In my past I have been a brand standard leader and representative for the large and known hotel group. As someone who had worked for over 5 years within hospitality business and as someone who was in position to train others you develop a constant awareness to small things that are not up to the standard, however, not on this occasion. The level of standard in this hotel was exceptional and the team working there is the reason for it. There are always things that may go wrong, however, when these things are treated as a challenge rather than a problem - the result will always be a success. The moment we walked through the door, concierge welcomed us with a smile and offered to help us with our heavy luggage and some very tasty fruity water that was just what we needed after a long morning of travel. Receptionist took her time to explain all the facilities and ensured that our two separate bookings will not cause hasle. All the staff in this hotel were so warm and welcoming which is all that sometimes is required. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing - my compliments to the Chef - one of the best stake I've had in a long time. This hotel is all about small details and personal approach, from the small card on the desk in our room to note who is cleaning our room and how to contact this person to the point that we were remembered following morning in the restaurant when we returned for our breakfast. Special thank you for Guest Relations Manager Daniela Ivan, thank you for helping us and for making our stay special by going the extra mile. I have now booked a return stay to this hotel to enjoy it once more and take the advantage of the spa facilities they offer. I highly recommend this hotel and would hope that the management recognises what a great team they have built.
Check in, was very quick because we did it online before arrival, and they approached us very quickly to help us, which was good. Rooms, we had a very nice twin room with a spacious bathroom and very well lit. The pillows I did find very hot, as my head was very warm when lying on it to go to sleep. I don't usually have any problems with pillows in hotels, so I'm not sure what is the filling in the pillows etc. Location, it was a five minute walk from the blackwall O/G line, and it was right on the water opposite the O2 arena. Breakfast, this left a lot to be desired, in regards to the front of house staff, they were very good and helpful and polite. In regards to the food it was not good, the mushrooms were overdone and were very tough and greasy, the scrambled egg was swimming in butter, the fried eggs I asked for were like bullets and inedible after waiting 10 mins for them. Not a very wide selection of fish on the buffet table, just salmon. All in all it was a plate full of grease. Great hotel and front of house staff, but food should be upgraded.
Clean rooms. Excellent staff. Should mention names of Kristina & Wadia from restaurant, Vinaben & Angela of room service, Maria & Orietta of Health center, Laila and Richard of front office. Overall a good 4 weeks stay with good care and friendly staff.
The Radisson Blu Edwardian is a lovely hotel located on the riverbank in Canary Wharf. I booked this hotel as a surprise 30th Birthday present for my fiance as we were going to watch Micky Flanagan at the o2 which isn't far from there and made more sense. We got an uber from the hotel to the o2 which was about £8 and took less than 10 minutes. There is valet parking upon arrival which costs £18 per night. We were checked in earlier as I had emailed prior to arrival to request this so we could enjoy the spa and have afternoon tea to make the most of the day and hotel. The afternoon tea is £24 per person or £30 per person if you require Prosecco. I booked my fiance a 45 min hot stone massage which costs £60, there is a steam room/ sauna and three different showers and relaxing heated chairs. The only let down for this hotel is that they do not have a pool. I upgraded to the King room with a river view and it was a very spacious comfortable room with a bath near the window with a view of the thames and the o2. They offer a £15 voucher to use for dinner and/or drinks at the bar and free WiFi. They have two bottles of complimentary water and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was included in our booking and had a variety of options, the staff were very helpful and did some nice little extras like balloons and a card for my fiance and a cake saying happy Birthday at afternoon tea. They made our stay very enjoyable and I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
Great Service, Nice comfy beds and clean rooms and good facilities. Good Location too. Spa was clean and relaxing. Breakfast bags were a nice touch for my team checking out early in the morning. Will Return again.
We stayed at the hotel for just one night as a stopover from travelling into London by train, then flying out from London City Airport early the following morning. The location is ideal as it is easy to access from Canary Wharf by DLR and on foot, easy to get back into the centre of London and very easy to get to the airport. Room was very comfortable and spacious, food in the Scoff & Banter was excellent and service throughout couldn't be faulted. Will definitely use again.
Very Good in all aspects. Very receiving and caring. Service was excellent in all areas. Good Shuttle service. Breakfast arrangements are extradinory. Cleaning staff were very approachable and helpfull.
Stayed over for a concert at the O2. It's a really nice hotel, beds are better than Lenny Henry's, but there are two issues: 1. Driving into the site was horrendous. Valet parking once you get in but we spent 45 minutes in a holding layby. 2. Despite being able to see the O2 Dome (400m over the river), it was a £20 taxi ride. Imagine trying to get back by taxi after a full O2 kicked out! An hour in the taxi rank, but we got back eventually. So, lovely hotel, if you're coming for anything other than a concert it should be fine. If that's your prime reason get somewhere on the Jubilee Line!
Arrived at what I was say is organised chaos outside. Access to the hotel isn't great guys and it doesn't make the most of its location. Once you are there you can go anywhere for lunch or a drink you are stuck there. They charge you 12.5% service charge when you are just sat at the bar. I found the service slow and woeful at times. Will not return, dificuly access to O2 area. Good room but not worth it in my opinion. Intercontinental was our previous stay it will be our next for o2 for sure
I have spent this morning and afternoon at East River Spa. I need to say that was amazing experience right from the beginning to the end. At first I was great by lady at reception (blond Polish) im sorry i forgot the name. She was great she show me a place and explain everything. Then I have my time at steam room and sauna, relaxing room that was awesome. And than I had my massage and nails done by very amazing and super experience Orietta - wow that lady she really knows what she is doing plus i had very pleasant conversation with her when she was doing my nails. I feelt super relaxed and beautiful, Staff was amazing, I also would like to thank you another blond Polish Lady who was in charge of keeping place tidy , she was very nice and helpful. Guys if u like to have amazing day at spa I recommend them and Orietta for massage amazing!! Also food and staff at restaurant super nice!
