I was bitten by bed bug(s) the second night. I told the front desk and they refunded my last night, however I felt it wasn't enough. Just beware.

Because all of the other well known hotels were sold out, we ended up picking this place. While we were initially very underwhelmed with the property the hearty breakfast and convenience of the shuttle balanced out our opinion. Pros: convenient shuttle to/from airport generous breakfast & happy hour/snacks $10 towards snacks at the front friendly staff with smiley faces and helpful affordable close to a mall and the highway cozy and updated lobby sitting area Cons: its about 20 minutes from the airport so it seemed a bit odd to call it an airport hotel 70's property property that where you are walking outside to get to rooms 1st room's ac did not work so they moved us to another room on the other side so we had to walk around to the opposite end and that room reeked of smoke no elevators so had to lug furniture around up/down stairs very outdated furniture needed a makeover sketchy area (I think I saw a prostitute across the street at the gentleman's club that I was not excited to see)

The inside of rooms looks to have been remodeled, but the plumbing was so lour when other rooms when turn on their water - that it startled me awake multiple times in the middle of the night. I dont think there is much you can do about that, but just a heads up.

Rooms need renovation to update. There were no utensils with the kitchenette. Great food, happy hour is a plus. Staff was the best part!

The in-house restaurant was absolutely horrible!!! Burnt bacon to black crisp in BLT and in bacon burger, the meat patty on the burger may have started life as beef, maybe, but it was shoe leather on received. Worst food at a restaurant in my life:(

I had a man at 3am banging on my neighbors door for 30 minutes trying to get in. I realize this is not the hotel's fault, but after my call it took them a good 20 minutes to come talk to the guy.

We did not stay in rooms anywhere as nice as the ones in the photos. Room was old and needs some major repair. Mattresses need replacing. While sitting on the end of one of the beds, I sank an alarming amount. Some light bulbs were out. Chipping paint in bathroom. Front desk staff were kind and friendly, but they were backpedaling after overbooking the airport shuttle requiring us to leave unnecessarily early.

This hotel is definitely not the hotel pictured in the photos. Our room smelled musty and smoky. There were stains on the carpet and an overall grimy feeling to the whole hotel. We did not feel safe there and did. It end up staying at this hotel.

Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Need new outdoor furniture . Too many unruly kids in hot tub all day long so we couldn't enjoy our pool time.

Booking site pictures of hotel room had to be very old. The room was in very rough condition. Nowhere worth the price we paid for the room.

We drove past the hotel due to its position and the sign reading Inn and Suites rather than Hotel Tempe. It is right on a busy street at an intersection so were concerned about noise but slept well. Pleased with room- clean, nice bedroom with TV and enclosed balcony area which over looked the street ( but could view the sunset). TV in sitting area which also had little fridge, microwave and hotplate.Bathroom had a Jacuzzi. Also 2 free drinks at the social hour (5-6.30pm) included. The swimming pool is very small. Hotel's a little outdated but we would definitely stay there again. Unfortunately we missed the breakfast buffet since we had to leave so early.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is well maintained and clean, and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed to free breakfast and a free cocktail hour as well. Our room faced an adjacent 'gentlemens club', but during our stay (which included a Saturday night) we had no noise or any other issues. The hotel is very convenient if you are making use of Sky Harbor Airport, and is right on I-10 if you are moving around the Phoenix area. There is a large mall just across the strand several fast food and other restaurants nearby. There is a small pool that we did not use but looked very clean and was getting quite a bit of use by families staying at the hotel.

I booked this hotel for the last night of a 3 day stay in Phoenix. I found the reception staff to be extremely courteous and helpful. I had a slight problem where the TV showed no picture (static) and the girl at the front desk offered to come to the room and fix it - she said the input selector probably needed to be set to HDMI2. I tried it and that did the trick. The bathroom was a little unusual - the toilet and shower in the same tiled room with no shower curtain. It did not cause a problem, though. The breakfast buffet was very good (do-it-yourself waffles, oranges, bananas, sausage, Mexican style eggs, coffee, juices, milk/cereal). I went through twice! And the pool area with hot tub was excellent. I had a pool-view room with a 42" flat screen and the total was only $120 with taxes. Lots of cable channels included. I slept great (no noise from other rooms). Highly recommended!

This is an affordable, centrally located hotel with a good breakfast. Based on your priorities, consider: 1. Pillows are thick and lumpy. There are plenty, but all are disappointing. Bed covers are too light. 2. The hairdryer literally caught on fire when I pushed the 'on' button. 3. The bathtub noisily dripped. Stain indicated this is a longtime problem. (In Phoenix where there is no water!) 3. The hotel refused to add my friend's name to the existing 2-person reservation so he could check in early before me, claiming this could only be accomplished via the discount vendor through which I purchased the room. But Orbitz tried for 25 minutes to reach the hotel in order to accomplish this, and could not get through. The receptionist said this happens a lot. So.... they need a solution here. 4. Breakfast is well thought-out, hot, and delicious. Seriously good job on the breakfast.

The location is great ... hot breakfast is great but same food everyday after 3 days your tired of the same food. The rooms are good size but beds and couches could use a serious update / cleaning our couch was dirty and ripped on arm of couch I would not sit on it ... sheets need to be exchanged you can tell they are old and dingy .. bathtubs need a deep cleaning and a glaze there was rust around the drain . This Hotel could be a great place due to location but needs Serious TLC and updates especially in the breakfast area floors were sticky chairs need to be whipped down . The little things count to make a Hotel Great hopefully they put the extra money into this location .

Was given a different room then the one i reserved and was told they couldn't give a new rate because i went threw orbits. Never been so disappointed before.

If you're looking for a room close to the airport, this is NOT it. I would recommend staying further away and finding a decent place. Our room was dirty, outdated (advertised as a modern boutique hotel), loud, stains on towels and sheets, and random cats walking around everywhere. Not impressed. And when we checked in, the girl at the desk acted like it was a big inconvenience as she had to stop texting...couldn't help but notice she was texting "F***boy". i had enough time to see this name, because it took her so long to look up from her phone. Don't book here! Would love a refund.

Shuttle was late picking me up, finally got to room to discover the toilet leaking water all over floor in bathroom, tried to call front desk but both phones were broken, finally got key for new room but when I got to the room someone else was in there (thank goodness they hung the do not disturb sign on their door), got a third room but the TV didn't work. Breakfast was decent and the gal who was helping me at check in genuinely felt bad and was trying to make it better, it's just an old hotel that is poorly managed and falling apart.

Dirty and smelly , phone didn't work and asked staff for more towels , never got them, no toilet paper

Very good staff, friendly and inviting, the room was clean and maintained. The only issue I can draw was the inability to get the water in the shower just a bit hotter than they allowed it.

Thank you so much for your candid assessment of our hotel. I am glad you enjoyed the breakfast. I am sorry about the AC issue, we are supposed to check them before guest arrival to make sure they are working properly. I will revisit the importance of this check with the housekeepers. The rooms will be updated this summer, I am sorry you had to suffer through them prior to the new furniture, carpets, draperies and bathrooms. I don't know why they would have put you in one of our smoking rooms, I am really sorry for that inconvenience.

Thanks for the nice scores despite your horrible food experience. I am assuming you are talking about the Manager's Reception the first Wednesday of the month, or did you order a hamburger at night during happy hour. I am new here and I will be monitoring the food to make sure it gets better. I can't have unhappy guests.
