Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Harbor Hotel

While the staff members were pleasant and helpful, they coulsn't hide the fact that this hotel is past its prime. Every inch has been given a cosmetic facelift, but most customers can see past that. Plug-ins in the room were not plentiful and out of good working order; windows were horribly dirty;the workout facility didn't have working A/C. Overall, this hotel is tired and old.

Excellent service and rooms, great beds, service and directions

Hotel and room were very nice. Bed was comfortable, large room and very clean. Restaurant downstairs with terribly slow service even though there were literally five parties in the restaurant. Food was awful and over priced as well

was able to go to battleship iowa & the naval museum, very interesting

We had two issues with our one night stay. The first is excusable, that the bathroom sink was falling through the basin. It's a maintenance issue and we reported it. I'm sure it'll be taken care of. The second was an issue with bill cramming. We ordered room service for a $18 salad and it turned into a $38 bill. When we brought it to their attention, they told us to talk to the front desk. The front desk told us that we should have dealt with it when the food was delivered. What actually happened was they added $8.24 of bogus charges that were not advertised. When we spoke to their management, their management wanted to take away the tip that we wrote to their workers. It's inexcusable to take tips away from your workers! When we couldn't come up to a solution, we walked away from the hotel and filed a dispute with our credit card company. The credit card company found fault with the hotel and resolved this in our favor. We only disputed $8.24 and this was far too much work for $8.24.

Convenient to the Catalina Espress, lovely room and a very good restaurant in which we upgraded for 10.00 more to enjoy their breakfast buffet.

Hotel is being renovated. The smell of paint fills the room through the ventilation. Fitness center is a joke with one elliptical-broken - and two of four weight machines broken. My room wasn't vacuumed. Bathroom could have been cleaner. I went to the restaurant and they took twenty minutes to bring a slice of cold Apple pie to go.

Stayed here for a wedding in the area. Nice staff, adequately clean rooms. Bartenders were great.

I was passing through for work and for the price and quality of the hotel I don't know that there is anything better in the area. I was very pleased with the experience I had at the hotel.

it was in a great location but the hotel itself was really standard and the rooms were very plan.

Location is the best. Easy access. Walking distance to many nice attractions. Decent part of the neighborhood. A few blocks away at the CVS there were some bums aggressively begging for money when not talking on their cell phones and smoking cigarettes (can't afford food, but can afford cigarettes and cell phones#. Staff was excellent. Cleaning staff was honest: we left laptop computers and a tablet in our room without incident #not recommended#. The hotel itself is not perfectly maintained. Some minor scratch graffiti in the elevators, sound of metal when the elevator reaches the first floor, little issues here and there. Construction of the hotel is strange: the floors and ceilings are not flat or level. No cracks in walls to indicate a dangerous situation - probably just a rush during construction. The room was fairly comfortable. Sheets extremely clean - perfectly white. Some dust at the exhaust vent. Pillows were fluffy when we went to bed but got very flat by morning. Air conditioner made some noise, so we just left it turned off at night since the weather was so moderate and the bedding was warm. Great view of the USS Iowa and the busy LA port. We rented 2 rooms and got connecting rooms - nice of them to accommodate #staff is really quite good). Not perfect, but good and safe. Excellent value. Would stay here again.

We stayed on the 9th floor for 4 nights. A lovely, well-appointed room with a comfortable bed, high-end bedding, roomy and had a wonderful view of the harbor and the hills. I could see sunset and sunrise, as well as the pool and whirlpool below. There was no water pressure the first morning we were there, but staff quickly came to set it right. Parking spaces in the underground were filled early the 2nd night we were there, but we managed. The gate into the lot is not manned nor locked, and that is something to be considered. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Breakfast on the check-out morning was tasty, staff were friendly and eager to provide service. All areas of the hotel were super-clean.You can't ask for more than that. RDL,HSL from Toronto, Canada.

It is a 3 stars hotel with a 4+ stars price. It is not business friendly as expected

Staff was very friendly. Parking and internet are free. Breakfast was not included. Location was good and close to the fish market. The only thing bad was you could hear everything from your neighbor.

It was the perfect, local getaway for us. We enjoyed a fun evening out in San Pedro with friends, and then relaxed in the cozy hotel room, and enjoyed the pool the following morning. Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms, and lovely staff.

Very pleased with the location, staff, amenities. Highly recommend.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations from check-in to check-out. It's a beautiful place inside and out elegantly appointed from the public areas to the rooms. I was particularly surprised considering the economical price of the room. You get much more bang for your buck here, for sure! We did not have time to enjoy their gorgeous pool and spa but we would have liked to. That looked inviting, too. Also, my fiance and I decided to have breakfast in their restaurant. Good idea! The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent. Both of us enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet. We grabbed a couple of chocolate chip cookies at the check out counter and they left us with yet another smile. Good stuff! This place is a winner!

Room was comfy & clean. Staff was funny & ready to serve.

I went to San Pedro to visit my daughter and booked at the crown because she lives at the Vue one block away and that was nice as we were in and out doing lots of activities. My stay was good, they have comfortable beds and the rooms were clean and cleaned nice every day I was there. I would eat the fresh fruit plate they have for breakfast but not the buffet. I never ate lunch or dinner but the bar was nice for the end of the evening to wind down though it was little exspensive. Over all it was average. I am going there again in Aug to visit again and will be staying there again.

The staff was great and the rooms were very clean. Don't use the restaurant unless you have a couple of hours to kill. We had dinner the night we came in ordering only salads. We were there two hours and it wasn't because it was busy. Others around us were also clearly becoming impatient with the service. We tried the next morning for breakfast thinking it would might be better but it was still poor poor service!
