First time staying after 8 years and it appears nothing has changed during this time—which is not a good thing. Hotel is very much in needed of refurbishment. Clean and good beds as well as convenient but that’s it. Staff pretty mediocre —said they’d send housekeeping but never did. Sad! Probably wouldn’t come back.
Everything was great except the service at the restaurant Viviré which is basically your only option for dinner.
Will stay again.
Could not beat the connivence and location next to the airport and subway system. The Room was very nice but had to have mnt come and fix non working outlets. So close to the airport, one would expect to hear airplane noise. Very quiet and cozy. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. The hotel is looking dated and thought quite pricey for the connivence. Had to go 2 floors up and across a long hallway for ice. Not sure why there was no ice machine on the first floor or if there was it was well hidden.
I have high expectations when i go to a Sofitel, so i am sad they weren't met. Mainly the staff, starting with Reception desk which even at 10 pm i had to wait. Asked about dining options and was told they close at 10:30, so i asked if that meant we were too late or we should hurry, and she just repeated the phrase. Room service slow to answer and meal took 40 minutes to arrive. The room was fine though aircon cutting out when not in the room meant slightly smelly on coming back to it. All in all a disappointment

Very convenient to the airport. I paid extra for a” luxury room “ and it was dirty and the bathroom door didn’t work or lock. A shared my concern with the staff and hits reaction was “oh.. thanks!” Seems like they hear it often.
Nice to be able to walk to the hotel from the terminal. Nice receptionist and comfortable beds.
Restaurants were being used for private parties and needed reservation for other restaurant. Bar was the only place to eat. Too many "gadget" things in the room needing explanation. No one said you had to leave your key in a slot at the front door in order for the lights to work.

perfect location to Heathrow's international terminal. convenient to get to and great access to Heathrow for our departure the next morning. The happy hour and breakfast were great and worth the additional cost. My daughters have celiacs (gluten allergy) and the breakfast restaurant (Vivre) was outstanding. They prepared them gluten free bread in a separate area and made sure they knew exactly which food items they could have (clearly marked for allergens) - overall outstanding stay and perfect location for access to Heathrow.
Staff was very good (after a bit of a rocky check-in. Room service was quick. Room was spacious with comfortable bed & furnishings
Everyone was friendly and professional. The hotel was the perfect place to stay the night before returning to the USA. The hotel was so beautiful and clean!
