Stayed for one night as flying from London City Airport. Great stay, comfortable room, wifi good, good breakfast. Parking onsite although extra, which is standard in this area. Spot on for purpose and price.
Stayed for 2 nights with family to watch tennis at O2 arena. Hotel is 5 minutes by taxi from London City airport and short tube ride or cable car ride away from O2 arena. Room was spacious and clean. Wifi was good. Both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the hotel were very good.
Stayed for a couple of nights with family. The hotel is about a 90-minute drive from Heathrow and 60-minute from Kings Cross. The check-in was smooth. The room was clean and decent in size with a small window overlooking Excel. The hotel has placed 3 foot massagers at lobby level for guests to enjoy free of cost. I think that was great. Buffet Breakfast spread was average. The hotel is about 50 meters from Emirates Rope way which can take you to O2 Arena in 12 minutes for 8 bucks (2-way fare). Overall a nice hotel. The hotel is also ideal for people in transit from London City Airport which is very close. (about 10 minutes)
this is the second time my wife and I go to this lovely 4 stars hotel, everything was as good as it was last time I was there. from internet, room, room services, staff help and quick response to your needs, breakfast very good all you need is your stomach, there is gym you can use to burn calories, internet check in, fast check out to name only these, I almost forget, you can leave your baggage if your flight is late or if you are early and it is free. what more do you want?
We have just returned home from an amazing Christmas family break in London. Novotel London ExCeL was AMAZING! Our kids are 8 and 6 and were blown away by the whole experience. We arrived by boat (Thames Clipper) and cable car which was an adventure in itself. Michal on the front desk was very helpful and understanding of our needs, he allocated us a room with a spectacular view over the city and he was friendly throughout our stay. The room was much more luxurious than we are used to and the breakfast was excellent. All the staff were forthcoming and kind the entire time. On leaving, we were given a personal farewell by the General Manager, Michael Lucas which made us feel like VIP's, he politely made no comment as our daughters jumped in and out of the revolving doors! We will definitely be returning and we are grateful for such an amazing time! Thank you
Still very much a favourite location when good rates are available. Courteous and professional staff. A little disappointed with the room allocated on this occasion. Facilities a little tired and worn and not ideally suited to business use. This in comparison to most other rooms I previously stayed in, many of which have been upgraded and modernised. Hopefully, as a platinum member, a better room next time
I had an excellent stay here this week. The hotel is very well furnished and modern. Check-in was quick and efficient. My booking had been upgraded to an Executive Suite and it was fantastic. In the evening I had one the pizzas which they cook there in a special area by the bar. It was very tasty indeed. I used the gym in the morning , partly to burn off the pizza from the night before. Gym was OK - equipment not extensive but sufficient. The staff were all great. Would definitely stay again.
This is a decent hotel chosen because of its proximity to the cable car and thus a quick journey over to the O2. The first room I had was great and a slight quibble was quickly sorted and I was offered a new upgraded room without question. A great night sleep and good breakfast.
Took a while to decide between the Intercontinental & the Novotel whilst popping to the o2 arena. Opted for the Novotel next to the Excel as they offer twin rooms at a far better rate. The hotel is easy to find, nearest station is the Royal Victoria Dock, up the stairs, turn right & down the stairs, cross the road past tesco, nisa & the Crown Plaza & the Novotel is on the right hand side of the road. It is located near some restaurants, the dockside & Emirates cable car. Check in was ok, the lady on reception could see we were running late (the day of the snow & train cancellations!) & aided the chap who had a little difficulty with the booking. Had rooms 240 & 241 opposite each other, twin beds were large, pillows were weird but comfortable. The room has a separate toilet, shower & bath. There is also a fridge but a sticker stating you will be charged for the water so best to check if that's correct! We arrived back late from the concert & as we had not eaten were pretty hungry. I had seen a reasonably price room service menu so told the girlies that's what we'd do if we found nothing on the way back (apart from the obvious chocolate run in Tesco) At reception we were approached by the barman who we asked about the room service but were informed food was still available in the bar at 11:30pm!! (room service starts at 12) We had a lovely meal, totally recommend the noodles, seriously can't stop thinking about them, lots of choice, great service. Wish I had taken a photo of my food but couldn't get it into my belly fast enough. Slept well, didn't have time for breakfast unfortunately :( Have regained my happiness in Novotel after the Milton Keynes price hike. Will definitely come back again.
Another very enjoyable stay at the Novotel Excel Centre - London. A great hotel - convenient for central London via DLR; nice rooms; very friendly staff; good bar and breakfast; a great price for a Christmas shopping weekend in London.
