We love having a kitchen, to feel in control and to enjoy bringing back grocery items -- and Granville Island items -- not available in the U.S. where we live. (In Victoria, we stay at The Swan, that offers kitchenettes.) We love having a separate bedroom. Any suitcases / clutter / bicycles can be left behind in the living + dining room when we close the bedroom door. Also, a window can be left open in the living room without dumping night air directly at the bed. The next time we go, we will bring our teenager -- she will get the living room hide-a-bed. Perfect. (She was on a youth-group tour to Israel + West Bank during our recent visit.) We used the secured parking garage over-night. People with a nicer car than ours will particularly like that. (Scratches on cars parallel-parked outside in the West End is a real thing. The Rosellen offers to store luggage for ex-guests -- they stored our car + luggage + shopping bags in the back lane ( = "alley" in U.S. English) after we checked out, so we could tandem bike more before leaving town. Not only is it super-close to Stanley Park, it is close to a Blenz Coffee and a Tim Horton's on Densman Street. MGD on Denman St. is a great Korean restaurant; we had an awesome 2-person course meal for lunch at Sura on Robson St. The manager is super-practical and adaptable. We saw this in his dealings with us, and with other guests as well. He suggested we put our tandem bike in the room, 1st floor, since it is worth 3x our car's value.

Nothing to add.....................................

The check in period is only in the limited time frame, and only one people take care the whole job, so if the people ahead of you takes time to checkin, then we need waiting for long time, plus the elevator does not work most of the time.

Great location, nice staff. Would definitely book again.

Great location. Had everything needed. Great staff.

A very hospitable staff welcomed us to this property which is within walking distance to Stanley Park, the West End, the beaches and shopping on Robson. They have parking for smaller vehicles. Our room had a nice kitchen and two bedrooms.

We stayed at the Rosellen Suites a week in late April / early May 2017. The Rosellen was an apartment building (27 units) that has been converted to a hotel. The original characteristics of the apartments are still intact, making it a very pleasant, residential-feel (with kitchen & laundry) place to stay. The Rosellen is located within walking distance of Stanley Park, Lost Lagoon, and the marina. It is also within a very few blocks of groceries, and restaurants, and English Bay. Our Hotel Concierge recommended the Boathouse for seafood and it was great. The Boathouse overlooks English Bay, and is located near Davies and Denman streets. We recommend the Hop On Hop Off Vancouver Trolley. (There are 2 different HOHO systems; remember which one you on, because they aren't interchangeable.) We got 2 day tickets and were able to see much of the city, along with hearing lots of interesting information from the drivers. We picked up the HOHO trolley at English Bay, took the False Creek Ferry from the English Bay trolley to Granville Island, then picked the trolley back up on Granville Island.and then switched from Park to City tours at Canada Place. Besides the HOHO Vancouver Trolley, we walked everywhere. There are double paths common throughout Vancouver; one for pedestrians, the other for bicycles. If you step out on the bike paths, you are likely to be killed or maimed by a cyclist! Be careful! And, as a $$ making tip: invest in Lycra / Spandex industries!

Spacious and convenient. Friendly staff. In great neighborhood.

Rosellen Suites is a charming smaller hotel at Stanley Park that provides huge pleasures for it’s guests. After spending ten days there, my wife and I are pleased to report that our visit to Vancouver was made more enjoyable by staying at the Rosellen. The front desk personnel, beginning with Tag Ng ( a Bway musical fan), to Kent and Deanna are friendly, knowledgeable, people who really try harder to make their guests comfortable. The housekeeping staff, always with a smile and warm greetings kept our suite spotless. Thanks for the extra tissues you guys. Our rooms were spacious as advertised, nicely appointed and fully equipped for cooking or take-out eating. The entire vibe of the hotel is one of “you’re family, enjoy you stay”. When revisiting Vancouver there’s no doubt as to where this family is going to stay. Rosellen truly a gem of a hotel. Manny & Judy Villarrubia

So glad to learn that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for sharing your experience and for making Rosellen your Vancouver home. Next time you visit, if you are a coffee lover, try Delaney's Coffee on Denman. It is a West End institution and very local in nature. Looking forward to serving you, again, soon.

So sorry if you experienced a delay at check in. And, regarding the elevator, it works all of the time so not sure what the issue was but if you would like to let us know more detail we would be more than happy to investigate. Thanks for trying Rosellen.
