Unfortunate Stay — Series of Issues

We came in to stay for the PGH marathon and had quite the unfortunate experience. Started with when getting into our room, found the previous occcupant’s leftovers in the fridge. After throwing that away, discovered that the TV wasn’t working… at which point figured it’s fine, wanted to get to bed anyways. At this point it’s around 9pm and music from another floor can still be heard and felt (would continue through 10p). The bathroom was not clean either. Nor the floors throughout. Some kind of bug was crawling over the sheets… I am not sure if we were just extremely unlucky given the other reviews but as expensive as the room was, it was definitely not an experience we expected. We won’t be returning to this hotel. As a quick aside, the person we checked out with was extremely kind. Hopefully this experience was more of an unlucky one for us and not indicative of the average experience.

Mold in the ice bucket, the roughest towels I’ve ever used in my life- like sandpaper. The room was small and many little things in it were broken. Bedding felt cheap. The window shades didn’t close all the way so the streetlights kept me up both nights. All that for a steep nightly rate!! Terrible experience!
