This hotel is nothing special. You pay a value price and get exactly that, a value experience. The hotel is fine overall but it has a highly used feeling to it. Throughout the hotel the carpets are dirty, stained, and in desperate need of cleaning. Within our room the Ethernet wall jack was broken and falling off of the wall. You'll notice little things like that throughout your stay. Also, the beds and furniture are stiff and unforgiving. On the upside, the pool facility is nice, the wifi delivers a strong signal throughout the building and breakfast was good. The hotel is close to the Pittsburgh zoo which played a large part in our decision. If you are looking for anything more than a basic hotel, keep looking. If you want to pay a low price and still expect free breakfast, this is the one.

Short stay to be closer to Pittsburgh for VA appt. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.

We had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was nice too. Facilities kept nice and clean. Staff was curteous and helpful.

We recently had the displeasure of staying at this Comfort Inn and Suites for a wedding. Upon arrival, the check-in process was slow and there was a long line. The person working the desk was nice and friendly and was doing her best with the large crowd. Upon getting to the room, we were disappointed to encounter a moldy/musty smell as well as worn furniture and carpeting. There were several spiderwebs on the bed, and it appeared that we were the first people in the room for some time. The one bright spot was that the TV was nicer and newer; however, there was no remote to be found anywhere in the room. Friends of ours had to transfer rooms due to visible mold in the corner of their room. We would have checked out, but unfortunately were short on time and needed to catch the shuttle to the wedding. After the wedding we came back and upon a closer inspection of the bathroom found mouse droppings. At this point it was too late, and we set our alarms early and just got out of there ASAP. When we were checking out I showed the person working the desk pictures of the mouse droppings and told her of my issues with the rooms. She simply apologized and insisted that, "we don't have mice." I asked her what the droppings in the picture were and she had no explanation other than to repeat that they do not have mice. I travel frequently for work and am fine with worn down hotels, but the uncleanliness of the hotel and rudeness of the staff are unacceptable. Stay anywhere else, seriously.

Arrived late in day due to funeral visitation. Were greeted by friendly courteous staff. Room was clean and prepared for occupancy. Had a quiet peaceful night's sleep. Breakfast was good. Would stay again when in area without hesitation.

The room was clean, staff really great and breakfast was included for a really great price.

Nice friendly small town hotel. Rooms were comfortable and the pool area very nice with a great courtyard fro hanging out with friends

Biggest problem -- my cousin's ipad was stolen out of her room. Aside from that, the stay was what we expected. Breakfast was pretty good -- lots of choices. Beds weren't all that comfortable. I felt like the previous guests must have had several dogs with them or something -- my allergies were terrible during the whole stay. My checkin clerk wasn't all there. I had reserved two rooms and only got keys to one. Had to call to get the others and that took a while. I wanted adjoining rooms and he just kept telling me they were all out. I don't care then! Just give me the keys to my other room and let me get my kids to bed already!! Pool was closed during out stay but that didn't matter this time. Really only stayed there because the location was convenient for our needs. Definitely room for improvement. Good luck.

Quick check in, room very comfortable, pool area clean and enjoyable

We didnt expect the hotel to be this good. The Hotel is nice , Room is neat,Bar is good and breakfast is also good.

Shady area old hotel nothing fancy staff was rude. Overpriced but was busy night in PIT area

The room was okay. They are renovating so it shoujld be better soon. I hate hotel beds and this was no exception. The business location was good

Hotel is under renovation, quite place not many food options around you have to drive 3/4 miles though there is a restaurant in the hotel. staff was good and room was clean.

Pro's: Close to many different restaurants and shopping. Also approx 15 mins to PNC Park and other downtown attractions. Pool was nice and warm. Many hotel pool are freezing. Breakfast has several options. Con's: Awful front desk staff. Young kids who did not even try to act like they care about moving quick or answering simple questions. Check in was extremely long especially since the room is already paid for. The hotel is under construction, however lets try to make sure THERE ARE NO NAILS/SCREWS IN THE HALLWAY.

decent rooms, nice beds, cold pool. A little price for not being close to Pittsburgh. No wireless internet.

We stayed here twice now, was nice to find a hotel to stay at not far from Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. We had stayed at the Holiday Inn at University Center the first time and it was so noisy and busy, plus more expensive for drinks in the lounge, that This Holiday Inn was a nice surprise. Yes, it needs some updating, but it was clean and comfortable.

My room was located next to the highway and it was extremely noisy. I don't know about other rooms but there is a possibility other rooms could be as noisy as the hotel is located right next to the highway.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. It was neat and comfortable and situated right off a main highway. The service was fast and friendly. I was upset that the restaurant was closed but besides that it was just what we needed.

If you want to be in the city with all the happenings at you fingertips this may not be the spot for you. However, this hotel was still very convenient! I was able to get to all of the fun activities in the city within 5 minutes and saved a bundle of money over the cost of staying downtown. The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The property is situated of the highway enough that it was very quite at night. It was very hot while I was in Pittsburgh so making use of the pool was important to me. The pool is located in an solarium with a opening roof. The water was overly chlorinated but was still acceptable. I guess you have to expect that in a hotel pool. I would stay at this hotel again.
