From the moment we arrived, everything was just great. The hotel lobby was spacious, quiet and well appointed. The staff were friendly and efficient and willing to go the extra mile without fuss. The room and bathroom were well appointed and everything worked. When we had questions, the staff were very helpful and assisted in any way they could. The restaurant experience was excellent - good prices, authentic and lovely service and again, nothing was too much trouble.
On first impression at arrival the reception area is very nice, the staff were really good. We stayed on Friday while we attended an event at the O2, short walk from East India DLR station, it’s an ok walk in day light but not one I would do useless it was light. We stayed in room 207 and was quite disappointed with the room, terrible view but was not to bothered about the view to be honest. The room was really small and the carpet needs a clean as there were quite a few stains on it, the beds were just white quilt covers not any of the dressing as seen on the hotel photos, the room was dull and quite depressing. The face clothes in the bathroom, well one was almost white and the other one a washed out grey, clearly seen better days. Quite misleading as it states we had a ‘superior’ room, not sure what part was superior as it was very basic. I would say that the room just about reached 3 stars, and the lower end of 3 stars. On the Saturday morning I went outside as I am a smoker, there are a couple of paths that have some benches, by one of these benches there was empanadas cola bottles, several condom wrappers and quite a bit of rubbish, not a good impression on hotel grounds for a 4 star hotel. I would not stay there again.
I went to this hotel for a night stay on sat and i must say on my arrival i was not happy to be told my room was not paid for but turn out to be a simple mistake.had another mix up in the restaurant all of this within an hour of arrival so at the back of my mind it was ok this is how my stay is gonna be lol.i must sat issue i had then became a laugh as it was laugh or cry.but the staff was very helpful friendly and nicethe place is beautifull.i dealth with michaela at reception who was very helpful and as our day or night came to a end we went to the bar and the three guys in the bar was amazing hence we had tooo many cocktails lol.suna area was beautifull and loveable.i would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay. We took dlr to east india dlr station and it was few mins walk from there so not far.thank you to michaela the guys at the bar and all the other staff we had a lovely time.
This hotel is stylish and clean. All the staff are very attentive. We were helped by Adam Lambert the guessed relations manager. He upgraded our room to a river view deluxe, with a huge comfortable bed, then he returned with birthday treat for me, which was delicious. Thank you. The room was large and spotless. There was everything needed for a comfortable stay. The food was delicious, even though it let to three minor negatives, which were all resolved. Egg shell in my husband's gamon and egg meal, resolved with the offer of a free drink in the evening, after our Sam Smith concert. We accepted the offer, which lead to the second negative. This drink was added to our final bill, again resolved after an explanation from me. The third point is, this hotel is not easy to get to on public transport. The cost of £22 in a cab is not good. There was no other option, unless you wanted a 1 hour 50 minute walk. I chose this hotel after reading that booking.com said it was close to the O2. Maybe as the crow flys? I would definitely recommend this hotel for comfort, cleanliness and staff effiency and attentive attitude.
Charged £110 for absolutely no reason. Bill is not itemised and they are refusing to sort it. There billing department are no help in getting it sorted out, just sending more and more uninformative bills with no apology.
Great hotel with excellent rooms & facilities but it's really the staff that made it such a nice place to stay - they couldn't make you feel more at home and always had time to put a smile on the kids faces. Thoroughly recommend it.
This hotel is located near the Canary Wharf business district and they provide a one-stop shuttle to Canada Square every 15 minutes; Uber would cost around GBP 5-6 while the nearest tube station is a bit of a walk across the highway. Full English breakfast is served daily which I like, and the dining area faces a nice river view. The menu is not as extensive with other international food choices, but there’s a mini mart close by. Hotel employees are very helpful and courteous.
My Partner Emily, booked us to stay in the Radisson Blu, for a weekend as we were visiting the O2 to see Fall Out Boy. We used public transport to get to the hotel, which from Blackwall DLR, can be a bit confusing, however if you follow Google maps you'll be fine. The hotel appears to be in the middle of a residential area, with high rise flats, no so much of an issue as it is right on the River looking across at the O2 arena. From the moment you enter the Hotel, you see a greater, who guides you to right desk. We sat down at Guest services and were greeted and checked in by a lovely guy called Adam. He was very friendly, very professional and explained the ins and outs clearly and precisely. We were offered a beverage but declined. The lobby is large, modern, fresh and clean. To the right of the entrance is the bar and restaurant, humorously named Scoff and Banter. We were given our room key and directed to the room. We were offered help with our bags but declined as they were only small. The room itself was a business class room, large, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, maintained and had all the relevant amenities including a bath tub and separate shower. The room had a very nice TV, a large bed, robes, slippers, mini bar, nice view of the O2 and temperature controls, easy to operate. We were both very pleased with the room, and the service! We were given £15 per day for any food or drinks we required, and had breakfast included on both mornings. We ordered room service the first afternoon, which when it arrived was delicious! The waiter was very pleasant and although it took a little longer than we would have liked, it was apparent the food was freshly prepared. Breakfast both mornings, was a delight, i have included a picture from the terrace in the restaurant of the O2, which is a nice view in the mornings if you don't often see the O2 or are seeing it for the first-time. The staff were very helpful, very pleasant, always smiling, happy to have a chat, the food was hot, fresh, tasty and of a wide variety. You have to try the croissants as they are without a doubt some of the best I've ever eaten. Check out was smooth, quick, painfree and your itemised bill is confirmed verbally, as you can check it on your account on your phone. My only gripe is that verbal confirmation may make it awkward for some customers and therefore a printout and asking the customer to read and sign may allow the privacy and also confirm the fees associated. Our whole experience with the Radisson Blu, is one of the best I've ever experienced. I've stayed in various hotels and chains in the UK and abroad, and I will definitely remember this Hotel, and actively look to return. Well done Radisson Blu and all your staff for your outstanding levels of service, customer care and attention to detail. P.s if you're a sweet lover, there's a sweet cart in the lobby next to the main reception desk... It's the little touches that make the sweetest memories.
Turned up and staff greeted us straight away and were very friendly, got free over night parking with the spa package I bought. Valet service also. Very safe, need a key card to use the lift and get to certain floors (not the spa). We also had a complimentary upgrade on our room. Free bottles of water. Had a lovely big bath in our room. Bed was huge! Downside was that the view out the windows was onto a building site. Wanted a lie in as it’s a holiday for me and got woken up at 7:30am hearing building works go on. However, said something to the woman at the desk and as a kind gesture she cancelled my mini bar charges. Iron, trouser press and hair dryer there to use. Also a big 40+ inch tv. Lovely place, 1 hour massage was lovely!! No pool though.
A group of seven of us stayed at this hotel following a family wedding. The service we received, especially from Adam at reception was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble. The valet parking works well, especially as parking anywhere else would have been a nightmare. Breakfast was good, with a wide range of choices. The rooms were comfortable and well priced for such a convenient location. Cannot rate it highly enough. The staff went above and beyond and such a high level of service is to be congratulated.
