We were just stopping here for the night so it was booked short notice. The room and staff were nice. Room was clean and comfortable however the curtains did not close, which sucked when the sun came up early the next morning. The parking.......is awful. I can't believe they charge $20 a day for it. I was told to use the lot next door. It was tiny maybe 20 spaces. If you drive to the end it's impossible to turn around if you don't find a spot. Had to back all the way out. Then told there was additional parking in the garage below. Again about 20 or so spaces and they were almost all obstructed by cement pillars which made it impossible to pull in. My husband had to exit on my side, passenger side, of the vehicle. It was terrible. They really need to remedy that. Aside from the curtains and the parking, a nice stay.

No fridge, no bathroom fan, bad sink faucet and worn carpet. However, clean , comfy bed, accommodating staff and best u Pitt and Oakland location. Also parking was easy ($20/day, self park)

Visiting U of Pitt, stayed one night, had a late dinner at the hotel restaurant/bar.

Noisy. No fridge or microwave. Charged $20 for parking when gate was up & there would not have been charge. Quite Disappointing. Stayed in town to be at work in am with icy roads predicted.

There was a mouse in our room. We found water bottles and socks under the bed. Regardless I didn't sleep and it effected my important business meeting. Staff was very nice

Nice hotel but would expect more for the money I paid. Comfy beds and pillows though!

Very good service.,clean etc..........There is a nice young man named Marcus whom was in the lobby that greeted everyone, he was extremely professional and very helpful !!! Also, a restaurant employee I believe her name is Gloria was very friendly and professional. The Bar Employee whom served me a drink on Friday night I requested a lemon twist she placed two cherries in my beverage ,when I requested a lemon she sticks her hand in my glass takes the cherries out and lectures me about having a lemon in my drink.I didn't argue with her ,however will contact the hotel manager regarding what I consider someone whom is in need of more PROFESSIONALISM..... I truly didn't think she knew better, she was a bit rough around the edges . Notwithstanding ,I will visit there again, and I highly recommend staying at the establishment . One last comment, I rode past the place twice before I located the building ,others whom were on the elevator expressed the same problem..........corporate management needs to correct the matter.

Positive esperience, clean and fabulous position. Walking distance from UPitt facilities.

We spent one night there for visiting the campus. Location could not be better. It looks recently remodeled. Room was spacious, clean, with everything needed including bottled water and Wolfgang Puck coffee maker, bathroom clean. Parking fee extra. Will reccomend!

Stayed there for three nights. I lost internet access on the third night. It took several hours to fix the problems. Also, they seem to have poor housekeeping, such as not vacuuming the room and bathroom and not filling up complementary items (water, paper cup for coffee)

This hotel is well situated for visitors to the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, or the Carnegie Museum. Our room and the lobby were immaculate; the room was spacious. We did not eat in the restaurant but it looked pleasant from outside.

The best part of this hotel is it's location. It is literally across the street from the Cathedral of Learning and is within walking distance of both the Pitt and CMU campuses. Getting in and out of the parking area is tight and the spaces are even tighter. All of the staff that we interacted with were extremely nice and personable. The only downside to the hotel was the bed and pillows, which unfortunately is kind of the most important part of the hotel. The bed was firm and uncomfortable, but the pillows were overly soft with my head basically going straight through it. I needed two pillows to keep my neck up, but it still wasn't perfectly comfortable. Using three pillows? Not even an option as at that point it would go the other way and be too high and uncomfortable. So two pillows was best, but still not as nice as one pillow I've had at other hotels. All in all, it was usable and we slept well, with just a crick in the neck when we woke up. Everything was clean and well-maintained and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to be right on campus.

Prior to this visit I had avoided the Holiday Inn university center because of reviews that it was "just okay" and "in need of an update". Now that Wyndham has taken over and done a complete re-model the rooms are new, clean and the beds are super comfortable! We stayed in an executive room which has a lounge for a "deluxe continental breakfast". I would not characterize the breakfast as "deluxe" (yes, it has some fruit and some yogurt and hard-boiled eggs, but I've had better at other hotels). Other than that, the location can't be beat for visiting our kids at U of Pitt.

Hidden costs ( $20.00) parking fee!!! Not toliet paper , shower was filthey and the room was sooo small!!!

Loved the hotel. Nice room. Nice bar. Convenient parking. Very convenient for visiting daughter at Pitt. Felt very safe walking alone at night. Would REALLY have like a small refridgerator for keeping soda/water cold and microwave to reheat leftovers.

No refrigerator or microwave no free continental breakfast included as advertised $20 fee per night for parking-advertised as parking available very convenient for visitors to Pittsburgh university pricey for lack of amenities

Close to a bus stop but parking in the garage is 20$ a night. The staff were really nice. I found the bed uncomfortable. I paid for breakfast in the mornings but it was not explained to me where the free breakfast was so I ended up going out on the first day or my trip to waste more money on breakfast.

I was charged $20.00 to park in their parking garage which was already full. I had to park in an outside lot but was not refunded the $20.00 fee. We called to make sure that there would be towels in the pool area and were told that there should be but that they would send someone down to make sure that there were plenty of towels stocked there. When we arrived to use the pool, there were only 2 towels for 5 of us and no one ever showed up to bring additional towels. We used the phone to call a LOCAL pizza delivery company and were charged $1.07 for the local call. I was VERY disappointed to see that there was no refrigerator in the room and that you had to ask for it ahead of time and pay an additional $20 to have one. A room that costs this much per night should have those items included. I wasn't terribly impressed with this facility.

Pleasant, clean, private--and ideally located for access to the University of Pittsburgh campus, the Carnegie Museums, Phipps Conservatory, the Carnegie Library, and many shops and restaurants in Oakland. Very friendly and responsive staff.

Granddaughter really loved the pool - and so did we. Nice, clean and warm.
