This is a beautiful old hotel. The single room was tiny with a small stand-up shower, however, it was clean, hotel reception service was helpful and the breakfast buffet was lovely. No complaints.

This is a beautiful old building w lots of character. As such it has some idiosyncrasies you should be ready for. Though the guide in your room says “just call the front desk for complimentary ice delivery” when I was at the front desk (during business hours) and asked for some, staff looked perplexed and said “the bar is closed” even if we turned the machine on now, it would take a long time.” The AC stopped working in my room. The front desk staff said “I’ll have maintanance check it right away”. When I asked the same staffer in person about it he looked confused and said he would check. When I asked an hour later, a different staffer made a call, said they hadn’t been working on it but would now. Beware staff telling you something is happening, because it may not be. When I checked out after nearly a week long stay staff simply said “everything is paid for”. Not, “How was everything, thank you for staying w us, do you need any assistance w bags or transport.” I did have good luck w one staffer who agreed to check me into a different room on arrival, given the basement room I originally was assigned was below street level and had a staircase leading directly from the street to the window of my room. Windows in old buildings don’t lend themselves to working secure locks. There was a thin interior window installed I gather for safely, but it was open, wouldn’t stay closed, and had no lock. When I called the front desk, we got cut off and the phone was dead on call back

Literally the worst room I have ever stayed in. Tiny room. Tiny double bed, mattress covered with plastic that crinkled when you moved, synthetic tiny pillows, tiny sink with no plug, Below ground, window looking at a wall about 1 metre away, the whole place felt grubby, coffee undrinkable, scrambled egg tasteless and cold. Need I go on….

I rated this hotel a 1 out of 5 due to several disappointing aspects of the service. Despite being a boutique hotel, the customer service was severely lacking. The staff were rude and unhelpful, failing to exhibit the warmth and attentiveness expected in the hospitality industry. We requested an extra pillow and sheet due to a guest’s health condition and were told there were not enough supplies. This is unacceptable as hotels should always have sufficient linens and continuously clean them. Moreover, while the included breakfast was good, there were no additional food or beverage services available throughout the day. The lack of room service, food, and drink options made it difficult to even obtain a bottle of water. Overall, the poor customer service and limited amenities make it hard to recommend this hotel.

Great location for summertime at Hyde park
Hotel was extremely busy due to nearby festival in Hyde park (reason we chose that hotel), we arrived about 30 minutes early to check in, we were checked in, told to return at 3pm to be allocated a room! Queue out of the door at 3pm, took about 20 mins to get a room key - i understand this was due to popularity because of The Hyde park festival. Not a criticism, more awareness for future years, dates Would definitely stay there again, great location & value for money

Lovely property in a great location for transport around London, only a 2 min walk to Bayswater tube station, only down point for us was the room, it was very small, and the bathroom even smaller. Staff were great and the breakfast was great as well, i would stay here again only i would definitely ask for a larger room.
