I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location to the subway was a quick 2 minute walk which is nice after a long day of walking and you just want to be "home". The staff was friendly and offered suggestions for things to do as well as places to eat. The room was small which was expected but would be nice to know up front that a King Bed is actually an European King which is basically a Queen size bed for Americans. My husband is tall so bed choice for him was a little disappointing. The AC worked great. The bath is nice but getting into and out of the tub is a challenge so if you have ANY mobility issues make sure to get an accessible room. Overall, the pro's far out weigh the con's and I would have no issue staying here again while in London.

It was locate in a great location. Next to the subway.

Positives: walking distance to High street Kensington tube station and high street; Starbucks on location in the lobby; spacious lobby; apologetic staff Negatives: tiny congested room even for a single person; advertised as one King bed but it's actually 2 mattresses; have to pay extra per entry per person to access pool; room access keys didn't work and had to be replaced thrice for us. Would not recommend highly, will give it a 2/5 stars.

The location, people and facility were what I expected and more! Room was small, but we were too busy touring for room size to really matter.

This was my second week long stay at Holiday Inn Kensington. I ordered an Executive room (at an Executive price) this stay with high expectations. Upon arrival at hotel, an hour before check in time, I checked in and was told the room would be ready at 3:00pm. The check-in staff were well trained and cordial. It was nearly 5:00pm before the room became available. Once I gained entry into the room I could very clearly hear the whining, loud, children in the room next to me. (My room had a connecting door to the Standard room next door. Was that why?) I did not complain to the front desk, though. I heard them their entire stay (3 more days, ugh!). The plaque in the hall with my room number showed it was an Executive room. I looked at the other room number plaques in the same hallway and they were not designated, so I'm guessing is they were Standard rooms. The bed was comfy and room well designed. One day I got up late and heard housekeeping outside my door (9:30am). I opened the door to tell the housekeeper I'd be in my room for an hour and then leaving for the day. Housekeeper spoke no English, so message not understood. When I returned at 3:30, the room had not been touched. The housekeeper came in at nearly 4:00 and cleaned the room while I was in there. The person taking room service orders seemed grouchy. I asked for ketchup, he said it comes with the Fish n Chips. When the attendant delivered my meal, no ketchup. Had to ask attendant to get some.

Pillow : ) Bathroom :/ Room size :( Far too small for price per night. Quietness :( Doors and walls paper thin. Could hear everything throughout night and especially in AM/housekeeping Pool :( Nothing to say this COSTS EXTRA. Disappointing. This was the main reason w chose this hotel. I have never had to pay to use a hotel pool in my life. We didn't. Common Areas :( Nicer than rooms! This is what you see in the online photos and it looks great! Rooms are NOT this spacious and NOT as comfortable as sitting in the lobby. Put this money into the actual room people are paying for. Breakfast :( Had to pay extra. Didn't. Location :( Better to stay near Victoria. Kensington is a pain to get to. Circle & District lines no good. That much further out than Victoria, Marleybone or other central. It was a short walk to tube. Small 1/2 star for this... *Requests Throughout Stay* 1) Facecloths. None provided in room. Requested. None came... :( Did get tissues. Not the same thing. 2) Air Freshener for bathroom. Pipes/drains stunk terribly the entire time. Actual bathroom was furnished nicely/new; however the smell was sickening. First thing we noticed on stepping into the space :( :( :( 3) Upon booking we requested a room with a window viewing greenery or ANYTHING BUT A BRICK WALL. Guess what we got. A brick wall. Just wonderful after the horrible smell welcoming us in... 4) Extra milk (for instant coffee). This did come! Hurrah! Then they took away the 2nd mug. Two people paying...

My wife and I stayed for 1 month in order to learn the city and see if we could relocate to London. Other then the construction in witch our room was changed 2 times over the month we were there, everything was wonderful. I will say that paying for wifi daily and breakfast was odd due to the high scale of the hotel, but the rooms, staff and area were exactly what we had hoped it would be!!

The room, bathroom and shower were always dirty. All the employes are really friendly and kind. Food is good. Some of the facilities do not work properly like jacuzzi. I booked the hotel for it. After long walkings and going up and down using the stairs jacuzzi is what relaxes me. It is really noisy, even thought they let you know, too much noise. I do not think I would book it

Room was extremely small. Had to open bathroom door to step around foot of one twin bed. Location is great. Close to main attractions. Easy access to underground. Staff was excellent.

Easy access to Wimbledon and London. Very friendly staff.

The location of the hotel is convenient for public transportation travel. The spa facility was great. Has a full gym, pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and spa services like massages and facials.. I spent my birthday here and would book this one again. The only issue was my original room was right next to some maintenance construction that the hotel was doing and I wouldon't sleep odd hours during the day but it was impossible to sleep due to the noise. However, I spoke with manager and he apologized and said it was a last min fix that had to be done and he moved me to another room on the other side of the hotel where I was able to sleep better. Also, this was the only hotel out of 4 hotels I stayed in during my trip that charged for WiFi! And not jut a couple of dollars, they charge 10 pounds which came out to like 14 dollars PER DAY for wifi.. I feel WiFi should definitely be included considering I paid $550 for 3 nights.

The location was ideal for us and the amenities were wonderful. The room was quite small but very clean and well kept throughout our stay. The staff was courteous and very helpful. It was a great value for us as well.

Great location. Rooms are just ok, pretty small and kind of old looking. But overall was decent for price, considering the other options in this location.

Customer service is not in their language. They are focused on money and that is all. The concierge was clueless about even a bus schedule. Internet was out of sight in price and there is no free Wifi. The room change staff was good as were some of the desk personnel, but management couldn't be bothered. They seemed like trainees and are still learning what customer service is. As for the 'spa' the added price was disgusting. I was fooled to think the high price for the hotel meant we would have a fine experience. The room was so small for two people I had to stand sideways and shift along the wall to get to the second bed. NOT WORTH THE ALMOST $200 PER NIGHT. I FEEL RIPPED OFF.

Very small room and you never get 4 star class service at all. Very cold staff and you can not use internet in your room although there is Wi=Fi but you never get receptions.(they ask 15 ponds a day and argued for refund)Room was so small and you can never do anything except looking at ceiling from the bed.I do not recommend at all. Floor carpet was dirty. Take your risk. Put 1 star at this hotel instead.
