Check in and out was easy. Free shuttle to and from the airport [although the wait for the shuttle was quite long], bed is comfortable, room is clean and has a fridge and microwave. Some parts of the bathroom although clean, are showing signs of wear. Breakfast has both hot and cold choices but the breakfast room is extremely small and although there are staff, they do not keep the tables and room very clean. I would stay here again.
This hotel was adequate for my wife and I to spend one night in the Phoenix area. Check-in was easy and the breakfast was actually quite good. I did not appreciate the long black hairs in the bathtub from a previous guest. The pool was right outside our room and the kids were in the pool until ten pm. Overall OK.
First, the pictures on the website are deceiving! The outside is gross and dirty! NEVER book a room at a hotel that is near a convenience store! Our room was on the other side to where people were smoking marijuana!! We were moved only to be next door to a crying baby and a sick child. There was also a man carrying two large bags of trash to the dumpster! This place is only meant for college kids or people who want to party! It is not worth the money! If you love your children do not let them stay here! DISGUSTING!!!!!!
This is my opinion of Hotel Tempe. It was one of the worst places I have ever rented, I always pull the sheets off to look at mattress before I sleep, it was terrible! All stained up with God knows what bodily fluids and there wasn't even a mattress pad on it! I then look at the pillows, pulling the cases off then the "protective" pillow protecters...EWWWW! OMG I wouldn't let my pets sleep on something so gross. It was late and places were booked so we went to Ross's and bought a plastic shower curtain and new pillows. We slept (or tried to sleep) on top of the shower curtain. It was so noisy that my husband had to go out in the hall once to ask them to please keep it down, then at 1 am I finally called the desk and told them to please help with the noise. Oh and the "cocktail hour" what a joke, out of one flavor beer and no red wine left either, the place was so dirty we walked out. In the morning I was able to find another hotel and we checked out...In my opinion this was the worst place we could of chosen, I thought being by the airport would be good but that was a mistake too, the area around this hotel is not so good, almost scary. We got a very nice room at La Quinta (only place we could find for all our days) it was cheaper, WAY cleaner and the staff was excellent...Live and learn, I will never stay at a place that is not a chain unless I see it first, maybe the owners need to skip the free bottles of water, no cocktail hour and invest in some mattress's and pillows that don't look like they have been in a prison for years
Stayed for a few nights with my daughter. We stayed in a presidential jacuzzi suite one night, the jacuzzi tub in the corner of the bedroom was a nice bonus, but the room had a terrible set up, the bathroom had no counter space and was very small. there is a second jacuzzi tub which you needed to stand in to take a shower. There was a kitchen in the suite, but it had no pots, pans, plates or utensils of any kind. Our other 2 nights we stayed in a studio queen room. It had a nice setup. It was in some need of updating as the shower needed repairs, the mini fridge was pulling away from the wall, and the toilet was loose. Even with these issues, I would stay here again. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The pool area looked nice but it was too cold during our stay to enjoy it. The breakfast was simple, but a nice touch. It is close to the freeway, though no freeway noise. The fantastic Arizona Mills Mall is right across the street, you can actually walk or drive directly from the hotel into the mall parking lot. Free parking was also included and water is available in the lobby for a nominal fee.
Stayed for a couple nights on business. Rooms clearly have been upgraded since my last visit. New carpet, case goods, design etc. Very clean, and very easy to navigate. Lobby has had a complete redesign, and check in staff were extremely friendly, well done.
Highly recommended! Would like to recognize Rosie in the cafe for her exceptional costumer service and her hospitality! She has made it east for us to choose this location as our primary hotel for our company employees. A huge thank you to Lee in sales for making out experience a pleasant one and helping us facilitate our reservation needs! Clean rooms and great location. Close to just about anything you can imagine.
Breakfast was good and the beds comfortable . Hotel was dirty and in need of updating. In our room shower faucet broken both air conditioning units wouldn’t shut off and bottom of bathroom cabinet was falling off. No cold water available. Water so hot it was almost impossible to take a shower. I would look for another place to stay
My wife and I stayed here for one night while we were visiting in the area. We choice this hotel because of the location near the Arizona Mills Mall. It is easy access on and off the Interstate and Baseline. We received a suite that had two separate rooms with a sofa bed, two tv's and a kitchenette. It was very roomy. Check in was swift and without issue and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. On entering the room we noticed that the sofa bed was badly stained. The room smelled a little stale but the bed and linens looked clean. We were to adjust the temperature, which was easy to regulate, and I noticed the vent above the kitchenette area was very dirty with the slates coveted in dust. I am not sure if this was the cold air return or a kitchen vent but I am not sure I would prepare food in the area with air flowing through. The beef was comfortable enough. My wife asked if I had looked at the toilet lid. She said it was soiled so it had not been cleaned well. Between the toilet seat and the badly stained sofa I was not comfortable in the room but since it was a one night stay we decided to just leave in the morning without any plans to ever return to this hotel.
Me and my lady stayed here for over 2 weeks and we just had to write a review the staff went above and beyond helping us in what is a difficult time period in our lives. The one person that does stand out is a young lady by the name is Paola she was the friendliest and most helpful person there, she was also a very awesome human being, showing compassion and patience beyond reproach. We are very grateful for this young lady and will definitely be back just because of her.
