Travelers BEWARE! Everyone knows some folks are disgruntled and write up poor reviews for no reason. This one is totally justified. I checked into this hotel and went to me room. The moment I walked in the room smelled like a sewer main. I immediately called the front desk and they’re resolution was turning on the hot water for 5 mins and spraying the shower with deodorizer. I asked for a diff room but did have one. My only resolution was to deal with it. Said to check back in morning. No room but foul smell present. 2 days of foul smell and I actually paid $372 to experience the smell. Got early flight home so left early before GM arrived (Andreas). Left front desk to have to contact me. Have left 2 emails to him and NO response whatsoever. Then called Orbitz and they claimed they reached out and the hotel states they honor the original cancellation and refund denied even though both employees smelled the same problem I did. You’ve been forewarned. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Only thing positive was Elena one of the waitresses extremely nice and should great customer service and secondly it was close to Paddington. I will attempt to reach out to Stylotel corporate. Just got off the phone with Orbitz and they’re offereing me $75 after paying $372 not to mention over $2500 in all the reservations I made with them for my European vacation. I would NOT recommend booking through Orbitz as well and go directly through hotel themselves.
Very dated rooms, tiny bathrooms smaller than a cruise ship bathroom. Everything very warned out in the room. No hand or wash towels. Very unfriendly young man at the front desk in the evening shift. I would definitely not recommend.
Nice place with easy access to tube line. Manager very helpful.
Very uniquely styled hotel and rooms. Typical small European rooms. Creative use of mirrors and lighting. My room was what I would consider very tight. Perhaps that particular room should be booked for a single instead of a couple but for shower and sleeping it fit the bill. Location was excellent, minutes to the main trains @ Paddington station as well as two hop on/off busses. Plenty of pubs and restaurants within east walking distance as well. Would do again and the included breakfast was a plus.
The property is 2 min from the Tube. The front desk person that greeted us the first night was extremely friendly and kind. The third person's bed was breaking every time you sit/lay on it. The size of the room is too small for three adults and their 6 suitcases. The amenities are very old.
Loved the location, staff was friendly, and room was clean. Hated the tiny bathroom. I'm 5'5" (1.63m), the plastic curtain was touching my leg, and I couldn't wash my hair without hitting my elbows on the sides
