Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport

Located about 20 miles from the center of Detroit, the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport provides domestic and international air services for the Detroit area. The city's Smart Bus transit system offers a bus connection that you can ride from the downtown area to the airport for only $2.50, although the bus trip will take about 2 hours to complete. Taxis are metered, but an average fare should be about $35 for the same trip and traveling this way will take approximately 40 minutes.
