It was an older property, but it was well-maintained and clean. I booked the room for $108 on Orbitz plus tax which brought it to just under $128. When I arrived they told me there was an $18.99 cleaning fee. I gladly paid this. Then on my credit card statement in addition to the $127.74 and the $18.99 the hotel charged me $150. I am disputing it with my credit card company. I’m very irritated.
I understand there is not air conditioning however They only give guest these little fans per room and during the day it is extremely hot. The TV was not working, I told the staff he explained he would fix it however when we came back it was still not working. I informed the receptionist at check out. They didn’t have an iron in the rooms like all hotels and one of the wash clothes had a stain on it. Good thing I brought an extra one from home. This hotel has the potential to be better if they are willing to make minor changes to accommodate the guest that pay to stay.
The location was great for what I needed. The woman who seemed to run the front was quite helpful with walking directions for shortcuts and areas to avoid. The room was quite simple. No AC but not really needed this close to the ocean. It's a historic building with modern room surfaces. There is an alley next to the first floor rooms that can be a bit disconcerting however, there are security panels on the windows. They could be opened from the inside in case of fire. No phone in room (but we have cell phones and can set a wake up call on our own phns. WiFi was solid. Will consider staying here again.
It was basic, bathroom could be bigger
Nice hotel, really good location !!
You couldn't ask for a friendlier staff who were all very accommodating and welcoming. It was very ideally located to walk to anything you need (ie restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, gym, and the beach). The only downside is not very many amenities if that's what you are looking for in a hotel. But if you can do without the pool/gym/coffee machine inside your room, a very cost effective and quaint little spot to stay. I would definitely stay again!
Walk to beach. Help from Hotel to find parking. Free WiFi no CNN
After we left the hotel they called us and said there were stains on the comforter, so we returned to the hotel. I was angry after they showed us 2 small stains, and 1larger old stain that looked very old. I said look lady then she cut me off and said don't call me lady. At this point I was very angry and saidI figured you were no lady but I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. She then called the police and said i had threatened her. When the police arrived one of the officers took me off to the side and said this is the third time this week they called them out to the hotel and that I shouldn't worry. ONE OF THE WORST STAYS I HAVE EVER HAD
I will recommend this grate hotel , and from now on this is my home away from Phoenix az, front desk girl super nice and cares about the guests,10 from me to her
no parking.had to pay $20..no microwave in the rooms
Greenleaf is an amazing value!! Amazing service, clean hotel, awesome location. This spot puts you close to the beach, several awesome bars, and restaurants. Note that the walls are thin and it’s easy to hear outside your room.
In great neighborhood. Family owned. Warm and personal. Not fancy but comfortable. Like the historic nature of building!
Very clean and friendly staff. No airconditioning or parking however.
Great location and staffs. The building is old but the rooms are renovated and somewhat new. Good deal. The only thing missing is the AC although it’s not unbearable in the night.
The woman who runs this hotel is amazing. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. I would stay here again and I even tried to extend my stay, but they were booked. It's a great hotel!!
Old world value: This hotel has what you need and nothing more. If you want a clean room, good internet, a desk with an outlet and a nice bed for a very value price. This is for you. if you want a coffee maker, pool, etc., is suggest you look elsewhere. The hotel is quite old and they have maintained the original dark wood in the hallways and doors. The rooms are clean and minimalist in decor. There are some oddities in the room due to the age of the design like an outlet 3ft over the desk height on the wall. The front desk people are very friendly and helpful. It is about a 10 minute walk to the convention center and maybe 15 to the pier restaurants.
Friendly! But the shower was only a "mist" that barely wet me and I could not shower. I was covered in soap and had to finish my shower from the faucet with a wash cloth. Also, I could not get the soap open.
You must be prepared for California, for extra time and money for parking and everything. You have to go down a little ally, Malta is an Ally and it is kitty korner from the bigger green and white architecture. It is right by Long Beach cafe, starbucks, beach (you have to go to Junipero), the fine arts center, kitty rice bowl. The shampoo smells good. Place smells good. I was lucky to get front corner with lots of windows. Staff is helpful and friendly. Parking is in a hotel down a little.

Thank you taking the time for your kind reviews. It was our pleasure to have you come stay with us. You are welcome back at anytime. Sorry for the little amenities we provide. Due to the pandemic all of our amenities had to be removed from the room such as hairdryers and fans.
Please tell us how we can do better. Please call us and we would like some feedback. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay but hopefully you will enjoy it even more next time

Does not sound like customer service from our end. Must be some type of confusion on the location you stayed in! However, I hope this is resolved for you as soon as possible. Stay safe and remember to wear your mask.

I want to first and foremost extend our apologies that you had during your stay. We appreciate that you enjoyed your stay, but I see that there was no mistake regarding the room payment. You had got charged for the room payment and the cleaning fee, and the deposit of $150, which was already refunded to you.
