Leisure Inn Hotel2.0 out of 5.0

Visited the leisure inn for a three day trip with family. This hotel is not fit to be open. There is numerous building work going on, with carpets torn, plaster on the floor and holes in walls. We were put in a basement room were we could hear builders working, the kitchen staff at 6:30 in the morning and the lift going up and down all night. See pictures of our room attached which was dirty, a horrific view out of the window and a plug socket hanging out the wall. I stayed in a family room so you would think they would at least make it safe. Shocking hotel with staff who lack customer service skills. Breakfast is pointless, there is a lack of tables available, so if you aren’t there early you can’t sit down. In fact it’s not worth eating anyway since the choice offered is either Coco Pops/cornflakes an egg or cold toast or possibly tinned fruit that looks like it’s been there for ages. Stay clear of this place, it’s cheap for a reason. Pay a bit extra as this is one of the worst hotels in London.
I can recommend this hotel for a quick in and out, its easy to find either from the underground (5 min walk) or from the bus stops (2 min walk), the hotel it self when you walk in is nothing special and the carpets leading to rooms are abit outdated but they are decorating the place so i'm sure they will get there in the end. The room it self (301 in my case) was perfectly fine was modern, lovely bathroom small but everything I needed. The bed was sooo cumfy!! best bed I've had in a hotel in a while. When in the room It can be quite noisy with people banging doors etc as they come up the stairs and into the corridor, etc but the hotel can't help that. TV was small but if your only in for a flying visit then that's fine. I don't sleep partically well as I work nights so I came down into the lobby at around 3am? and left my girlfriend to sleep to find the night porter asleep on the desk which questions the security of the place I sat there for a few hours and then asked for some tea bags, etc before i went up and got no words and got the feeling he didn't appreciate me being there. The breakfast is located in the basement and for the price I paid for the room £38 on a friday! hotels.com with discount code I cant complain, all you can eat continental it had a good selection of jams, choc spread, etc for the toast and a good selection of cereals. I'd happily stay here if I'm in London again :)
We stayed for two days in London. The hotel is ideal for those who want to explore the city. It's location is really good for people who travel a lot underground, but there is no variety for breakfast (included in price). Additionally, you can sleep quietly because there is no traffic in the area.
I had considered the current reviews on trip advisor before booking and decided to give it ago again after a number of years away. On arrival the staff member on reception was very helpful on all fronts. I was fortunate to experience one of the rooms on the 4th floor that had been update to a good standard with new everything. The highlight was the bathroom with all new spec everything including a spacious shower - massively improved on my last experience. Be mindful the walls on this floor are thin so you can hear your neighbours if they are loud - only a little bit of noise about 10 and then everything settled down. The bed was a major improvement on my last experience however I had to sleep the other way around to get away from the cold draft from the window - secondary internal glazing needed (minus temps during my stay) and there was also an issue with the heating in the room which I am sure was a glitch to be sorted (not being experienced in other bedrooms speaking to associate of mine staying at the same time) - flagged in the morning and I am sure they will sort for next time. The bedroom had new carpet however the hallway carpet was in need of a good vacuum/replacement although given the update work being undertaken I suspect the cleaner has a full time job trying to keep on top of the bits on the mainly red carpet - I guess they will replace hallway carpet once they have finished all the updates. Lift is a little old and clanky however with a little patience it arrives at your floor. Breakfast is basic and adequate in the basement. I also understand they are planning to move the breakfast room to the from in due course for better light and access to the outside in the summer - sounds like a good plan to improve the breakfast experience. WiFi is £5/day so quite expensive so I elected to using the free WiFi in the main reception. Lets hope they provide complimentary WiFi in the near future to keep up with the majority of the London hotels I experience. I would use the hotel again given the updates being undertaken and maybe next time it will be a very good rating.
I needed a hotel to stay in for business overnight whilst in London, and the Leisure Inn looked good to me - it had nice looking refurbed room, so this is what I was expecting. However on arrival I was told the room that I'd booked was having building works done to it and I had been allocated a room in a completely different hotel the other side of Bayswater. I had only booked the room the day before so they surely would have known this ...I would have rather they had called to let me know so I could have booked my own room somewhere else of my choosing. Another couple who came in after me were also told the same information - and they had booked their room weeks before. The member of staff on reception, wasn't rude, but he also wasn't very polite either, or apologetic that they didn't have a room for me. We were then sent to a rather shoddy hotel called the Palace Court Hotel - which I can say wasn't a palace and hardly a hotel. Although I never spent a night in the Leisure Inn Hotel I can only rate them on the service I received and that was poor. I quite regularly need a hotel in London but I will never book here again - or the Palace Court Hotel.
We came here for a few days as a couple the room was on third floor when we got in our room it was very very small you could hardly walk round the bed and no where really to put your clothes they had a small wardroom but no where to put things u don't hang up ie like underware ,etc bathroom was nice with a walk in shower but the water was only Luke warm all the time we were there no chair honstly only like a box room breakfast was ok toast cereal and tea and coffee and jam marmalade and peanut butter so only a light bite . Depends really of what room u get some may be small some may be bigger I don't know as only seen ours room was cleaned every day but something's were missed and may have to take a bit more care
Not very good, the customer service wasn’t the best, and it seemed old and little tended to. The room was small, and their definition of a twin bed was two single beds with two inches of space between. Didn’t even try the breakfast, it didn’t look very inviting. A bit of a distance to walk to the underground, but the area was okay. There is a nice bakery to have breakfast at close by. And the bathroom was nice.
The hotel is located 5 mins from Bayswater Station. The room is very clean and spacious and we were greeted by a friendly Syrian staff that has been very helpful and accomodating towards our booking. Thank you. Highly recommended to stay in this decent hotel
Nothing like advertised photos. Dirty. Minimal Breakfast. Unfriendly staff (when any are around, usually empty and therefore not very secure). Walls rattle with banged doors keeping us awake until late into the morning. No staff t deal with rowdy party. Got bug bites from mattress. Tried to call this hotel to offer feedback and the hotel is not contactable on the advertised telephone number. All very dodgy. Book at your peril.
The leisure inn has a beautiful exterior and very friendly receptionist. We were able to drop or bags off for the day which was great as our flight got in at 6am. The hotel is close to underground stops and hop-on hop-off bus services. The rooms were small with a few small issues like the shower leaking etc but for the price there is nothing to complain about! Would return if I was coming back to London!
