Hyatt Place Pittsburgh-North Shore

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Reasonably priced for quality and location. The North Shore now has many restaurants/bars and the hotel is just a short walk from downtown.

The staff here is amazing! Breakfast was great, one evening they had brownies out to taste. Everyone I met was smiling and friendly.

Very accommodating manager at check in! Pittsburgh is a very cool city to visit. Wish we had more time

Promised a river view but got none. The room was ok, but the bed was soft and lumpy. In addition in creeked. When someone laid down. The door to the bathroom was misaligned and hard to shut closed. The staff had no clue about city tours and how to get them. Not good place for tourists, despite having a great location.

Not recently updated. Room was not worth the $160+ we payed. Pool was OK, but not worth writing home about. Breakfast was OK. They charged us more than what they said for parking. Overall not impressed.

Our stay was great. The only improvement would be a better breakfast buffet. The food was not in line with high price of room.

Room was clean and laid out really well. Nice sitting area nice bathroom with another solid door. Parking was easy.

the staff helped with commute in and around the greater pittsburgh area! awesome experience!

Staff was very friendly I will give them all that. First problem was that a lot of these booking sites state parking is included and it is not, it's an extra $22 per day. I heard one of the desk clerks argue this with people checking in at least 2-3 times in my 3 day stay. Hotel was clean overall, housekeeping straightened room but did not wipe things down. We ordered Chinese one night and the tables were still very sticky and you could tell they were not wiped. Worst thing I experienced was when she brought new hand towels. One had makeup and blood on it, clearly not even washed, how that happened I don't know. If your choosing this place cause breakfast is included.... DONT. my husband always wants me to book a place with a hot breakfast included... That's his only request, the breakfast sandwiches are not sandwiches at all. It was a piece of break that was so hard you couldn't rip it with your teeth, this is Mon-Fri. Weekend breakfast was much better though, it consisted of scrambled eggs and sausage. No coffee is left out for self service like every hotel I have ever stayed at... Nothing is left out at all.

Pleasant environment, good breakfast, great location.

My room (305) had great view of river and Mount Washington. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Best of all the hotel is located just a very very short walk from PNC Park and several lively pubs.

We stayed here after my husband ran a marathon. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was awesome especially for us sports fans. Baseball and Football field was right outside the hotel and the Casino was just a short walk away. The hotel offered a shuttle service for various places which was great since my husband just ran a marathon. If we ever come back to PIT we will def rebook the hotel.

We went to the Pittsburgh Zoo. Great Zoo! Nice restaurants close by.

My husband and I booked this hotel due to it being close to PNC park. We have stayed here before and loved it due to how close it was to places on the Northshore and because the rooms are very spacious and nice. Would recommend to any friends or family staying in Pittsburgh.

Literally smack dab in the center of North Shore. Walking distance to PNC field and Stage AE. It was nice for the location. A little pricey, but it is downtown Pittsburgh. Staff was very friendly at check-in. There is a secure lot right next to the hotel to park that is accessible only by room key but it was $19 a day to park. Only complaint was the room seemed a bit run-down. Overall, nice though.

Was in Pittsburgh for the University of Pittsburgh spring graduation. Hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes from campus. Would also be a great place if you were coming for a Pirates baseball game or a football game at Heinz field.

The hotel lobby was very clean and beautiful. The staff was very helpful and gave my friend and I helpful advice about the area. The room was beyond our expectations! And, to top it all off, the breakfast was amazing!! Great stay!

Clean and wide room, comfortable. Family trip, we loved the breakfast, staff very solicitous! Not so fun for little kids, I think the pool was planned for teens and up. But we had a very pleasant time there.

The location is great, right by the stadiums, near the Casino and close to some good restaurants. Good stay for us.

I love staying hear for business. It's right down by everything I need and can avoid paying for a rental car. Great staff and good breakfast.
