Comfort Inn & Suites3.0 out of 5.0

We made a quick decision to visit Kamloops and took one of few rooms available. No worries, it was just fine. Good location, walked to good restaurants or coffee. Great hot tub and friendly staff. The room had a fridge. I like glass glasses but not a deal breaker. Minimal toiletries, but again, fair for the room rate.
Your typical family hotel. Clean, comfortable, but not fancy. Call ahead to see if the waterslide is functional. It is surround with with yellow tape and appears to have been offline for some time. The internet service is abominable. I get a 4/4 bar connection, but you'll be luck to get 500 kbps and my vpn connection drops out every couple of minutes. Just loading a simple Facebook page takes over a minute. At times, even Twitter is a stretch. The wifi is effectively unusable.
Good hotel to break up the trip between Edmonton and Vancouver. Very clean with friendly helpful staff. Normal Comfort Inn breakfast. Elevator available. Only issue was WiFi which seemed to cut in and out. Many eating options nearby. Casino just up the road.
The hotel is located just off the highway and is easy to access. Check in and check out worked well. There are several restaurants in the area within walking distance. The room was clean and everything worked well except the wifi was a bit unpredictable. The breakfast was the usual and everything was well stocked. There is noise from the highway and from the parking lot.
We stayed in the Queen suite. Great size for our family of 5. The water slide was closed but the kids loved the pool and the hot tub. The pool is only 3-5ft deep so it was perfect for the kids! The beds were very comfortable and was very quiet despite being on the highway. The breakfast had lots of choices from waffles to sausage and eggs. Overall a great stay for our weekend away!
Earlier this year I had stayed at it's competitor - literally across from the parking lot from them - so my comparison is based on that. Booking was a bit tougher. I was trying to book a room with a king size bed and a pull out online but it would let me as with my two children, it considered it 4 people so it wasn't an option. Fortunately a call to the hotel staff remedied that. Checking in was fine, and throughout our visit I have absolutely no complaints about the staff. Rooms were a little on the smaller size in comparison, but beds were softer. Pull out bad had no linens on it but staff was prompt in bringing up some for us. Pool was nice to have to take the kids to, but the waterslide is still out of commission and I got the impression from staff that it may be for some time. Room was a little warm so we went to adjust the heat through the heater/conditioner by the window, but it wasn't working. Opened the window instead which caused a howling noise under the room door, which made the kids tough to settle until it cooled of a little. Hear no noise I can recall coming from any other rooms. The morning breakfast was the typical continental fare with some hot items like sausage and egg patties, which was a nice break from the typical buffet of carbs most continental breakfasts seem to be. Checking out was no issues and again compliments to the staff. Is it worth the $20 room difference compared to its competition? Hard to say. Both had it's advantages and disadvantages, depending on what we're looking for. This hotel would still be a consideration the next time we're staying in Kamloops.
Not sure whether it's worth the extra $40 compared to Quality Inn, almost right beside, but I can say it was clean, great service and OK breakfast (I mean for a Comfort Inn). Not too much to rant about, as it was the 1st time I stayed in Kamloops, so I don't have any other places to compare it to.
On our way to Sun Peaks stayed in their comfortable hotel at a way good rate. No reservation made so was able to get a lower rate. Use your BCAA for a discount. Breakfast is included in the price and it was more than adequate. The room was too hot though so not a good night sleep unfortunately.
We have four kids, so finding a hotel room that allows all six of us can be more than a little tricky. And even when we do find a room with enough beds, the layout is sometimes terrible. We've stayed at this property three times now and the suite is fantastic, the kids love the waterslide, and the free breakfast is always a hit (make your own waffles--awesome!). We've never had a bad experience and highly recommend it to others with young children or big families. :)
We spent two nights here last month. Check in was fast and friendly. The room was comfortable with a wonderfully comfortable king bed. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city which suited us. There are several restaurants within a few hundred metres and a large shopping mall nearby. Breakfast was included in the rate and it was ok.
