus tour for a tour of the city. VERY NICE! We ate at the nearby Cheesecake Factory! On Sunday we had a nice breakfast which is included with your room. FULL Breakfast! Very nice added bonus. The cost of the room was a little high in my opinion...but the best I could do on short notice and with needing a separate area for the girls. Would recommend this hotel. VERY Easy to get in and out of the city...and the hotel has a free shuttle! Downside: There were five of us in the room...only one container of conditioner and only three towels. One light weight blanket. We asked for additional and never received more blankets, and only three additional towels. The pool only had three clean towels in the towel area. overall it was a good experience!

Right in south side, plenty to do if you just want to get away for the weekend. Nice, cozy hotel that also happens to be directly next door to the Haufbrahaus. Walk to the haufbrahaus, REI, irish pub, movie theater and more. I will definitely be back.

Horrible. Broken glass in hotel bathroom. Crumbs in the sofa bed. Staff is rude and inconsiderate. Horrible time. I do NOT recommend this hotel.

Make visiting Pittsburgh like visiting the beach. Stay here!

stayed for 2 nights. very close to shopping and dining. close commute to other attractions. Newer hotel with huge rooms and kitchen. Breakfast was impressive for the price
