My daughter and her boyfriend checked in late like 11pm, ringing the front desk doorbell for 10 minutes. Got in their room, no towels. Ring the bell again, no answer. There should be an awake front desk person.

I was skeptical at first but when I walked into my room I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite large and very clean. Only bad thing was my TV did not work. Other than that it was great and the lady up front was super nice.

As it may have it's perks to its local it should be maintained a bit more. The ac vent in room 218 had a very weird smell to it thank goodness I carry Lysol just sprayed directly in vent and problem solved. The pool and hot tub was a nice extra perk. The motors in the hot tub worked as long as you switched it on this too should be replaced as the hot tub seems out dated.

Let me start off by saying the staff was nice. We stayed two nights and my husband woke up the last morning with bites all over his arm, legs and back. He noticed there were spiders living on the bathroom ceiling. Naturally we thought he had spider bites. After a trip to the doctor we were told they were bed bug bites. I was horrified to hear that and very lucky none came home with us. Needless to say we will never stay there again.

Good room for our stay. We enjoyed it there and would definitely recommend it.

It was fine. In past experiences it has been difficult to find someone at the front desk. Not this time around.

Hotel has undergone some remodelling over the past year Its fresher than it used to be.The standard of work is not the best but its passable. With the price and the location you can't really do better. Its a fifteen minute walk to Manhattan Beach with all its bars and restaurants.Breakfast is pretty basic but does the job.Would stay again

Close to beach but not the nicest. The price was good but would have spent more to stay in better. Probably would not stay here again.

Great staff , great value close to beach and easy access to LAX

No person available for check-in; had to wait for more than 10 minutes.

No frills, convenient location, clean room, comfortable bed- Staff let me check in early (huge help), free shuttle to LAX-

Remodel not complete. Should not rent out until done. Ants! TV did not work. Bathroom door did not work. Old coffee pot. Lights in ceiling too bright---should also have low-light lamps available next to bed. Colors of rug, walls horrible combination. No bedspread. No "curb" appeal! Shoddy work.

The hotel was a few blocks away from the beach. Parking was not an issue, beds in hotel were not the best but still gave enough comfort. Room was very spacious. Large pool with child safety gate was a plus. Small hot tub but worked great. Ice machine wasn't always working. There was only one washer and dryer and it took forever to dry laundry.

We got a very spacious 1 bed room, 3 queen beds for our family of 5. Nice hotel staffs. Good location consideribg you have car, within minutes to get to beach, shopping, highway. Hotel have laundry facility.

It would have been nice to have been told the work was being carried out on the pool. The first morning I was woken at 7.30 by the sound of drilling and hammering.I asked if I could be moved, but was told that their was no other rooms. The girls at reception were sympathetic but said they would get the manager to speak to me,maybe about discount for tolerating the noise.Needless to say the manager never contacted me.I have stayed here on many ocasions but this will be the last. Thanks for ruining my quiet vacation

Continental breakfast was stale. Obviously sitting longer than it should. Breakfast was disappointing. Towels, soap, and shampoo costs were unexpected. Rooms were clean. Overall, disappointing to get knicked on standard items.

Television is puny, circuit would break if you plug in the blow dryer, the water only get warm never hot and the towels are extremely thin.

Some features of the room were renovated. Nice beds and very nice bathroom. Had more of a motel feel, though. The doors are super old and had paint falling off, my bathroom door handle was broken. Paper thin walls, so you can hear everything going on outside and in surrounding rooms. The housekeeper cleaned our room, but then obviously used it. There was a scrunchie in our bed and she had used our coffee maker to make rice and left it dirty with dried up rice in the bottom.

I like this place, it has a very private eloquence about it. The place was quiet and very clean with updated decor. The staff is laid back with simple procedures for a smooth check in & out. Not far from the freeway & very close to shops, restaurants & the mall. Not to mention the beach is just a hop skip & jump away.

The motel room was excellent. The service was not. Prior to arrival, I emailed the hotel about the courtesy van and how to make the connection. The response gave instructions indicating the van was available from 6 am until 5 pm. When we arrived, I called following the instructions and was told the van was not available. We took a cab to the hotel for $32. When we arrived at the hotel, I asked about the van and was told it is available only from 6 am until noon. When asked why the email gave the wrong information, the response was the change was made a week ago. The email was not a week old. The van was available for our trip back to the airport. So, for the price, the hotel is excellent unless you are depending on airport transportation. My response was to cancel my reservation for the return trip and will not use this hotel in the future.
