I was excited to stay here despite the mixed reviews, as I prefer to experience things firsthand before forming an opinion.
I called ahead to request an early check-in (fully understanding it’s never guaranteed). We arrived around 2:00 PM and were told the room wasn’t ready. We had opted to pay extra for a marina view, so we assumed it may have been a popular room type and simply wasn’t available yet. We were told we’d receive a call once it was ready, but unfortunately never did. While this wasn’t a major inconvenience since we spent time at the mall and returned around 5:00 PM, it was still a bit disappointing.
Once we checked in, the property felt somewhat outdated and not the typical Westin standard. We were placed in room 430 on the 4th floor next to a housekeeping storage area, which resulted in frequent noise from staff. The walls were also very thin—we could hear hallway activity and noise from above, making it difficult to fully relax during our stay.
Overall, this hotel was okay, but it didn’t quite meet the expectations I usually have for a Westin. The staff seemed to do their best, but the experience ultimately missed the mark for me.
