Checked in around 2:00 PM and was informed that no rooms were available yet. No problem — I planned to grab a cocktail and relax by the beach.
Shortly after, I was pleasantly surprised to be told we were being upgraded to a bungalow, which was exciting and very much appreciated. My husband and I went to the room, but unfortunately it had not been cleaned. While the bed was made, the pillows were tossed onto a table covered in crumbs. The Keurig still contained a used coffee pod, the coffee cups had clearly been used, and there were crumbs and food debris throughout the room. Most concerning was the pack-and-play crib that had been left out and was covered in crumbs and food debris as well.
Given that I had been told rooms were not yet available, I assumed we may have entered too early. To give housekeeping adequate time, my husband and I decided to leave, grab some food, and return after 4:00 PM.
When we returned around 4:45 PM, the room was still in the same unclean condition. I went to the front desk simply to inform them of the issue. While waiting, I observed a woman dressed in business-casual attire speaking very harshly to one of the front desk receptionists in front of guests. The receptionist appeared either new or clearly frazzled, likely due to being reprimanded publicly by her supervisor while actively assisting another guest.
The supervisor then called me over, and this is where my experience truly began to decline.
