Would definitely stay again!

I honestly love this space. I came alone and it was the perfect size for me, myself and I lol. I was honestly surprised by how quiet the area was so sleeping at night wasn’t hard at all. One of the standout amenities for me was the gorgeous shower.You can tell that a lot of thought went into it. Bed was pretty comfortable as well. My minor complaints were that in the description it says there is a washer/ dryer but I didn’t see them available. Also the neighborhood is pretty crowded so it’s sometimes hard to find parking. But other than that I throughly enjoyed my stay!

Trying to get there

Stay was ok. We had to sweep the floors, there was no hand towels, a/c kept throwing lint on the floor, no closet to hang clothes, no hand soap, went to go buy our own. If all you wanna do is shower and sleep, itworkd.

Great little room!

Easy communication with management/owner. Perfect for solo travelers or couples. Spacious shower with double sink in bathroom. Only approximately 10 minutes away from French quarter via trolley. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Would stay again in future.

Newly renovated single room apartment and large bathroom. Easy walk to the nearby trolley station. Note that there is only a microwave, small sink, pod coffee machine, and mini fridge. Pack soap and coffee

No frills, but just fine

Nothing fancy about this place, but the price is right and it gets the job done. They don’t tell you that you have to pass through a dark uneven path along the side of the house to gain access to the vrbo, there are no towel racks or hooks in the bathroom, no coffee or sweeteners, and no place to put your clothes. The bed is not great either. Despite those things, it is clean, the bathroom is fresh and new, and the heating and lighting are adequate. We got pretty much what we expected for the price. The owner was pleasant and responsive when we interacted.

PERFECTION

Super clean and quiet property. Check in was very simple. Bed was comfortable, I absolutely love the fact there are cleaning supplies to clean behind yourself. I will be back to stay again.

Nice Place! DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING HERE!

This was a very nice place to stay. Very clean, close to the Steet Car, gas stations, convenience & liquor stores. The mattress needs to be replaced and there is nowhere to put your clothes. Communication was great, except for when I asked if I could ship a package to myself! We flew in for Essence on Spirit with a personal item only, and couldn't take everything we needed for the stay with us. I didn't get a response and we had to leave so I shipped the package USPS Priority (2 Day from my own USPS account with all of my info, business info and debit card info) using the check-in email. I was notified the package was delivered at 12:36pm or so, but when I got back to the room, package was not there. The neighbor picked it up, called the owner who came to get said package and didn't notify me! After several text messages, phone calls, and VRBO customer support, finally, he brought the box over! He informs me that he doesn't receive any mail at this location, and he didn't know WHAT I was shipping! It could be drugs! At this age, I'm not trying to start a life of crime, NOR bring sand to the beach! He could've let me know he got the package and had me go to the police station to pick it up if that was the case! Not drive around with our stuff!

We found previous guests hair everywhere, sheets, floor, bathroom, shower booth, you name it. Host did not reply on time. Not worth the money at all. Pay more and stay at a hotel.

nice small apartment with awesome terasse/garden

We enjoyed our stay - espacially because of the nice terasse. But also the apartment is just fine for two people. The bed is not the biggest but we knew beforehand so it wasn't a surprise. Everthing was clean and in good shape and the communication with the owner was perfect. Thank you :-)

Nicely updated studio, completely modern. The host was very responsive. Easy access to everything with a great breakfast at the Ruby Slipper within walking distance and Whole Foods a few blocks away. I would highly recommend this for a couple or single and would book again, we had a great stay.

Comfortable overnight accommodation

If you just need a comfy bed and a nice shower, this is a great deal. The location, bathroom and bed were all fantastic. These were the most important objectives for us. A block off canal street and easy walk to the trolley stop. It was everything we needed for our quick get away. A few additional touches would be nice, like lamps on the nightstands and hooks to hang our jackets, etc. since there is no closet nor dresser. There is a suitcase stand, a chair and bench, with basic tv and direct tv. There is also a kitchen sink and compact refrigerator. The door is through the gate and around the back of the house. Deck with chairs for sitting outside.

