The property needs some renovation but London is an area that’s been around for centuries.
The staff were wonderful. Hotel was also great. The only improvement I would make is that there is no wheelchair access from the car park attached to the hotel.
Close to lots of restaurants and shopping
It took me a couple days to realize all the scraping noise came from chairs in the breakfast room on the ground floor under my room. Noise seemed a reoccurring irritation. Some of the people behind the reception desk were less than helpful even with easy questions but the restaurant workers were friendly and helpful. I’m a single working traveler staying for 9 days. I am not sure if I will choose this hotel again even though it is in a good location.
Location was terrific and the price was right. Bed was comfy. The only negative was that rooms are not air-conditioned as I had expected (the lobby is) and sleeping with window open near pubs can be a bit noisy. Other than that, I will definitely stay here again when in London.

No heat. No adapter, despite a sign in my room saying they had one. No matter when I called the front desk, no one answered the phone. The front desk clerk lied to my face and said no one called. In the grand scheme it's all small things but they add up to an unpleasant stay; and when I'm in town for a family funeral no less. Sub par. I'll never stay here again.
Very basic hotel. Clean but probably should be classified 2.5 star. Price is over priced for what it is.

We had a family health condition that required particular accommodations, and the hotel staff work were exceedingly gracious about helping us out.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The lobby was very nice and the room had a wonderful view of Russell Square. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable but that is really my only complaint
