The Neighborhood:
Tooting is a famous area for restaurants, especially curry. There are several outstanding restaurants within a 2 minute walk of the flat - Kaosarn (Thai), Bobochacha (pan-Asian), Apollo Banana Leaf, Kothu, Jaffna House (all Sri Lankan), The Little Taperia (Spanish), Mimo’s Lounge (Lebanese) and my personal favourite, Radha Krishna Bhavan (Indian). And that’s before you even get to the two bustling food markets, Tooting Market and Broadway Market, and the rest of the “land of the curry mile”.
There are several great pubs as well; The Castle, The Manor, Trafalgar Arms, as well as several excellent gin/wine/cocktail bars in the two markets.
Tooting is also famous for its lido; the first of its kind opened to the public in 1906 and is the largest open-air freshwater pool in the UK.
Getting Around:
The property is conveniently located within easy reach of public transport options, ensuring a hassle-free commute. The nearest tube station, Tooting Broadway on the Northern Line, is just a 5-minute walk away.