When we landed in New Orleans made contact and the gentleman got right back to us. Had an issue getting on wifi he got right back to us on that as well. No problems there. We actually liked the small quaint place. However the placement unevenness of the stepping stones to go to the back of the house really inconvenient and dangerous. Very bad lighting on side of the house after gate, even leaving the porch light on didn't help. After traveling all day we were tired and basically just went to bed. The next day after actually checking there was hair crumbs and dirt under the top sheet on the bed that wasn't very pleasing. For some reason and we couldn't figure it out we would sweep the floor and go out for awhile and when returning there was like pieces of stuff on the floor, we would sweep and it just kept showing up. Maybe out of the air conditioning or something. Very annoying. As far as the bathroom everything was great. The shower is amazing 2 shower heads great for a couples shower. Double sink was nice. Could definitely use a nice mat in front of shower. The neighborhood is run down, bad roads, really dirty. Did not feel threatened by it just an observation. Very nice for us, it was a place to sleep and shower after touring, eating and drinking all day. I think with a few little adjustments it would be amazing.

You're on your own.

First the good: the bed was comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet, the mini-split air conditioner cooled the room nicely, and the shower was nice with good pressure and hot water. The TV had DirectTV service, worked great. Fridge and microwave were functional. Parking was free, but around the corner because the street was full. Communication with host was close to nil, would have been nice for a greeting explaining how to find the door to the unit. No house address was given, except the initial booking email from VRBO. I arrived around midnight and wasn't sure I was at the right place, and my code didn't work on the first door I'd tried. (The door to my unit was in the back yard, behind a 6ft privacy fence) No indication that anything for me was back there. Got on my phone and double-checked the listing, and saw that the porch in the photos looked like it was in a back yard, so I went back and tried the gate, which was unlocked. Snooping around a house and trying gates like that around midnight - you're risking getting shot if you're wrong. The bed sheets the 1st night were old, discolored, and rough from the fibers breaking down and forming those little balls you get on the fabric surface. The host delivered new sheets the next day which were much better the 2nd night. The towels were rough, like they were the host's old set. I asked about the internet twice and got no reply - assume you'll use your own. Should be removed from the "amenities" part of the listing.

Well, you pay for what you get. I had trouble finding my place because two monster trucks were parked in the driveway, concealing the gate. I had no trouble at all but the neighborhood is concerning. It could just be, New Orleans. IDK The pics are accurate, It is secluded, behind the back of the house. It is a small secluded, bedroom and shower. The shower is great!

Great location! One block from Streetcar line

Great property. Overall it was a great stay. It could have been cleaner, I ended up just tidying the entire place before we left. It was in a convenient spot. One block from the streetcar. Comfy bed. I do wish there was a small bench or couch at the end of the bed to sit. We had to sit on the bed to eat which made me nervous! Great place if you are going to be out and about the entire time.

weeklong nola getaway

My partner and I stayed for a week here. The homeowner made us feel comfortable and safe upon arrival. I found the bed comfortable, but it is definitely on the firmer side. The WiFi given to us through the check in message was not on the list of available WiFi networks, but we didn't bother and used data since the signal was good - however, I would ask the next time. The other thing that was that we purchased some items to make our stay a little more user friendly since there was no hand soap or bath mat and we did not have enough towels for the week for both of us. Again, this wasn't a big issue for us but it would've be more convenient if these things were already in the Vrbo. We did leave those things there for the next guest's use since we were driving back to Florida. Overall, the stay was nice and we definitely enjoyed it and recommend this place to stay!

Great Stay

Perfect for a mini weekend stay. Property was very clean & located close to major sites. You do have to part along the street & my car ended up getting side swiped & I had to make a police report, so just be mindful when parking. Overall I enjoyed the home!
